Racing My 1/5 Sprint Car For The First Time At Carolina RC Park

- My boys and I went down to Carolina RC Park this past weekend to do some good ol' dirt oval RC racing. The boys ran their 1/10 shortcourse trucks in the youth class and I only ran my new (to me) 1/5 HPI Baja Sprint Car. It was heavily modified when I bought it and it sure does have power. It was too much to handle at first.

Awesome Man they sound killer. At least Dominic is the clever one unlike the rest of us looking to run as quick as we can he goes for control.
He is very smart. He'd have beat his brother in the final except that someone who had finished already somehow turned around and tangle up with him. Lost him about 30 seconds.
That thing is a beast, sure looks like fun!
I rock a good sized power inverter that you can plug into your vehicle to charge your batteries or just have an extra car battery when you don't have access to power 👍

Great family stuff, the kind of thing my father would have hated, and took us to every week! Like hunting, and fishing, if it wasn't for me and my brother, mostly me, he never would have gotten into it. I let him drive my Savage once, there was ONE pole in a huge field, he managed to hit it. He was a great guy!

It's crazy how slow they are lol 1/8 is way faster and 10th electric is faster than both lol they look like they are running about 25 or 30 mph lol

All the angle in the wing all you're doing is compensating and putting a Band-Aid over an ill handling chassis and or suspension that's not set up correctly but nice driving for your first time ever in a big car like this they're not easy to drive especially if you don't have any type of traction control in it that some of your fifth scale guys running late models and sprint cars make it easier to handle and drive because without that tractor control stuff it'd be all over the track especially with those outlaw fifth scale late models or is basically run what you brung with a late model body
