Quick notes guys, scaling and elemental type always go hand in hand. If you don't have a proper element orb just pick something that your character scales on. Like if you play Seele and you can't get a good quantum orb, get an attack% orb. The damage in difference won't be that big and substats matter a lot.
Also that depends on sustains
If you are using atk% buffer when you are using atk% orb for example
The damage difference between elemental orb and atk orb will be significantly noticeable

@pedrohenriquegoncalvesdias6830 always set the orbs aside. Be it HP, Attack or Def. You can never know when they will be useful, and if you have to craft relics through syntesis, you can focus on body or boots then

I think hp orb might actually be more damage if you factor in ruan mei and bronya dmg buffs
This is a vacuum comparison. Would have liked to see with a bronya and luocha with keel so we could look at comparisions when bronya gives a huge damage % in her skill.
if you really want to min/max big damage numbers, of course wind% is your answer. but hp% helps with overall survivability and can still zero-cycle MOC10 if it has wind weakness. really the damage difference is tiny. it all comes down to your rng luck with substat rolls.

Remember that hp stat is better for survival and scales with dewdrop more
The number changes once you factor in supports. So this test doesn't really mean anything unless you're playing blade unbuffed in your teams.
someone probably already said this here, but if you have at least a Ruan Mei (and even more so if you have Bronya), Blade can just run HP% Sphere and it would actually deal more damage than a Wind DMG Sphere.
i actually did a few tests on enemies that didn't have wind weakness, and Wind DMG Sphere only beat out HP Sphere if you don't have consistent DMG boost buffs, but even then, it's not by a lot.
Edit: basically, as you said, in the end it just boils down to substats and how crazy you wanna be with min-maxing. I was crazy enough to drop Wind DMG cuz I love Blade LOL

Conclusion: There is a big difference when you have C1 and C0 blade. Overall, you still want HP build for the endgame
depends on the lightcones and supports, i run bronya and a secret vow + the e damage boost so i already have too much dmg% so adding more is goint to be less efficient so hp% is better imo
Overall HP is better you get damage boosts from bronya already (which blade mains usually have)

You can have hp substat on wind orb but no wind dmg on hp orb.
How crucial is The Unreachable Side in determining the difference? From what I can tell, the 24% DMG Boost it gives might contribute in the diminishment of it.

Hp better increase more survival
It also increases all of his hp cost tough. So unless you play solo or always pair him with luocha then hp won't always increase your survivability
For someone that rarely get "great" relic, i'm building him hp stats just because the stats i) mostly got is defensive stat (even when it start with great start, they will develop hp/def sub-stats anyway😂)
how lucky you are that all the relics have crit rate and crit damage, this game chooses me farming never gets all the relics have crit rate and crit damage

If your build isn't terrible you'll have 8k+ HP with a wind orb
What about for atk% vs type dmg %?
He scales from hp% so having atk% is useless that's why the hp vs dmg% comparison

@@haoenlin5355 mostly type dmg% is better unless the atk scaling of that character is very high then atk% have chance of being better depending on stats
So can I like go with a ATK orb for Dr Ratio cause I have a 3% - CR, 23% - CD ATK orb 🙃
