- Actor Aarya Babbar, son of veteran actor & politician Raj Babbar got into a row with a 'Go First' (formerly GoAir) pilot. The actor cracked a joke, after which he was summoned to the cockpit by the airline pilot. In the cockpit, the pilot asked actor Aarya Babbar - 'Did you crack a joke on us? No na?'. The actor denied saying 'yeh kya chalayega'; said he cracked a joke with a friend, saying 'bhai, yeh bhi yahan hai'. Aarya babbar asked if there was a problem with a joke, the pilot replied 'ya, it doesn't sound good'. The actor refused the pilot's bid to patch up and said - I do not want to shake hands with you.

That pause Babbar took when the pilot asked him that question signifies the fact that actor was hiding something and that he really did make an insulting joke on the pilots. Now as he himself was recording the conversation afterwards, he obviously denied that he said anything insulting but everything falls flat when he took that long pause. If he was speaking the truth then he would have reverted immediately saying no. The arrogance comes free with the typical tu jaanta hai mera baap kaun hai mentality, especially if your father is a politician. Though it was not expressed vocally, it was definitely present in the emotion. The pilot on the other hand was calm and composed and all he wanted was to clarify and never even asked for an apology.

The pilot was wrong to have 'summoned' him. Did he abuse or cuss at the pilot? No! The pilot thought that he is just another common passanger whom the flight crew can bully. As soon as he found out that the passenger is an actor and is recording the incident, pilot's tone became soft. Imagine if you are riding a bus and cracking a personal joke and the bus conductor asks you to go to the driver as the driver has summoned you. The pilot is in service industry and shall respect his customers. What was the fucking pilot thinking?

A sensible person would have said sorry even if it is not his fault. If I were in his shoes I would have said "Sir, I guess there is some misunderstanding, it was a personal joke. a. The crew has a great degree of say on denying flight to a passenger, if they have reasonable grounds to do so.
b. The actor cracks a joke about another person's profession, and expects them to not get offended - (Would love to see how he would respond, if it were about him/his profession or for that matter, his standing within the said profession.)
c. He's probably breaking a whole bunch of rules, filming indoors, and very visibly - Which is banned - And taking the camera to the cockpit as well.
