Black_ Fog I agree. Also if he’s a purely anime watcher- he missed the little scene change they did when Rimuru left the kids to go back to the his city.
As a light novel reader in the Tensura series, I just want to straighten out the facts in this anime: 1. The anime was adapted from a light novel of the same title, currently still ongoing. there is also a manga 2. The demon lord in this anime is not like a throne, but more like a title given to people who have passed certain criteria 3. There may be some responses or criticisms stating why rimuru's subordinates are too obedient to rimurru, that's because in that world the law of "whoever is strong wins" is applied. that's why they obeyed rimuru because only a few creatures could name even that many monsters 4. the subordinates who are named by rimuru are connected directly to rimuru in terms of rimuru's expectations of those who are named as well as in terms of the strengths of these subordinates, for example ranga with black thunder and benimaru with black flame, etc. 5. maybe some of you feel the pace beetwen early early episodes and late episodes are accelerated, this is because initially the anime from the Tensura series will only be adapted 2 vols, but because of the good response from the audience and the organizers of the anime's directors fans of this series in person. and this had become a long debate. Thankfully, this anime can be continued and hopefully it will finish like the light novel later. I am looking forward for the "harvest party". if you know what i mean :D
A common thing I think when I watch the first season is “I JUST WANT TO BUILD A PEACEFUL TOWN!” because that’s all Rimuru wanted at the start but all these troubles just keep coming to him.
Honestly, other than maybe the world/town building, the best part of this anime is those awesome dubstep sounds after Milim’s attacks. Like the one with the Drago buster? Damn
Can't agree more pal... can't agree more I have read the whole web novel and can't wait to See the faces of those who know nothing about season 2 and further 😁😁😏

it just proves that it does not matter how trope-filled something is if the writing is good enough the writing it can entertaining. Like One Punch Man, you know Saitama will win but it is How it all plays out that makes it engaging. for me, Slime is much the same way it takes all the tropes of Isekai and shows what that can be when they have good writing behind them.

I wanted to add a comment on a small detail from the OP that got me to love it right from the start: Rimuru and Shizu's movements are on beat with the song's intro, from Rimuru jolting as if in surprise to Shizu closing her eyes and tilting her head while smiling. It's such a small detail but one that stands out more than any other part.
This anime is the first to enthrall me so much i went ahead and bought all the light novel volumes that have currently been translated. WORTH IT. I really love this anime and can't wait for the next season. But as someone who read all three variants of the source material (Web Novel, Light Novel and Manga), I must say that the pacing in the second half could have been even better. The source material (especially LN and Manga) spends a lot more time between the Orc battle and the Charybdis battle (which was actually not even in the LN) with introducing the new characters, changes and evolutions of the old(er) characters and setting things up for the future. Probably enough that they could have either stretched that out to end with the conclusion of the Charybdis arc or kept the ending of the main story where it is but with the last two episodes part of it (instead of semi-filler episodes that would also have worked as OVAs). While that would have meant it would take even longer for even more cool characters to show up and awesome things to happen, I think it might ultimately have been the better choice. The other thing I really would have liked to see more off is Rimuru analyzing all the skills he (and his crew) get. Without that, it's really easy to miss just how broken his skillset is.
The anime really is great although it missed quite a lot of world building. There was like entire arc where rimuru was traveling around as an adventurer, he learned how to summon demons and became quite well known among adventurers, there are also some things about youm and some countries opinions and how did creation of tempest affect them, theres also quite a lot with other demon lords, the anime also completely skipped one very important character which must appear in season 2 or otherwise the story wont really make much sense(she should appear somewhere in milim/charybdis arc so I have no idea how will they make her introduction in s2) They also kinda skipped introduction of quite important character(beretta, the demon summoned by rimuru for ramiris), they also skipped rimuru 2nd visit to dwarven kingdom, some relationship with gazel and speculations about his skills. So the anime skipped quite a lot of things, including one very important character, but it was still very well done and it definitely made me read the light novel.
They skipped the diplomatic envoy from the Beast Nation as well which help sets up things that will happen early on in season 2. And before I forget the treaty with Blumund, more set up with the adventurer trio, and the Dwargen King teaching Rimuru how to be a ruler and their treaty. All things that are important in what should be the first half of season 2. And it is disappointing that the OVA's are not doing anything to rectify any of this.
I think they tried to fit most of what they could without cutting too much in the first season, with the idea that the studio doesn't really know if they'll get a season 2. If they did know they'd get a season 2, then they'd have more room to work with. Besides, Beretta doesn't really get to play bigger roles into the story until much much later (especially after Rimuru's story ends).
@@ferofax well, there are some scenes that are clearly from the season 2 in opening of the first season so that might hint that they planned to have 2and season
@@ferofax If they did not do those last two filler episodes at the end, then even rushed they could have fit most of the skipped stuff in. Episode 24 was nothing but previewing Diablo a.k.a Black for season 2, and 24.5 was a recap at the end of the season taken from the recap portions of the manga, which would have worked better if they did it at the end of each episode.
Having read the entire story, i am impressed at some of your predictions on noticing smaller points being relevant and they turn out to be. Looking forward to you going over the harvest festival in next season.
I absolutely can’t wait for season 2 and hope they keep the ball rolling instead of going downhill with the quality like so many other season 2’s has done
there is so much i could say about how amazing this anime was and how hyped i was when it was airing but i want to simply point out the amazing sounds when enemy's cross weapons, the quality in my opinion is amazing and sounds so dense and impactful
"She may have some semblance of a personality" My man, wait until you see what's coming. That's all I can say. Also, you didn't react to the 24.5 episode.
18:53 Ehh, not really. If you think about it, both its natural body armor and the way its body appears once cooked make it pretty clear that the Knight Spiders are actually more like crustaceans than arachnids. Basically, it's more like a giant crab. In other words, it's land based seafood, not roasted bug meat.
I absolutely loved the wins video. That Time I got reincarnated as a slime really hit home for me and inspired me to do my own writting. To see that you enjoyed this much too is awesome though I am suprised you skiped over the part with the Merchant that recognized Rimuru after he ate the dragon and saved the town with the build up and implications for more trade he has. Plus some slight foreshadow that adds to the first half of the conversation with the guy who got Rimuru the job as a teacher. His fellow pupil under Shizu.
As someone who read the web novel (at least most of it), I am pleasantly surprised at how well the anime did at not just keeping the plethora of characters but even giving them a very fair amount of screen time and development. Most Isekais don't even bother giving the main characters backstories beyond crap tropes. Also good for You for giving it the credit due. Never actually watched your videos before but I wonder how you feel about Ascendance of a Bookworm. The Anime is passable but the worldbuilding is awesome like this one.
ah, quite a pity you didn't win that little moment after Gabiru recovered from Milim's punch xD Gabiru: "aah... I saw my fatehr waving at me at the other side of the river*..." Rimuru: "your father is still alive, you dork" *referencing the japanese river Sanzu, similar to the greek River Styx that leads to the afterlife. Also, when he asked "how many FFs" he was asking how many Final Fantasies were made and "Sagrada Familia" is the cathedral in Barcelona that is taking FOREVER to complete xD
Whelp, we got Season 2, first half now but I know the video ain't gonna come out until the entire season is out. There's this arc titled "Founding of the Demon Capital". It's what the title suggest, but I'm afraid they have to cut a couple corners to try and keep it interesting. The handicapped Hinata duel is a bit "Meh" but it makes up for it. There's oh so much more in later arcs. I'm looking forward to the 8th arc.
AnimeWins, your passion actually rivals my own. I am impressed and pleased. Do continue bringing the joy of these works of love to the forefront for so many.
That whole "I'll eat the sins of your people" moment left me crying for *days* afterwards honestly. Such a beautiful moment and so very well put together. Everyone on this animation team deserve a raise just for that one moment, and another one for this entire anime in general. Also I was kinda hoping that Rimuru wouldn't be able to remove the charybdis core from hatio or whatever his name was and he would instead have to live with the burden of either consuming it or being consumed by it. I think it would have made for a cooler plot-line and given a better chance to re-introduce his character down the line. But that's just my opinion.
It was really nice to see orcs given actual character instead of them serving as just generic minions for the Dark Lord or one-off enemies who never show up again. Geld has ended up becoming my favorite character, and I hope he receives more screen time come season 2.
20:04 Also, I don't know if you noticed it since you didn't bring it up, but that big clown is also the clown that was in the ogre's flashback of the majin who burned their village down in episode 10 which is why they attacked rimuru in the first place, they thought our slime boi was aligned with him since they were wearing similar masks.
22:21 That has to be the cutest thing I have ever seen. Milim can be so insanely cute, just never make her mad! Anime wins: Oh dear lord... That was impressive... She's a LOT stronger than I thought she would be.. WOW Me: 🤭.

29:50 Fun fact: In the manga that guy is actually the merchant the Jura Tempest Federation choose to sell Vesta's Full potions. I was disappointed that they changed the scene where Rimiru realizes this from the manga to the anime because i thought that made a pretty neat connection to Vesta's earlier accomplishment (and the merchant being emotionally and financially invested already in the JTF comes into play later on in the story)
I really love this channel, family friendly and insane sense of humor, subscribed just by seeing 2 videos by this guy. It's really fun seeing someone else experiencing the stufd I already went through, makes me laugh almost all throught out the video...

Slime got a lot of hate but also got a lot of love. There were some bits that could have been better, namely a few parts being rushed and some less than stellar CGI, but despite all that I think this anime was incredible. I usually like I wait until the end of a season and binge watch, but I had to watch the first episode of slime when it aired. And then I was hooked. Wednesdays were my favorite day of the week while it was airing, and that says something. Anyway, excellent videos. You've earned another sub, I'm looking forward to watching more of these videos!

I have if you or others have time for it is Aldnoah Zero, MC uses his intelligence to defeat much more powerful opponents.
Clayman is not a vampire. However, both him and Roswaal were voiced by Dio- I mean Takehito Koyasu, so it's understandable to assume them to be vampires.
I just found this channel and have to say that I'm really loving it and how it gives me a great opportunity to look back at some anime that I adore and why I do so~
"I am prepared for Season 2" You're not, no anime-only is (I'm an LN reader btw so I know; I'm on volume 7 rn) I highly suggest you read the LNs too because the last part of the season skipped a bunch of stuff during the trip to the human kingdoms as well as a good sense of how Rimuru (+ Great Sage) thinks about the world Also i heard that the story is partially based on how the author felt while playing Dragon Quest so that's why it feels very much like a video game world
Thanks for the content! Made me laugh as usual :) love seeing all this over again getting to analyze it a little. As a novel reader, I cant wait to see you're reaction for next season...whew
I think what's great about this anime is that it knows it's strengths and plays to those. It's by no means an original premise but it executes on the premise better than pretty much any other show and it's an insanely fun journey all the way to the end.

The other thing I really would have liked to see more off is Rimuru analyzing all the skills he (and his crew) get. Without that, it's really easy to miss just how broken his skillset is.
The banquet scene and what rimuru does for the festival and in reponse to it is gonna be dark as fuck
The anime really is great although it missed quite a lot of world building.
There was like entire arc where rimuru was traveling around as an adventurer, he learned how to summon demons and became quite well known among adventurers, there are also some things about youm and some countries opinions and how did creation of tempest affect them, theres also quite a lot with other demon lords, the anime also completely skipped one very important character which must appear in season 2 or otherwise the story wont really make much sense(she should appear somewhere in milim/charybdis arc so I have no idea how will they make her introduction in s2)
They also kinda skipped introduction of quite important character(beretta, the demon summoned by rimuru for ramiris), they also skipped rimuru 2nd visit to dwarven kingdom, some relationship with gazel and speculations about his skills.
Who cares its still good
Having read the entire story, i am impressed at some of your predictions on noticing smaller points being relevant and they turn out to be. Looking forward to you going over the harvest festival in next season.
Milim reminds of a very strange combo of Natsu and Wendy from Fairy Tail. Completely cute and a rampaging monster.
can she breath fire too?!
@@Ani-me2 Natsu breathes fire, Wendy breathes tornados
@@DeadHaremGuySince you saw milim as sort of like natsu i said does she breathe fire too?
@@Ani-me2 I haven't seen her do it, but i more referring to her hyperactive and violent nature
Who needs fire when she basically has infinite mana
"You're not fooling me again. I'll be prepared for season 2!"
AHAH *YOU FOOL*
I absolutely can’t wait for season 2 and hope they keep the ball rolling instead of going downhill with the quality like so many other season 2’s has done

there is so much i could say about how amazing this anime was and how hyped i was when it was airing but i want to simply point out the amazing sounds when enemy's cross weapons, the quality in my opinion is amazing and sounds so dense and impactful
"She may have some semblance of a personality"
My man, wait until you see what's coming. That's all I can say.
Also, you didn't react to the 24.5 episode.
He did
18:53 Ehh, not really.

I love this anime so much
As someone who read the web novel (at least most of it), I am pleasantly surprised at how well the anime did at not just keeping the plethora of characters but even giving them a very fair amount of screen time and development. Most Isekais don't even bother giving the main characters backstories beyond crap tropes. Also good for You for giving it the credit due. Never actually watched your videos before but I wonder how you feel about Ascendance of a Bookworm. The Anime is passable but the worldbuilding is awesome like this one.
I hope you do Season 2, but if you don't have the time we can wait.
ah, quite a pity you didn't win that little moment after Gabiru recovered from Milim's punch xD
Gabiru: "aah... I saw my fatehr waving at me at the other side of the river*..."
Rimuru: "your father is still alive, you dork"
*referencing the japanese river Sanzu, similar to the greek River Styx that leads to the afterlife.
Also, when he asked "how many FFs" he was asking how many Final Fantasies were made and "Sagrada Familia" is the cathedral in Barcelona that is taking FOREVER to complete xD
this is a joke about how the title is "first half" instead of "second half"
You reminded me how great this show is AGAIN! It's so awesome to hear someone else excited about this amazing show. Thank you for all your hard work!
I LIKE THIS SPIRIT A LOT! MOVING ON!

When I watch anime where there are villains
I like looking for their POV
Getting hyped for this review was super easy, barely an inconvenience!
Ranga best boi/doggo change my mind (the edit is because I misspelled Ranga’s name and I hate myself for it)
i like this anime

i liked the video
I thought I was ready for season 2 too.

Also, I don't know if you noticed it since you didn't bring it up, but that big clown is also the clown that was in the ogre's flashback of the majin who burned their village down in episode 10 which is why they attacked rimuru in the first place, they thought our slime boi was aligned with him since they were wearing similar masks.
22:21 That has to be the cutest thing I have ever seen. Milim can be so insanely cute, just never make her mad!
Anime wins: Oh dear lord... That was impressive... She's a LOT stronger than I thought she would be.. WOW

I Finished this anime when it released So I already watch all this But I subscribed to your Chanel and Turned on notification and waiting for second part of this all because my huge love for this anime and so glad someone beside me things this anime is great.
Ya got the title wrong
There are soo many things i love about this anime and 1 of them is they fully utilise abilities not only in combat but also in practical use and then finding new ways to improve on it
The laugh aut 4:48 sounds like Frieza, lmao

Fun fact: In the manga that guy is actually the merchant the Jura Tempest Federation choose to sell Vesta's Full potions.
I was disappointed that they changed the scene where Rimiru realizes this from the manga to the anime because i thought that made a pretty neat connection to Vesta's earlier accomplishment (and the merchant being emotionally and financially invested already in the JTF comes into play later on in the story)
As a web novel reader, I cant wait to see how they adapted season 2 for the Ln and the anime.
They are gonna have to censor the messanger scene for obvious reasons aren’t they
@@purpleheartneptune6267 oh that's gonna be fun!!
I really love this channel, family friendly and insane sense of humor, subscribed just by seeing 2 videos by this guy.
It's really fun seeing someone else experiencing the stufd I already went through, makes me laugh almost all throught out the video...
You mean second half?
"You're not fooling me again. I'll be prepared for season 2"
we'll see about that xD
Hell, your in for a ride boi.
Anime wins: It’s confusing as they look like the kids she used to teach

That was utterly brilliant... Spot on.. Cant wait for season 2 ... Keep up the tremendous work!! More Please 😁😁
Fun fact, there actually is a game about that anime!
27:05 For those who don't know the Sagrada Família is an actual building in Barcelona. It has been in construction for many many years (100 I think). Not long before the airing of the anime they restarted with the construction.
i beg u to do season 2
I’m glad to see you still posting.
Take a shot for every comment saying something along the lines of "You put the wrong half number!".

T K so just basic suicide?
Slime got a lot of hate but also got a lot of love. There were some bits that could have been better, namely a few parts being rushed and some less than stellar CGI, but despite all that I think this anime was incredible.
I usually like I wait until the end of a season and binge watch, but I had to watch the first episode of slime when it aired. And then I was hooked. Wednesdays were my favorite day of the week while it was airing, and that says something.
Anyway, excellent videos. You've earned another sub, I'm looking forward to watching more of these videos!

Me and anyone who watched or read past this part: 😏
YUS !
Wasn't here as soon as I saw it 'cause was playing with a friend, but was really waiting for it !
waiting on season 2 break down now
When will season 2 come out? loved this anime. Also keep up the good work @Anime Wins/Sins, I remember all the good times I had watching these shows with the sins/wins without going through some of the slow bits on another go round. An anime rec. I have if you or others have time for it is Aldnoah Zero, MC uses his intelligence to defeat much more powerful opponents.
Thanks mate, but patrons pick everything I make so I'm good.
@@AnimeWins sounds good. I'd support you on patreon if I could, but you know economy and money lol
Does anyone think the vampire looks like roswaal from re:zero
Clayman is not a vampire. However, both him and Roswaal were voiced by Dio- I mean Takehito Koyasu, so it's understandable to assume them to be vampires.
@@Yorekani thanks and that's why it felt like there's a jojo reference but im serious that roswaal and clayman looks and sounds the smae
I just found this channel and have to say that I'm really loving it and how it gives me a great opportunity to look back at some anime that I adore and why I do so~
Have you seen the Ascension of a bookworm? OMG I think everyone would love it!
Nice Wins! I love this series too! While I doubt you'd be making a video for them, I'd highly recommend watching the OAD's as well!
"I am prepared for Season 2"
You're not, no anime-only is (I'm an LN reader btw so I know; I'm on volume 7 rn)
I highly suggest you read the LNs too because the last part of the season skipped a bunch of stuff during the trip to the human kingdoms as well as a good sense of how Rimuru (+ Great Sage) thinks about the world
Also i heard that the story is partially based on how the author felt while playing Dragon Quest so that's why it feels very much like a video game world
Thanks for the content! Made me laugh as usual :) love seeing all this over again getting to analyze it a little. As a novel reader, I cant wait to see you're reaction for next season...whew
I like how he says spoiler alert. This has been out for soooo long and most fans read the manga. Ur kinda later bro man
I put it on Cowboy Bebop so you do the math, it's about people that haven't seen it not when it came out, just polite to do it I think.
but then again, some people who watch this channel might not have seen it and get spoiled so its good he puts it in regardless
Ah this does put a smile on my face. Ahaha your videos does put me at ease m8.
I think what's great about this anime is that it knows it's strengths and plays to those. It's by no means an original premise but it executes on the premise better than pretty much any other show and it's an insanely fun journey all the way to the end.
Eyy, lovely seeing the second half already!
DO THIS FOR THE SECOND SEASON, I NEEDD ITTT
I love this anime, nice video on it!
I said that when you made this episode, I would subscribe. You made this, and therefore, I will subscribe. Thank you.
YESSSSSSSSSSSS i love this anime. I haven't even watched the vid yet but I already know im going to love it.
