he had an amazing eye for colors, form, proportion and a delicate linework. his weakness is the repetition in his abstraction, his work sometimes it gets weary or even weak. in return the rest of his works are great
People have every right to dislike modern art. Some, however, act as if modern art makes more traditional art disappear or reduce in value. There is plenty of traditional art available in museums and elsewhere for you to see and admire. The existence of art you don't like has no effect on art you DO like. Enjoy the work you appreciate and stop disparaging work you don't like.
@@nickfanzo Agreed, you cannot see what the artist has discarded, neither we need to. There are concepts which are valuable since birth due to our human perception and those are: rhythm, colors, similar/dissimilar. Almost every work by Cy Tombly for me at least it's full of those. If those are just scribbles and nothing more and they don't reflect any intent or artistic purpose, how could I say if those scribbles belongs to Cy Tombly or Picasso, or everybody else without knowing? There must be some king of values, just as if you take a neural network and make it generate art from those works, so our brain knows how to judge composition, colours, figurative and many other parameters
Incredible beauty here. My favorite.
You should see my six year old drawings
@@BrianBTeman-in2rcyes, that’s the idea…you get it! 👍🏼

I think the weariness is part of the work. You can say that about any prolific artist.
Eye poppingly gorgeous
The sequences is formidable...

Wonderful show
Must have been nice to have lived in a world that frames everything you produce. I wonder if Mr Twombly ever threw away anything.
S. D. Why would he?
Philip Gomez again, I don’t see the point.
Philip Gomez again what you are saying is subjective opinion, nothing more.
