INDIGO PARK | Full Game Walkthrough | No Commentary

- Today a brand new Mascot Horror game was released entirely for free with Indigo Park Chapter 1. And the first impressions are very hopeful and thus we might be lucky to welcome a new Mascot Horror franchise amongst the familiar favorites.
We find ourselves at an abandoned amusement park and get to interact with the main mascot Rambley The Raccoon. Though he is not a 3D model like in FNAF, he is instead a cartoon version that can move through TV screens. I thought this was an excellent idea to have the character travel with us without the need to animate a 3D model.
The best thing about the game is its atmosphere and vibe and it proves again how important it is to have great art design and atmosphere in the enviroments of Mascot Horror games. There are plenty of Mascot Horror games out there, but some lack detail in the enviroments and the overal experience feels very hollow because of it.
Indigo Park feels detailed and vibrant despite all the destruction and ruin. There are some really tense moments and scary chase sequences and overal I was quite impressed and this is probably the best new entry for a Mascot Horror game we've had in a while. The weakest part of the game was that some of the 3D models lacked a bit of detail; especially the Lion. Hopefully they will be a bit better in upcoming chapters, but nevertheless I cannot wait to see where Rambley will take us next!

@@abbyg3404 I know, especially since when you show Rambley the Lloyd plushes at the information kiosk, it just confirms that he _despises_ Lloyd. They might have been friends at one point and had some kind of falling out, but I think that, considering how extreme a dislike he seems to have, that picture was just promotional material and they were never really friends

I thought I was just blind.. until I saw it.
he makes one mistake, he looks back during the chase, that actually can slow you down, and mostly make you panic. Never look back, always focus on running away! Best advice I can give for a horror survival game

The soundtrack of the first ever cutscene is so amazing. It just rocks so hard and I've never seen anyone talk about it.

I feel like Rambley is aware of the player. During the chase scene with Mollie when you get to the “staff only” door, he says “WAIT! THIS ROOM IS STAFF ONLY!” And when he realizes the player is getting chased he says “COME ON IN NEW STAFF!”
Rambley also talked about the player being the first to try the “Rambley-generator-mini-venture” so that the gate could open.
I wonder how come he wasn’t sad when Molly got killed? Weren’t they best friends?
why can i see other horror games in each part jeez, well the most noticeable ones was when molly was chasing you in the play thing it reminded me of the dogday chase, the generator at the start reminded me a lot of the ones you need to turn on to get rid of moon in the play thing, and the end reminds me of kinito pets song :3

The last part of Rambly's review wasnt just a review, it was the whole opera, I love this catchy song now. I can feel that this game is special in its own way now, from first encounter to the plot now, so looking forward to chapter 2

I’ve never watched anyone play Indigo Park before because I wasn’t even told about it. Watching this made me happy because I got some scares and I laughed at some parts!

this game is really cool but i'm worried about the inevitable content-farmening in the future, it's a pipe dream given the predicted outcome (goofy little guy as the main character other than the player is unfortunately a double edged sword by being interesting to all age audiences, which includes younger ones that are the main target of content farms) but _hopefully_ by some luck it'll be a lesser degree than most

This game has quickly made its way up into my top favorite horror games. With such a short first chapter, I was immediately enthralled and I'm so excited for more!!
I would love to see a full playthrough of American McGee's Alice and Alice: Madness Returns!
Be warned though, it is a rather long game.
This past year, American McGee planned out a third game, Alice: Asylum, only for EA to shoot him down. He even had a whole artbook and concept outlined, and now, he's given upon Alice entirely.
It would mean a lot to have an archive of his incredible games.
