Lisbon Walking Tour: Lisbon’s HIDDEN Gem Parque Gonçalo Ribeiro Telles Praça de Espanha

- We explored Lisbon's new park: Parque Gonçalo Ribeiro Telles, a famous Portuguese landscape architect, one of the designers of the Gulbenkian gardens Lisbon, and the mentor of a green corridor from the centre of Lisbon to the city's biggest natural park: Monsanto. The Parque Gonçalo Ribeiro Telles in Praça de Espanha has a drainage system that allows rain water to flow through the park and avoid floods in the area.
The Ribeiro Telles Park opened in June 2021, replacing a myriad of roads that passed through this busy Lisbon square. Now, one can enjoy new trees, lawns, and lakes formed during rainy periods. Discover this new Lisbon garden with Zen Walks!

Thank you so much for your kind words! I appreciate your support and I'm thrilled you found the video helpful.
Zen, amigo, sorry I missed this one - in the broader neighborhood I'm looking to live in. Thanks for making this.
Hello from Japan!
Thank you for all your wonderful images of Lisbon!
I am interested in the ‘redevelopment of the Ajuda area’.
I know it's under construction at the moment, but could you film it from time to time in a fixed point of view?
the Nacional Ajuda Palace could be the first. The building could be painted and all the cars in front of it could be removed and parked at a distance, the Botanical garden could also be given so TLC.
As a Portuguese but not a lisboense i was surprised to know this park. I had already heard of it but never seen images, wished it was known and taken care of and it is strange not to see grass and ear the singing of the birds but with the airplanes passing i guess it is impossible to expect birds to fly there. Also, a lake , some water is always very important in a large park.
Hello again Alexandra!
Lisbon is in need of beautiful green spaces, this one could be so beautiful if only it was well taken care of, I have been noticing that the city council does not think it is important to have beautiful green parks and gardens in Lisbon, why are those places so abandoned, do you know?
By the way, where are the lakes you mentioned in the discription. ?
Hello again Alexandra! I realised I just answered your question in another comment from you, but here goes now in English: the lakes are only formed during rain periods (that’s what I read somewhere), when the drainage system of this park gets into action. I’ve corrected the description to mention that. Thanks for noticing!
@@ZenWalks Yes you already had answered that, thank you.
