I actually used to work with aftersales service for Casio, and I was told handcrafted cast-iron tea kettles, called Tetsubin, have a very strong tradition in Japan and is considered very high-end craftmanship. I know they also made a model called MRG-G1000 'Hammer Tone', where each bezel was hammered by master a metal craftsman from Kyoto who also made tea kettles. Hence, this is probably why the G-D5000-9JR comes with a kettle.
I think it's really cool that Casio embraces Japanese tradition and its handcraft heritage in their flagship pieces, and they're very well on their way to establish themselves in the premium segment.

Most other high end watches you can not tell what brand it is from 2 meters, because they all look very similar.

It depends though. If a rolex hulk is your grail watch and you’ve been saving up for years and you end up paying $30000 for a $10000 watch, its your choice at the end of the day. It was your grail. You’re going to die with it and pass it on, not sell it. And if you do sell it, its still worth AT LEAST 25k so you didn’t lose a crazy amount.

Funny but i trust Anthony & Marco a lot more than a lot of other dealers. They made a mistake with a bad stunt but they don't seem like bad people at all. Can't wait for them to come back strong. Perhaps I'm mistaken. From what I recall Seth sells used watches in excellent condition at very competitive prices. I'm pretty sure all of these watches are brand new. I don't think Seth sells new watches.

I have a G-Shock in my collection too. It didn't cost six digits nor is it dipped in 18K gold. But it does have a built-in SATCOM and can guide me out from literally any spot on the planet. Oh, did I mention it's got smartphone integration too? Solar charging, wireless charging, carbon fiber strap, altimeter, barometer, thermometer, stopwatch etc... A sizeable beast too at 56mm across and 20mm thick. A great watch to wear when working out, running, swimming, biking and especially hiking. Not the kind of watch Michael would wear, but it's ok for watch aficionados to have different taste - those Rolex pieces look like $69 Invicta Pro Divers LOL

About the Golden G: I really like Adam in that video. He said so true words. What if you just want to buy an awesome watch because you love it. And you don‘t think about reselling. I 100% would buy that watch if I had the money. Hell this is the holy grail of watches for me. I don‘t give a shit if you can have a Patek for it. I can smack that solid Gshock on the floor and I don‘t have to worry about it being broken. This G-Shock combines luxury with practicability. The watchworld is so full with „show off“ people. This G-Shock is just some awesome „noone knows what this thing is worth and this is awesome“. I‘d love to carry around this solid 300g of pure awesomeness and people would think I just bought it for a few bucks. Damn because it would be so much luxury for me and noone else.
I have a stainless g shock like that and it’s my favorite watch to wear.

Thanks for another great video. I have the gold G-Shock but gold plated and not solid. One of the nice things about it is the display with reverse LCD with gold digits on black background. They sync with the atomic radio signals so are always super accurate. I've the same thing in silver which is less showy. The bracelets on them are very comfortable and well made. Don't underestimate them!
I would love to see some other brands, too. At the end it's always the same 5 names. The watchworld has some mutch more to give...

I usually only collect gold watches and I've loved Gshock since age 5 but I'd never buy this watch. Gshock's are for diving, gold is (mainly) for dress watches and never the twain should meet.

IT’S NOT AUTOMATIC MOVEMENT, there’s no complication movement on that G-Shock, it’s same as simple as Quartz watch 😂 you know what is make that G-Shock expensive it’s because the solid gold, you better spend with jewelry on that, THAT G-SHOCK solid gold 100k watch is same as G-SHOCK $200 solar watch mechanism 😂 but with no gold just stainless steel.

This G-SHOCK is a piece of history, it's a celebration of engineering, try and drop a Patek with a full 18K Gold watch band onto a concrete pavement from a height of 10 meters, then try and see if it survives when you dive down to a depth of 200m. I have a Patek and it's gorgeous, but there's no way it can survive all of that. You're paying for the human ingenuity and engineering here, which is priceless

At 12:31. I saw an identical watch to this brown bezel platinum Daytona in 2015. It was new. The AD wanted $72,000 CAD. Three years later the price went up to $98,000 CAD retail at the same AD. Now the price would be way over $100,000.
