I am ordering one the second the books open in spring of 2023 ! I've been WAITING for GMC to finally update the HD interiors and oh my lord the ultimate is KING ! well, well done.
Best looking HD truck IMO! I just need to have my $98k check ready to hand over once they come out, or I might have to wait a few months after they come out to get that level of discount!
GM has a.ways been a head of Ford when it comes added touches and finishes. And I am glad to see they have stepped it up even more. But the most important aspect of owning a vehicle is not having it at the dealership. Did they step up the quality of the parts that make up the vehicle. Pretty is one thing but reliable is more important. And lately reliability has been poor……
Fantastic video! Really in-depth look at the truck I definitely want, with info I haven't been able to find anywhere else. Not sure how you get interviews with all of the engineers & designers that you do, but it's really nice to hear straight from the people who designed the vehicle. Most informative video I've seen yet. Now, where is that lottery ticket I bought recently...might need that.
The headlight and taillight design looks much better on the HD than the 1500 IHMO! The 1500 got updated headlights but the taillights are the same they've been for a few years at least, why GMC didn't do taillights on it too...
Watching this I learned one thing. In order to get hired by GM to be a PR guy, you have to be able to use the word Ummm 20 times within a minute. They talk about Sun glare has been taken into consideration. Well they clearly didn’t think about the emblem on the center console. Forearms are about to get branded from us burning them. Ask TRX owners how that placement works.
I like the previous version of the Silverado HD better than the updated version, but much prefer the updated look of the Sierra compared to the previous version. This Sierra HD is one sharp looking truck!
At the 19 min mark upfitter switches are mentioned. Where in the GMC universe are these located or even a part number ? I just took delivery of my truck. The old style will not work as they changed the area under the steering column but the plug in harness is in the same spot.
Love how Chaz (the first guy) just smoothly put out there about how we are going to have to pay for 3 years of OnStar - 8:35 . I know that information has been out there, but still frustrating to have to pay that if you want the truck. Love the truck....just don't love that.
FWIW, My son has a 2020 Silverado 2500. He actually saved money having OnStar because the insurance discount he received was more than subscription cost. That's a good deal something to be considered in the purchase
Man I got to say I really do wish I could have my hd truck but had to get rid of it because the steering was unsafe and they could not get it fixed and after 8k miles I sold it so I would not loose my money on it. Come to find out after talking to anyone and everyone there are tons more people just like me. Wish gm would reach out to me and give me a hd truck back with a safe steering. I’m currently in a 2021 gmc you can have this one back. Instead of updating the new trucks just need to fix the things that make it short of complete. I’m paying your premium prices why can’t you offer me something of complete quality. The truck is great but the most important part of it is a giant failure If there’s a job opening for quality control im your guy.
Great video. I have been looking for some updated information on interior lighting. They have made fantastic changes to both exterior and interior of these trucks, are they still keeping just the same ol Dome lights? I have a 2022 3500 HD and it is disappointing to see there is no real lighting in there. With all the beautiful upgrades in and out lets get some lighting on the inside so you can actually see this beauty. Appreciate the great vid.
Good interview and presentation. What I think GM needs to do with their pro tailgate is rubber bump stops by the striker pin. It helps with noise and finishes off the tailgate. Please pass on.
Wow what a beautiful truck iam I love if I had the money I would certainly pick the gmc right now they are killing it on the design in and out of the truck
Nice video! Would someone please ask GM why there are no grab handles directly above the side windows? It's not like there's not enough room and those are so naturally comfortable especially for passengers.
I just want to actually use my vented and heated seats in my 22 at4. Curious if there is any update on this. No one seems to know. I mean they’re constantly making new trucks with all these new features while they still owe me some features.
I couldn’t agree more!! I would like to use my parking sensors one of these days. I paid for a truck with the options and I have tried a couple times to reach out but when I talked to the rep I was told that they are still working through the situation. My dealer said that the only chips that they have seen is for heated seats.
I have a 2023 Denali 1500 on order. Dealer told me it’s not been started for production yet and they can begin taking orders for 2024 HD in December. I’ll be changing to the HD
I have been inquiring about when I can get the cost on the 2024. I am excited about ordering a 2024. You can order one but the dealer can't get me a price. I can't order without knowing the price.
Sorry, but I go to GMC for a (gasp) SLE. Not looking to buy a truck that costs as much as a house. If I want to drive around in luxury, I'll buy a Cadillac. Oh, I already did. What I would have liked is to be able to get the E85 and 2 speed transfer case options together. Apparently, GM(C) in their wisdom precluded that from the 2023 models.
Sales guy BS is just brutal... Key words to hit plus specific topics to cover while avoiding or downplaying any negatives is so obvious it's crazy. Not hating on GMC as I own a '21 AT4 HD and I love it but these sale guys are a dying breed. People want a straight forward review, not a sales pitch.
@@Pickuptrucktalk Tim, Do you know if the improved seats are only in the luxury trims? Or will the lower trims in the Sierra have improved seat comfort? Same question for the updated Silverado HD; improved seat comfort? and if so, in all trim levels or only the highest trim levels? (Perhaps too early to know if both brands are only showing pre-production examples in the highest trim levels).
GMC has a 2 year history of BAD diesel censors… purchased my New 2024 GMC Sierra 2500 HD AT4 on 10/31/23, drove home, next day check engine light comes on after 163 miles. No replacement censors can be found in the US. Today is 12/2/23, still at dealer waiting for repair.
Great video! Would like to know what the interior will look like on the 2024 lower trim levels… will the WT, Pro, and Custom trims keep the old dash? Haven’t been able to find that answer anywhere.
I like the dark chrome. Durability over time with rock chips is what I ? How long b4 it will start peeling. My wife's highlander had the tint over chrome on her wheels like that and it started peeling and exposing just the chrome in a few years. Probably started with a rock chip and that was on the wheel not front and center like a grille
A couple things GMC should take in consideration is adding a panoramic sunroof and putting the door mirrors back in the previous locations. I don't like the location of the mirrors since they have changed it and with adding holes in the door which I don't like if I ever wanted to later change mirror locations and getting rid of the wierd drop plastic mirror bracket look. The cleaner look of the previous mirrors being up in the door window corners is a better clean straight look. Another thing that bugged me it the beginning but is slowly growing on me is the side fender flare marker lights, but I guess people can change them with their own vehicles like blacking them out or painting them to match the truck to hide them because they are an eye sore to me from the side view. Besides that it is an awesome and great looking truck. I grew up with GM trucks and cars my who life and I am a big GM guy, just not happy with some of the changes and wish GM would add certain things that the competitors have had for years now like the panoramic sunroof and other things.
Nice truck, too bad they used the hideous brownish orange interior in the Ultimate, and there are no other color options. I passed on a Yukon Denali Ultimate because of the interior color, or lack of. I realize someone may like it, I just haven't met them yet.
That front end is busy. I think I prefer the current look or the refreshed Chevrolet. And I thought the max towing in the video was 21,900. Either way I will say I'd go with a 2500 double cab short bed 6.6 gas for 14k 5th wheel.
I really enjoyed the video - especially the input from the GM people- The host needs to articulate better and cut out the meaningless jiberish though .... still he is ok.....just needs an update like the trucks get ha
Why is the Allison transmission now a sealed unit ? I've had a leak before and added fluid till I could get to a shop or dealer. There's no dip stick to check any more. I find this to be awful and causes undo cost to the owner. Men put this on themselves to check and make sure before a long haul if the fluid level is fine. Now GM wants to the business and changing fluid requires going to the dealer. What if you hire a forest Gump mechanic at the dealer and he forgets to add transmission fluid. Then realized he screwed up and says it must leak when it hot and running only. Sorry dumbass your out of warranty. Ask me how i know ?

That Denali Ultimate is one sweet looking truck. I think I'd prefer the AT4 wheels on it though. Goodbye $100k, hello Denali!
I ordered a Denali with brownstone interior. Your the first UA-cam channel to show the difference in interior colors. Thanks!
Great video, I think GM is on the right path with many young engineers and designers. GREAT JOB
2:35 lol is one of the lights out already?😂

GMC killed it with this one
Very clean 3/4 Ton Luxury Truck! They would be great for a nice big trailer for traveling. Beautiful.

They should’ve went with a gray interior with piping
Interior is awesome
Great interview Tim. Makes me want one!
Really cool lighting? Dead LED running light, not a good sign! What's next to fail??
It would totally be pre-ordered right now if it came in a white with all the chrome in a vader chrome

if people would stop buying the price would come down but gmc knows people want to be seen in the expensive truck, thus sales go up
I think found my next vehicle……… 2024 2500 🤤
Put order in Thursday. Now wait for GM to pick it up
Good interview and presentation. What I think GM needs to do with their pro tailgate is rubber bump stops by the striker pin. It helps with noise and finishes off the tailgate. Please pass on.
From the brief views of the under carriage I've seen in other videos, gm is still wax coating the frames, no e-coat.
Correct. Wax coating. GM engineers think it is superior and they aren't changing their minds anytime soon.
Wow what a beautiful truck iam I love if I had the money I would certainly pick the gmc right now they are killing it on the design in and out of the truck
What if I just get this vehicle because I like it, but I’m not into towing?
Nothing wrong with that.
Ordered mine yesterday!
How much is the total pricing they gave you for it? Can't find accurate prices. I have a call with my friends manager about one on Wednesday!

I have a 23 Sierra 2500 AT4. So after only 42000 miles my valve body has failed and we cannot get parts for 4 months. Why?
Did they mention if they fixed the hitch problem?
Are the front row seats bigger then the seats in the yukon?
“One of the best looking interiors I’ve ever seen…in a GMC” 😂 that pause said it all
Was hoping it would have super cruise or ultra cruise capabilities. Does it come with the standard 7 speaker bose audio?
The high end does.

Looks like the light is out on the driver’s side!
Within minutes of buying this truck, you’ll have to change the wheels to not look ridiculous.
100k for a truck is crazy!
Totally agree! It's a truck!
Where did you see 100k?
It is the the top trim the other are around that for the lowest trim
Exactly! At least for the trim levels I would be looking at(AT4 or Denali) with the Duramax!
Can you please show the SLE series ??
Good video 😀 but are we going to see what gear are in the information of speedometer cluster 🤔🤔
Is there any changes at all on the 3500 SRW suspension?
I’m hoping the lift kits from the 2022’s will work.
I don’t recall.
ill give it to yall u know how to make me maddddddddddd
Beautiful beautiful trucks 🔥🔥 but why is the front bumper so low to the ground
Huh?
Are the seats more comfortable than the 2022 trucks? Or are they still firm?
