I am exactly interested in the RS130 pairing wth the McIntosh MCD12000. How did you connect the RS130 to the McInsosh. I wish the McIntosh had IIS, but it does not. I have lot of native DSD files and the best option would be via the USB from RS130 to the McIntosh. Will that work on the McIntosh with this streamer or does it need a special driver?
We currently have it connected to the MCD12000 using AES/EBU. This way sounded far better to us than any other method.
Great video. Does the RS130 handle high-res audio files of 24/96khz or 24/192khz bit rates?
coaxial digital output (32-bit/384kHz max.)
Toslink optical digital output (24-bit/192kHz max.)
AES/EBU digital XLR output (32-bit/384kHz max.)
Does the Apple music support lossless in hifi rose rs130
Yes, it should.
Correction. Apple Music is standard res only. We recommend Qobuz for high res music.
@@AudioAdvice what about Tidal?
@@raineraristy5322 Tidal is an option as well.
Beautiful piece of gear!
It sure is!
I have Sony A80K, between Samsung Q990c and Sony Ht-A7000(with sub and rears)which is best given that q990c does not support q symphony and Dolby Atmos for sony tv, please any advice
We would probably recommend the Sony A7000. You can always reach out to our team of experts at audioadvice.com to discuss further. Thanks!
Do you recommend I2S to the DAC or USB?

Great video. Does the RS 130 currently function as a ROON ENDPOINT? Their web site says ROON certification is pending. Does that mean it is currently not a Roon endpoint?
Thank you. It looks like it just happened. They are now listed on the Roon site.
Great review. How important is it to use the fiber connections or will this sounds great wired normally?
You will only be able to use fiber connections to wire into the internet. Our team can assist you in the accessories needed to convert regular ethernet to fiber if you wish. It will essentially block out any physical noise sources, including network equipment. OR you can use standard WiFi to connect.
@@AudioAdvice Is the connection a copper sfp or will it be a single mode or multi-mode fiber sfp connection?
Zero difference. The goal of this device is to download files over the internet. Today we can download any file with any device. A wired or optical connection or even local Wifi will suffice for that goal, as well as a significantly cheaper device. Paying hounds for iPad? Are you sure?
Hello. Great video. I have an Anthem 1140 4K. It’s my understanding that the Anthem 1140 has a built in DAC. Will this RS130 work with my anthem or will I need to buy a separate DAC. My speakers are Paradigm Founder 120’s. Thanks.
It does but it should still work with it. Contact our team via chat or phone at audioadvice.com and they can help you with the best way to set it up!
Hi, is rose tube access all videos on youtube? Can you use the hdmi out to connect to external screen to watch youtube video while con’ecting spdf to your dac to listen to those videos on on your hifi system?
Great questions. We recommend chatting or calling our experts at audioadvice.com for them to look into this for you.
Hi, I have the RS150B, and the answer to your question is yes.
You link RoseTube to your own UA-cam account. Whilst the suggestions are optimised for music, you can actually search for and watch anything you like, with the audio via your hifi.
Can you record from this to another digital format
The RS130 is just a transport with digital out, so yes, you could send the digital stream to a device that records digitally.
@@AudioAdvice Ok! Thanks
What SFP and FMC do you recommend for the RS130. You would need 2 SFP. I know the RS130 doesnt do SFP+ so what would you recommend?

@@AudioAdvice I tried..waited 3 hours in the online chat ...during business hours. No reply. No email either
I was thinking about getting the Rose 130 and using it with a Daniel Hertz Maria 350. I am clueless about how these all hook up. I have a network Ethernet that connects to my present Hegel amp. So, I usually use my iPad to control Apple Music, IDAGIO, anything, into my amp via the network. So, can I do likewise with the Rose? Network into the Rose, then into the DH amp (which has its own “DAC”?) I also wonder if there is a way to get audio from my tv to the DH. HDMI into the Rose? Optical output from the tv to the Rose? This is unclear to me. I also have a CD player. Simple is usually better and I am hoping to keep things as simple as they are now, but am only ending up more confused as everyone wants to be an everything kind of component.
Hi Dean, please call or chat with our experts at audioadvice.com and they can help you get hooked up!
I’m seriously considering purchasing the rs130 and use my chord hugo dac but not sure if it would be compatible. Any thoughts

I wonder why they couldn't have kept the large screen and made it a whole lot smaller, like a pad. $5k seems quite costly for that big brick. I love it nonetheless and think it would look awesome on the rack.
For sure! That would be a cool design.
Do their other execs love music too or just that one guy? 🤔
As far as we know it was just him. But they've built a great team of audio lovers for HiFi Rose. Thanks for watching 😁
Awesome!
Thanks!
It will be mine....😂😂
Sounds good! Thanks for watching
Just a shame it can’t stream Apple Music in lossless
Unless Apple makes some changes, it is standard res only for now. We recommend Qobuz for high res music with the RS130.
Software continually fails and has glitches...stay away from HIFI Rose... bought their RS150 when it came out initially a few years back...have regretted the decision ever since...and their support sucks
Sorry to hear you've had a poor experience. Who was your dealer? Maybe you can try contacting them.
This device looks similar to the Eversolo DMP-A6 I recently purchased.
We'll have to check that out. Thanks for sharing!
It's not even close. I played with the Eversolo for about a month. It's great at the price point, but didn't compare to the RS 150b I also had in-house.
Wtf is a network transport? It’s not a streamer ?
Yes, it is an interesting name. It is basically a streamer with no DAC. Thanks for watching
A transport is digital out, without DAC.
Hey guys, I'm no expert. Can you hear the difference between paying 3 times more for a fancy transport only, compared to a still decent one?
The ONLY nugget of truth in this whole review is that caching the music will prevent stuttering and buffering. Unsubscribed.
We are sorry you feel that way but we appreciate the feedback. Do you mind letting us know what you don't think is true and what you would have liked to see instead? We are always hoping to improve our videos and really value community feedback.
Lol calm down buddy
Very unconvincing.
Thanks for the feedback. Would you mind telling us what you would have liked to see instead? Thanks!
@@AudioAdvice I'd settle for more practical room design segments and installation options instead of black boxes that subjectively enhance audio/visual setups. I'd rather see storage and theater-furniture segments, or even tricks-of-the-trade wiring and electrical concepts.
We are actually working on an electrical considerations for home theaters right now that we will hopefully have out soon! We also have a review of some new theater furniture coming out too. Thanks for the feedback! Very valuable for us to narrow down what to make content about!
I have owned an RS150 since it was first introduced with the AKM DAC chip...2 major issues for me with these HIFI Rose streamers or servers...they are needlessly too feature rich...so many settings and features...they sell you on fancy touch screens but in the end unless you are within a few feet none of it is of any benefit...and because the software app has so much flexibility it has been wonky for two years now...constant issues and problems...would not recommend or purchase another HIFI Rose product...they truly are selling the " sizzle" instead of the "steal" in my view
