The CA govt refuses to do anything as they say that any change they make is unfair to the environment. Therefore they basically follow the mantra that whatever happens happens. They won't allow anyone to do a single thing to try to prevent wildfires as it may impact some plant or animal in a negative way. They really don't care about the people that voted them in.

They aren't doing the necessary things that are needed to control wildfires which are a danger in every dry region in the entire world. These things are not new and the steps to prevent them are well known.
