Any mother would've insisted on a DNA test because any mother would cling to all hope that the body found wasn't her daughter, that her daughter was still alive somewhere. The fact that she didn't insist on DNA testing and DID NOT EVEN IDENTIFY THE BODY HERSELF smells fishy to me.

This case still breaks my heart! Paco's life is ruined. And it just reminds me of how corrupted justice system in the philippines is.
Paco is just one of the many who have been denied of justice it's really a shame that international court have to interfere in this case when our court can solve it.

I’m just twelve, *TWELVE YEARS OLD* and it’s already obvious for me that this is a set up.
First of all, lack of credibility for the evidences. I mean, one, ONE person testified against Paco while thirty-five, THIRTY-FIVE, testified that Paco was indeed in Manila when the crime took place.
Second, how can you be kind to someone who took part in a crime involving your daughter? That was just nonsense!
Third, nobody, NOBODY listened to Paco. He was never given a chance to speak at the court, which is obviously unfair. The judge at the lower court even slept throughout the trial! The lower court never listened that’s why the Supreme Court’s decision was Death Penalty (obviously by law but it was never really proven). It’s a process, the Supreme Court takes data from the lower court so it was just very unfair!
Fourth, they never looked for Jacqueline’s body. Nor did they test if the corpse’s DNA matches the mother’s. I mean, you can’t accept that! If your daughters got abducted, wouldn’t you atleast try every way of proving that they’re alive?
Last but not the least, *THEY NEVER LOOK ON THE DRUG BUSINESS SIDE*. Mr. Dionisio Chiong, was about to make a testimony about illegal drug trafficking when the sisters disappeared. It was overly obvious that it was a set up to clear their names!
There are a lot of points but I only mentioned this. Sorry if I said something wrong. I’ll repeat, *I know nothing about law and I am only TWELVE year old.*

sherlockhomes it was declared as national language only because the central govt is in luzon...but native speakers of the Filipino (tagalog) language is just 1/8 of the native speakers of cebuano language...but the thing is they just gave another name of the language to make it not seem biased.
The English subtitle is not giving justice to what the interviewee was saying.. like in the end, she was pleading to the interviewer "please get (she meant to remove) the first (she's referring to that affidavit that she was forced to sign), why did the story become like that (referring to how baffled she was when she later learned that her story got twisted in the affidavit and in the media reports)".

Generally, it was a framed-up case - the Judge(BUT was already dead), the accuser(rape(not legally declared) victims/(not recovered))' parents, etc., should be held responsible. The COURT should ignore what the defendant's(Larranaga) parents expresision feeling like reconsiderations herewith of the Chiong's initiatives. JUSTICE SYSTEM BE CHECKED AND PROFESSIONALLY OBSERVED.
This is a big mess.

I think when NBI randomly picked the suspects through the delinquent lists they weren't aware na nasa Manila na si Paco nag aaral. Maybe they thought nasa Cebu lang siya. But then, ayun na nalaman nilang Paco was in Manila. So palpak yung plan nila. So dapat panindigan na lang. Kasi binigyan na sila ng ultimatum to solve the case.

Pano mo masasabing fake ang affidavit, pero na cross examine? Lilitaw sa cross examine kung fake ang affidavit.
Ang kinalabasan pa nga ata is, hindi nga ginamit ang affidavit ng babae na to, kasi hindi nman lumitaw sa case ang testimony netong babae.
Lastly, Paco was convicted not solely of this "faked testimony", maraming nag testify na nag katugma tugma ang story. 21 ang nag witness ng Chiong, at isa lang to sa 21.
