I actually touched the lingam as when i went there it was sawaan's first monday and it was open for everyone to visit.. tho i had a VIP entry from side and i did abhishekam of lingam as we paid the priest to perform puja.. idk its good or not but i felt very good after having the puja..

The UK couple in the youtube channel "Those Happy Days" come to mind, they bought a rickshaw and travelled from the southernmost tip of India where 3 warm seas converge, all the way north to Amritsar, the Golden Temple, through jungle, mountain, desert, beaches and cities. There's so much energy i agreee. When i came down i still had the energy to go back up immediately.. i was shocked because every friend of mine was not able to walk and just wanted to sleep and i was opposite. I even climbed back around 2-3km to check my friends and cousins who were left behind and were slow. Btw i did whole yatra on my foot. Sadly i witnessed 2 landslides in front of me 4 ppl lost their lives... Om shanti 🙏🏻
I don't understand why isn't anything being done by the govt in regards to the animal abuse. This has been going on since long. Shame on those horse handlers . And SHAME on the so called DEVOTEES who takes these cruel services despite seeing the abuse. If you stop , the handlers will automatically go out of business. I visited kedarnath on 21 July tbh the animal condition is much better now. They have installed hot water for them to drink every km. And i said people who sits on horse to shout and make the horse controller realise his mistake when they hit the horse or try making them fast. I saw alot of people who very saying them not to force the horses. It was a great journey. Btw i got to know that 70% of horse comtroller and shops are of muslims. Interestingly shocking....

In our grandparent's generation before going to teerth, they used to perform some kind of last rites because it was assumed that this journey is for moksha and pitra tarpan, not sure whether people will return or not.
