Stan the Man!! Honestly love both types of videos. Love learning how you do your job but at the same time, love the timelapse type videos! It doesn't matter if it's mowing, plowing, or building, I usually end up learning something from your videos!
For video style...I like both. I'm always learning how to do things better. Last year I did a lot of skidsteer pusher and sidewalk blower work. This year I'm doing loader &12' pusher. Absolutely love it. I'm still learning the most efficient ways to clear snow in large lots. Watching your videos has taught me soo much. It's difficult to explain things or ask questions. I need to see it. You've sped up my experience rate dramatically. Thank you 😊
Love the "I'm not easy on equipment at all" statement!!! That's why I love your channel you beat the bag outta things push them too show proof it's worth the tag price!!!! Keep it up and happy holidays and a safe plow season!!!
Watching your plow videos has put my game on point ,we currently plow 32 acres of transport parking with 3 pieces of clapped out Iron and dont break a sweat . Always enjoy your videos and view points on work ,Thanks for the schooling .Cheers !
If you had a drone that could follow you around while you plow I’d honestly watch that for hours!! Love what you guys do and have learned an incredible amount from you that has really helped me in my business.
❤ Heading up to my place January 1st to check on things, while there I finally get to learn to use my skidsteer for snow clearing on my road!!! Only a bucket for now, blower later, but this sure makes me want to head up NOW!!! I miss snow badly!!!!!
Stan I'm going to be the odd duck and say both , time lapse and in-cab , just were ever you put the camera is cool with me, I did snow plowing in Central Maine it was quite the experience I'll never forget about it, loader with pusher we used ie CAT 28 loader an like you said too much down force can be a problem learned that the hard way Thanks for the trip down memory lane as always God bless y'all from Gaffney South Carolina viewer 🙏❤️💯
I work in that office complex and saw your trucks working it today. You have your work cut out for you with today's snow. Maybe I will see my car when you show today's clearing. Good job with the videos.
You are spot on, getting down to pavement as early as you can any sun will melt. But you don’t want any tire tracks if they freeze and oh man things will be hard to drive over. Clean and smooth 😁, it has started here in Wa state 😵💫it has begun 😵💫
Good Evening Gentlemen! I Like The Different Points Of View With Your Videos! So Whatever You Make I Will Always Watch👍 Stay Safe ! GOD Bless You And Your Crew 😊
Stan when I bought my 8’ arctic sectional it had thin rubber pucks on it broke 1 or two the first year when I reordered from dealer they sold me thicker ones that have not broken in a few years now although it’s a little stiffer and doesn’t seem to float as on uneven ground but still the best snow attachment on the market.
I really like your snowplowing videos. I live in East Tennessee, South of Knoxville and we don't usually get a lot of snow. A snowplow business would not be a good one to invest in here. Some few guys do it, but there's not enough profit to do more than break even. I'd love to come and visit and see some real snow, for about a day, and then head back south.
I might be looking at it wrong but as I see it the cylinder is pulling to disconnect the bucket, not pushing. If that’s correct. What ever happened didn’t happen during a proper disconnect. I would guess it happened the last time the bucket or other attachment was hooked up.
well to be honest I like a mix of views, in and out of cab. It gives a more complete picture of what is happening. Haven't had much snow yet in northwestern BC.
I've been plowing the current job for 5 years... The new guy I'm training typically does office work but lives on site. After several sessions of shush and watch while ac/dc was blaring. We had a sit down. I asked him to tell me why I do it that way. His reply was.. you never back track and are always moving snow.. I gave him a cookie. I asked if he had a better idea.... nope Seriously. Watching and paying attention to a site manager is important. Not every site has the same manager so learning is eyes open n questions saved til it's chat time.
Start a portion & switch before it gets tedious... make a good mix of'em. I enjoy'em as I'm able. Thanks for sharing. Hope y'all had a blessed Thanksgiving.
Another great video Stan @! No snow for me to plow yet but I think you would love the new Fords!!! Don't let the diesel shortage sway your opinion on what motor to get either trust me is there is no diesel it won't be long with no delivery before they are out of gas too!!!
I like the ride alongs better, I like to know why you're doing what you're doing. I know almost nothing about plowing so it's nice to learn why you do the patterns you do or why you use the tools you do. In this video for example for me it would have been nice to know why you switched from a truck to a loader using a blade one second and a pusher in the next
Hey Stan , have you tried to use salt brim to precoat the main entrance, it should make plowing easier because the snow or freezing rain will not stick , In ontario Canada the mto sprayed before a storm hits on Hwy 401 . Also have you thought about trying a Ford lighting as a plow truck?
I've done that with my little John deere last year. Lift those steer wheels and you ain't turning, then you let of on that down pressure and you snap that direction. Learned the hard way on that lol
@@Dirtmonkey hoping this storm that’s going through the Midwest will give y’all some snow so we can get more snow vids. That’s my fave from your channel. My dad and I were just talking about the electric blower you tested in the swamp last winter. Lol
I believe arctic updgraded the lower blocks in 2018 to 1/2'' thicker, we have both versions and the older one seems to break blocks like crazy. The newer one is a2019 an have not broken a single one.
Great video. So now that you have had a couple snows with new front plow what’s your thoughts. Do you prefer it over the pull plow? I mean with the new f14 it’s 2 feet smaller. Just have a lot of places we have to backblade and not sure it’s worth sinking 14k into a back blade. We take care of lot of fast food places and smaller business. So just curious sense you have used just about all of them. Maybe a new video with all the new plows and back blades that you have gotten or tried sense the video you posted couple years ago.
Did 41 years of plowing snow. This will be my second winter not plowing. Still miss it sometimes but than I give my head a shake and that feeling goes away
Saw one of them new snopower on the road Today and it looks super cool. I think it would be super interesting to try and make a mini version of it to put on my 4 wheeler.

I hop ewe get a few decent storms this year, as thisis my first real year doing snow work. I also hope that we get a few storms that start during the day.
I think you should try the Kage AdvantEdge when the snopower edge is gone.I was going to do this If I got an F14 but I stuck with my Boss 9.2 DXT /Snopower rear plow setup.
@@Dakotalogger maybe you can buy one from metalpless and have them install it on a sno-power. It's already heavy enough though. 1250lbs on your front end with the f-14 has gotta suck.
@@jamesnm21 I don’t have a F14 I have a boss 9.2 Stainless DXT I was just thinking a sectional cutting edge on the F 12 or 14 would be sweet cause it’s so wide that AdvantEdge from Kage looks like it would do the trick. I don’t think it would add much weight either
Does your loaded have a float position? That is, on your controls you can "click" boom down past its normal lower position and it opens the valves so that gravity alone holds the tool down. Great for back-blading with a bucket where you want even pressure and to follow the contours. Would that feature work on plowing?
That cylender didnt bend when pulling in. That bent extending. Thinking the pivot on the end of the cylender seized so when it extended it twisted the end. It should realisticly take almost no force to move the locks. I built one using a 300 lb force electric actuator. it is slow but it works. It literally uses 1/4 bolts in a single shear configuration. As well as a short piece of pvc pipe as a designed faiure point. Repairing that cylender should be easy. Cut the rod off and weld a new piece in place. If it was removed it likely could be straightened. I wouldnt beef it up too mich haveing a failure point other than the moving rod is better than distroying the rod.
That looks like a storks controller my storks looks just like that I like it but gotta make sure to shut it off when driving. Those big buttons are easy to hit and move the plow when you dmt want to
Wow, what a maze of roads around those buildings. Why do they put so many areas with curvy curbs and raised areas in the middle of the parking lots. Not as asthetically pleasing, but rectangular parking areas with less obstructions would make more sense to me.
Stan! I'm looking for the most light weight 8'6" v-plow (fixed v is probably fine) I can find to put on the front of my skoolie conversion bus. You know a LOT about plows, what would you recommend? I don't plan on having the blade actually touch the ground, plan on having turf skids on it to keep it up an inch or so. Thanks!
Snow Way makes an 8' V plow for 1/2 ton pickups I believe. All the others 8'2"s 8'6" are pretty darn heavy. Otherwise I think the 8'2" Boss regular steel V without the trip edge is one of the lighter ones but still over 800 lbs.
