- Today in Warframe we're going to quickly walkthrough the guide on how to cross save merge or link your account. It will tell you if it's merging, and it will tell you if it's linking. Merging will link up your accounts post merge, nut linking will delete the secondary accounts in favor of the first. TLDR read what you are doing and take your time. Cross Save will be back in 2024, it was just available for one day so far!

heya is it everyone that should be able to get crossave? i went on the warframe website and i didnt see it anywhere, just trying to get my account linked

You missed a big part. If you log in with a console since it’s your main. When you merge you have to have a pc account. When you merge the day Xbox and pc account PC becomes the main and is a clone of the Xbox. The rest is merged into that pc account as the main not Xbox. They don’t make that clear and @Pubsker didn’t cover this at all.

Too bad they didn’t cover the most complex part. If you login first with a console say XB acct because it’s your main. You need a PC account to merge in switch.
Step 1 merge PC and XB select XB as primary.
The merge sets the PC ACCOUNT as the main and clones XB to it, then from there when you merge Switch you can pick the main if PC or Seitch in this case you pick PC but it didn’t say Xbox so I was confused till I noticed how it handled the first link and they don’t cover this anywhere in detail and the video here didn’t cover it since the guy clearly doesn’t have the accounts or info to produce a guide
Nah i read the shit, it was just horribly explained. Why do I, a console gamer need to make a PC account to link my Xbox and PS accounts?

Just merged my account this morning, super easy and seamless. Had no issues, really great to see this feature finally added to warframe. If anyone is hesitant about doing cross save, dont. As long as you understand what youre doing then it will work just fine

So wait if you merge your pc and ps4 with ps4 being primary, does that mean you gotta play on your PlayStation or does that mean you’ll get all your stuff from the ps4 to play on the pc?

Might be a good idea to consider Merging after their Holiday break. When they are fully staffed to solve problems.
It seems to be mostly user error that's causing problems from what I've seen honestly
Ueah ive been waiting for cross save for 7 years so i can finally play the game again. Im. Ot waiting til after christmas when they promised cross save in december. It would be different if they hadnt said december. Literally everyone who saw that assumed they ment for everyone then they announced at the vgas it would be only for founders. My issue isnt woth how they are rolling it out. My issue is the lack of communication about it. If they had initiatallybsaid it will be out in december BUT everyone might not have it until january i wouldnt be frustrated. Im mainly frustrated because i feel lied to

And a question I haven't seen anyone ask what happens to your Mr if you use a lower Mr as the primary account
as far as i know you lose the mr on the higher account

but what if my primary account is PlayStation? it just keeps bringing me back to the choose login page even though I've already picked PlayStation. it's like it's forcing me to choose PC as the primary so I don't know if it will wipe my progress.

Merging only moves items you keep the progress and status of the account you mark as primary.
So if it says coming soon on the website still does that just mean I have to wait until it gives me the option to?

If anyone here is still struggling to get their accounts cross saved it's because the people at warframe have left the offices for Christmas.
They stated on their Twitter that they have concluded this year's drip into cross save and will continue it in January. I'm sorry but those who missed it will have to wait until sometime in January.

@@jawless7616weird, the first day of the new update I logged into the warframe site to try and get my Xbox account merged to a fresh pc account and it wouldn’t give me any options to do so. It only told me that it’s being released in waves.

Merging seems like the best option especially for me my main with the most progress is my switch which I lost long ago but on my ps5 I got a new account with some new frames
Just discovered today that it's finally happened how'd I miss this!
For console players that want to link their PS to Xbox and vice versa, you HAVE to create a PC account. When creating the PC account, link the main the main console account to the newly created PC account (It will take the PC account name btw). When asking which account is the primary, pick your PS/Xbox account, and link. Now even though you chose the console account as your main, it essentially copies it to the PC account. So it'll show the PC account as the main, BUT it will have your console progress. Then click the link account option again and choose the actual console you want to link (so the opposite console of the previously linked one). Its gonna show the PC account as the primary but you'll see the normal progress of your account so don't panic. Finish the link process as normal and you're good to go. My situation went like this: Create PC acct > Xbox acct + PC acct = XboxPC acct > Sign in with PS acct > XboxPC acct + Sony acct = XboxPCSony acct. Sorry for the confusion, if i could use pics it would be easier.
Did, everything turned out fine, just took my time, read and yeah, now the challenge of getting gyro as I am a terrible human being(read controller user) and that was the one thing that kept me on the switch besides being a way to play with my best friend until cross save and cross play came out, so now I can go back, but now I got so used to gyro that I need to figure out how to set up gyro and all that lol
Since 2018 I have been playing on Switch. I would later ditch my Switch Account at Mastery Rank 13 for various reasons and started playing on my Xbox, I then got to MR 16 on my Xbox. I took a break from Warframe and once I got a PC I was sad I couldn’t use my other accounts; but no longer! I have merged my two Warframe accounts, and I am free!
Me, my partner and my friend all did an account link with no problem. We had to fight through the traffic jam on the site, but that was to be expected. It literally couldn't have been easier otherwise.

Account merging would be huge for me. Some of my favorite frames, weapons, and mods were left behind when I sold my ps4 and switched to PC. It'd be nice to get everything back so I don't have to grind my ass off... Specially since most of that stuff has been vaulted.

I have a few questions mainly on progress, so my Xbox account has the most progress so far with my pc account second.
If I make my xbox account my main one, will I be able to change the email on that account then? I know you can change the email for pc.
If this is not the case (since my pc account uses my main email I want to use), if I made my pc account the main will my MR, quest and syndicate progression be up to date? Since my xbox is up to date with Duviri while my pc was when Fortuna came out.
Finally I’ve been waiting for the l moment to transfer my Xbox save to my PC because my controller got drift and I genuinely don’t want to buy another controller
The merging had a deadline back in November now I can only link which is not something I wanted to do since
my PS4 is on its last leg I wanted to transfer my ps4 account into my PC account.
Will they allow players to do the merge when they get back after the holidays or is that November deadline set in stone?
I'm trying it 2 days after, and it doesn't give me the option to do the cross platform save, it still says that its coming soon :/
I've logged into Warframe to merge accounts everyday for nearly the entirety of December. It has always said, "Coming Soon:
Cross Platform Save
Cross Platform Save is being released in phases to different groups of players. You can't connect your accounts just yet, Tenno, but please check back later!" I made my pc account in Dec of 2013.
yeah on december 22 it was up for a bit but they took it back down, still trying to find out when itll come back but so far havent found anything on that

I read the FAQ, but it doesn't answer my question. I have an old PC account that I want to use to play on PLAYSTATION, that's where I have all my progress. But my PlayStation account has the Obsidian Skins and I want to keep those. How do go about it in order to merge both accounts without losing my Obsidian Skins?.

So I just made a pc account like 2 days ago but I have my ps4 account that’s been there since the beginning of the games life cycle. Does that mean I’ll never be able to merge? Or do I just need to wait till it’s rolled out?

So if I want to have my inventory and progress on my PS4 into my new console, the Xbox XS, I use merge and not Link right?
Hopefully the rest of us player will be able to merge sooner than later I've water years to get back into Warframe I'm excited to have a game other than destiny to grind again

@@chrysgounand9442 I just check the Warframe website like x2/x3 times a day, log in and go to account management. If you're able to merge it'll say so otherwise it'll tell you it's on its way

Only thing i'm still confused about is it seems account linking is pretty simple for PC to any other platform; however, I play on xbox and want to also play with that save data on my ps5 and I'm wary to continue until I can find clarification on how this process would work. Any advice would be appreciated, just got back into warframe after a 2 year hiatus.

Yep I’m all set happy it worked all my progress from Xbox was merge with my PlayStation and my PlayStation linked with my Nintendo

Hello, I was already able to do the merger, now I am on PC with all the progress of my PS4 account which I chose as the main one, the only thing that cannot be chosen is the PS4 nickname so that it appears on PC, right? I only have to spend 200 platinum to change it, right? thank you

Say if I manage to link my account from Xbox to PC to play on PC. What if I'd decided to go back playing Xbox? Is the same linked account going to be there or deleted like a GTA Online crosssave?
Hello. It's been nearly a month since I post a comment here and already have link my Xbox to PC. Since no reply has been made, I guess I'd reply to myself. Unlike GTA Online crossave, this doesn't delete your account when linked in Warframe; Instead, the connection goes both ways, and it syncs from linked devices. So, you can play back-to-back on said link devices.

I have never logged into a console account, that is why you yourself need to pay attention when setting it up and taking it slow.

You can log into your console account on the PC so if your going that route you should be fine
so linking my account doesn't switch my frames. items, and stuff over but merging does? ik everyone makes it sound simple but i just linked my xbox to my pc and i loaded up WF on my pc and nothing was there but all of my stuff is still on my xbox so what exactly did I do?

Will wait to link until next year, DE never makes anything simple. I play multiple games that are cross platform save and not a one was this complicated. But at least we have or will have it.

their faq used to say you only needed one account to be old enough to merge, and then they changed the wording a week after I spent like $90 on a new pc account I was messing around with

I made all of my Warframe progress on one of my secondary accounts and just want to put it on the main account. Yes, they turned it off till next month unfortunately - "Tenno - our ambitions of delivering Cross Platform Save in 2023 have been a partial success. We are hitting pause. Over 100,000 Tenno have used the feature in the short time that it was open (WOW), but it will not be open over the holidays for stability and technical reasons."
Is there a way to switch back to pc, when linking accounts i accidently mained my switch because i THOUGHT thats what i was suppised to do
idk why but when i created a new pc account is doesant show like in the video, is said like a guide line with on top 'coming soon' text.
