What if they're nailed down? Would you still do it?

They were in fact nailed to the subfloor so yes they were nailed down.

If you want to fix a water damaged hardwood floor, you probably want to match the existing wood. How do you lace in new boards between old boards?
We’re replacing about a third of the water damaged oak floor in the living room so we want to match the oak that’s there. We laced in new red oak in between old floor boards. Removing boards from between other boards starts at 4:10. Putting new boards in between older boards starts around 8:20. Yes, the wrap-up is in Esperanto.

Every video that I've seen references doing a lacing at the end of a room but I haven't found one where they lace the middle part lacing the end of two rooms.

@@gjergjibullari To do that you cut out the board by slicing it down the middle and pryng it out. Them you install the new board by cutting off the bottom half of the groove and dropping the board in. Then you nail it through the top and sink the nails and fill in the holes. You can also glue the board down with construction adhesive.
