On July 1, 2023, police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that had run a red light in La Crosse, WI. The driver claimed he was on his way to pick up two friends from Riverfest. However, officers detected the smell of alcohol coming from him. He procrastinated and became uncooperative when asked to perform Standardized Field Sobriety Tests (SFSTs). After being informed that he was under arrest, the situation only escalated further for the rest of the night.

Prosecutors need to STOP dropping the battery on LEO charges! It's infuriating. It also empowers these assholes to keep doing it. The prosecutor who made this plea deal needs to be fired and the judge who approved it needs to step down. This guy is a career criminal, he commits a felony and a few misdemeanors, a DUI, and only spends 11 days in jail and has to pay a few fines?!? That is why this society is so f-ed up. Nobody faces the consequences of their actions.
