    This strategy is decent but to only be up 8% after 30 min of action isn't good time-to-gambling math, esp. with a BR of $500 and only playing the inside. My adjustments would be start the action at $50 on those insides and then regress to the half for the 'sisters'; also bump that hard 4 and 10 to a quarter each and throw 1-5 on the horn; also take a small odds bet on your pass, that's free money, esp if your playing for free at that point.

    Played craps for the 3rd time last night. Played for 3hrs on a $100 bankroll, cashed in for $270, and tipped the dealers probably around $60 in all. I was ahead all night, and also won a bet on a repeat aces. I used only very basic strategy, placing 6&8 often, placing single odds on outside numbers, double odds on 5/9, and triple odds on 6/8. Often took my winnings on earlier bets so I got my money back, and pressed after that and got on the other numbers or bet on the horn with extra dollars. And took my bets down after 12-14 rolls. I cared more about preserving my money than trying to go for big wins. I think my own rolls when I was a shooter was like 18, 2 (and I won, betting on the Don't Pass and don't come for myself!), and my last time with the dice I rolled around 25 times (the night's high score was already set at 31 or 32). For another shooter, I also had a fun don't pass/don't come bet on the 6 & 8, the worst numbers to be on, but both bets won.
    After playing, one of the dealers said thanks, I was a great, fun player to deal for. That made me feel good.

    • @ColorUp
      @ColorUp  Рік тому +1

      If you’d like. Field covers more numbers but cost more and is a one roll bet, so money churns faster. Can be good or bad depending on how the dice roll.

  • @jimklemens5018
    @jimklemens5018 Рік тому +1

    You should start with a $30 to $50 Don't Pass bet and then add the Inside bets after the point is established.

    • @ColorUp
      @ColorUp  Рік тому

      That would work great as long as can avoid the most common number for the come out roll, and avoid the point once the don't is established....plenty of reasons not to do as you suggest, but it does work out some of the time.

    • @jimklemens5018
      @jimklemens5018 Рік тому +1

      @ColorUp Don't Pass has the lowest house edge on the table and hybrid style betting is a great way to earn tier credits, while still giving you the opportunity to make a lot of money on a long roll.

    • @ColorUp
      @ColorUp  Рік тому +3

      It might be good idea if tier credits is goal, but you are just gambling additional money. Again, first roll is most likely to lose, and still have to avoid it once point set. It may work or not, just depends how the dice roll. If you want to win more stick to one side or other and don’t hedge. The dont is .01% lower than pass, hardly significant.

    • @jimklemens5018
      @jimklemens5018 Рік тому

      @ColorUp Losing your Don't Pass bet on the comeout roll is just part of the cost of doing business. ( I have lost $1,400 on seven natural comeout winners in a row.) It's the same as betting on the Pass and not having the point rolled. I think of it as betting on a coin flip.
      Playing hybrid isn't a hedge because your Place bets can win and your Don't Pass bet can win. You're just hoping for the Place bets to win a few times and then have the 7 roll before the point.
      I have been playing this way for most of the time during the past two years and am up overall about $6K. I have only lost money three times. I became intrigued with this style after watching WagerMeThis videos. What do you think of Jacob?

    • @ColorUp
      @ColorUp  Рік тому +1

      Yes, it’s charged on win amount, where as a real table it is charged on bet amount. Not sure if it’s just programmed by someone who doesn’t know the game, or more likely they did it that way to squeeze a few more Pennies from player. Either way it’s still better than place bet payout.

    At 24:00 you’ve had back to back decent to good rolls and if you 7 you’re $5 up. This is not good. IMO, any good Strat has to hedge against loss while also making you money without needing consecutive 20 roll shooters…bc you will definitely have your point/7 rolls. In this Strat it’s just too hard to catch up. I play something similar, so I’m not dissing the Strat overall, but you were down to $440 after 1-2 bad rolls. It simply cannot sustain you to beef a 10 roll and a 20 roll to catch you up $60. IMO you need to add/change something for this to be viable. This will keep you at the table a long time, but it’s the equivalent of blinding out in poker.

    I now prefer the RTW over the felt tables (don't have to deal with cranky dealers explaining what you want to bet, you get paid to the penny regardless if it's a proper bet or not, still get to throw the dice, etc.). Unfortunately the local casino (Ameristar @ Council Bluffs, IA) just pulled the RTW table out (with a BS excuse they didn't have enough dealers to man both electronics and felt tables - I think the real reason is that most of the dealers from the felt table were pissing and moaning (they hated having to rotate to the electronic table, it was beneath them). Why they didn't just teach dealers from the other card table games and rotate them into RTW is beyond me. I'm sick of the changes and crap that Vegas has implemented over the last 10 years - We used to make 3-4 trips a year there; not any more). Last time I was in Reno RTW wasn't introduced, now that it is I think it's time to put the Grand Sierra on my trip list. Good video, keep'em coming!

    The RTW machine at Harrahs in Cherokee NC is $10 minimum, I thought that meant $10 for each bet, but it's actually total bet. So on your $5 table, you could theoretically have a $1 line bet and a $4 field for the come out roll then once a point is established, just play the system like normal. That's what I did but with 5 and 5. Love the RTW tables, but the timer was too short for point rolls; only gave about 10 secs for us. The come out roll was 20 secs, which is too long for that phase of the game

Any chance you could test this next time you're there?

    You keep saying ‘sister’ but 5/9 are not ‘sisters’ to 6/8 … maybe Neighbors ?!? Or, if you’re going to pull Down the next less likely neighbor might you start with a 4/10 bet as well ?? Also, if you start at a higher bet like $110 inside, what would you pull down too - table minimum ?? A little more discussion about other ‘options’ in the strategy might be interesting. ❤

    • @ColorUp

      5/9 are sister numbers to each other (same odds/payouts)

    What's the deal with the uneven pexiglass? Stickman tries to get the dice to you and hits the rough edge. Winstar in Oklahoma is the same. Sure seems like with all the money in the electronics they could afford to install one solid piece.

    • @wimmywozzle778
      @wimmywozzle778 Рік тому

      @waynetisue6828 It’s so dice can’t be slid by players (cheating)

    • @ColorUp
      @ColorUp  Рік тому

      Initial the machines came out like that, and players cheated by sliding the dice. The ridges prevent players from sliding the dice across a smooth surface.

    These tables are overcharging for the vig on the buy bets.

    • @ColorUp
      @ColorUp  Рік тому

      Well the rules on it are vague and I’ve brought it up, but it is definitely programmed to take vig on win amount when it should just be bet amount for a buy bet. It’s still a better deal than place bet. Not sure if it’s just a computer programmer not knowing rules, or purposefully done to squeeze a couple more Pennie’s from players

  • @jordanstclair7380

    Just went to GSR today and saw the roll to win had a new rule up forcing players to hit both dice on the back wall - is that only for roll to win or are the live tables doing the same?

    • @ColorUp
      @ColorUp  Рік тому

      That’s pretty much a “rule” everywhere. I’ve never seen it strictly enforced at GSR, as long as people are making a real effort to toss dice.

  • @kbt4444
    @kbt4444 Рік тому

    In the beginning you hit the 8 and split the 5 and 9. When I watched your 1st video on this strategy you always split the number you hit. So I guess statistically it doesn't matter?

    • @ColorUp
      @ColorUp  Рік тому

      It doesn’t make a huge difference, if you split the 5/9 no matter what rolls, you still have a bigger bet on the 6/8 which is nice because they have the most probability to roll.
