I'm from the Dallas/Ft Worth area i never really had a problem with Mayor Johnson even when he was a democrat, he's a cool guy! I'm on the Ft Worth side of the Metroplex so some Dallas people may feel different
I'm on Dallas side and he's good. I personally know the "political activists" he's referring to and I no longer associate myself with them anymore.

I'm in Houston area and been watching Mr. Johnson for a while. I wondered the same thing. He actually has a good chance too, but he should have changed parties last year. Might not matter, Abbott is up in 2 years. I doubt he will try to run again.
