thanks for the talk . For me Color is everything so I am curious ...You are talking about colour being the best you ever seen since an S3 . are you talking using Adobe Color profile ,Adobe Standard profile , The M11 own profile in Lightroom , capture one new pro standard ?? what would you say is the best profile to use . many thanks
Very interesting and informative. The photos shown are beautiful as well. I liked the reference to the Kodachrome 64 reds. For those who have shot with K64, this describes a quality level of rendition of the reds that has taken a long time to reach with digital cameras and electronics.
The auto white balance needs a lot of tweaking. The photo came out of the M11 tend to be too cold or with magenta tint. It's easily fixable on Lightroom but with this price tag I expect better.
How much lightroom work (time) stands behind? These are not images out of the box. I have got many images of at least that quality with other M bodies right “out of the box” though. Besides, your new sensor tends to have a blue-shift as known from japanese brands while tending to veil the image “into the dark” minimizing contrast that way (too small pixels). Finally, I do not think that resolution is a quality criterion in photography (ex. Cartier-Bresson)! In science, obviously. But photography is not a technical, but artistic discipline. And the highly praised former (!) Leica look has gone too. Leica approaches rather the Japanese inage look (universal conformism). But then, I do not need a Leica anymore…
The camera looks excellent, sensor really nice, however is a big mistake for me with the shutter and metering. M should be simple and thats a “solution”. And even with firmware if you could let the shutter closed to shot properly (no lag, no shake, no noise) then you re blind. I ve been waiting so long to upgrade the 240 but I think not for this time. Really sorry. And I know theres hundreds M users like me with this issue
Locking forward to the system, when not only the preview is stabilized, but ibis.
Looks amazing! Excellent job Leica!! 🔴

wow what a camera!
link did not work for live-stream. Looking forward to watching
Can you tell me from which photographer the pictures in the background of hr.Jesko von Oeynhausen are?
Jesko doesn't age...looks the same as when he discussed the M 240 unveiling.
I updated my m11 firmware today you have to remove the sd card to be able to turn it back on and format on computer so weird
