Nice review! The Teak tuning waves complete ($20 free shipping )i bought came with trucks identical to the LC board. The first board i got from teak was a 32 plain wood ($14.99), had those cheaper trucks with spacers... def feel cheaper quality! for a quality budget board the LC or the nicer Teak completes are great options!
I got the one with better trucks but the axle on them slide and the wheels are always super loose since there is no thread. Are lc boards trucks any more durable?
@@SuzukiKQ700owner the trucks on my LC are the same old style v1 trucks teak used to use until a couple months ago they got an updated v2 trucks that are an improvement overall in all categories. I have not experienced any axel slip issue on 3 sets of v2s yet.
I brought a pair of trucks from teak like a couple years back when I was getting back into fingerboarding and I’ve still got them and there still, aside from the paint, in pretty perfect condition
This Tech deck trucks? Lol, the bollie and tech deck trucks (more or less the same 2 axis design) just hold up 2 or 3 days till I lost the first axis pin…😅 The newer 32mm tech deck trucks seems to be way better so far (haven’t killed any and used them nearly 2 very hard starting weeks) but in the end and in special the 29mm design they are all 2 axis pin design and so they will break pretty fast on harder sessions, only 1 or 2 table-ground drops and they are gone under me…🙈
GRIPSION!!!! Keep up the work dude and youve inspired me to start making fingerboards and i made my first one today and its definetly a start! I love you so much man!
I had a pair just like the featured and pretty obsolete Teak Tuning/old china trucks (which are seemingly 32mm trucks sold as 34mm or something here) laying around and when I messed around with some other spare parts I took advantage of the long wheel pin by putting additional bearings into a set of cheap wheels to produce what amounts to super budget dual bearing wheels. Turns out this combination works out better than any normal single bearing wheel would on the truck and probably better than the wheels would work on any other truck as well. Still happy to have less rag tag setups to pick from.
I got my Teak complete off Amazon. Free Prime shipping and 5% back with my Amazon card 👍🏻 Also the trucks I got were nothing like yours. Looked like the LC ones. No spacers.
I have the graffiti mc board I just ordered a normal complete teak tuning board with a complete teak tuning with apex wheels and rubber bushings the wheels arr pink and look so cool
Another way more interesting difference in the trucks, the LC trucks are single axis, the teak trucks are exactly the same shitty two axis truck like on Tech Decks where they will surly get loose over the time… Sure this can happen to single axis too but there you have the clear advantage that you can’t loose the axis cause it’s still hold on both sides with the wheels… On two axis trucks you just loose one side when it comes loose… So on the truck side you get a way way way better setup with the LC boards… Here in Germany we have a similar choice, you can buy a bollie, a spitboard or a ASI-Shop complete, all goes around for 20€ (more or less the same in US-$)… The bollie and spitboard are with more or less the same parts like teak and the ASI shop completes comes already with single axis trucks in gen 2 or 3 (depends on which size you buy, on 32mm you get 2.0 trucks and on the 34mm you get 3.0 trucks)… If tried nearly all, I bought the bollie complete, a asi 32mm complete, a asi 34mm complete and a 32mm custom with 3.0 trucks, only the spitboard I don’t tried till now and not sure if ever would cause just the same like the bollie with very poor woodwork on the decks, so I would say just not worth it… But the differences are just huge, the shop trucks are pretty well, the 2.0 is mostly the typical china BRT like single axis trucks and the 3.0 already gets some more know how into it and are a pretty high level for only 15€… It came with how it looks new own baseplates, very similar to the 2.0 BRT with an own pivotcup solution and a hardened single axis pin on the hangar… Again, for the just 15€ you get way more the you would expect and with a beta bushing tuning they are on a pretty high level, not exactly like my BRTs but pretty close, too close for the price difference if you ask me…
I’m looking to buy my first one, you did you get one of the cheaper teaks or one of the better truck ones? Trying to figure out where to get my first one from
my teak tuning trucks broke after like a week of riding it and the wheels broke after another like week aswell getting an lcboards complete soon hopefully its better
LCBoards wins this one. Better at every aspect even on the deck cause it has graphics. Truckset - LCBoards, Griptape - LCBoards, Deck - LCBoards, Price - LCBoards, Feel and Stability - LCBoards. An absolute no contest.
Hi Gripsion, I just started fingerboarding a week ago or something and I know how to Ollie… well kinda, and tbh I feel like I am not gonna make it anywhere, what should I do 😢.
Looking into getting my first “pro” board but sense it’s my first I’m trying to find a good budget one to start with first. How are everyone’s thoughts on these two or if you know any other budget companies that are good if you all could give me the info on it to check out. 😊
LC Boards are a great first option just because of the quality you're getting for the price. I've heard that many other fingerboard companies offer very similar products as LC, just for double to triple the price.
Let’s go Gripsion🔥💪
LC boards be pimpin Fr
Lc for the win
Lc better ong
Not sure if it’s gonna happen but we need a collaboration between these to awesome ppl

My deck is a lc deck and I use flat face trucks with Mabel wheels and it SHREDS!!!
Yea I have the Arizona complete and it’s good but I want to upgrade the bushings and wheels or get new trucks
you gotta do broken knuckle vs teak tuning!
Congratulations on 124K🎉
Keep up the good work 😊

This must be why teak has the upgraded trucks. I order a teak to try but might have to cop an LC.

Hey Gripson can you review skull finger boards?
the wheels are meant to be floating you leave them floating on a full sized board but maybe it’s different for fingerboards
My bearings just broke on my only fingerboard and I don’t have extras😢
Do a review of the skull fingerboard complete
LC!!!!
I was about to get the same lc boards complete that the one in the video but in US $ its 16 but in canadian $ + taxes + shipping it was 40$😢

I wish I heard of lc sooner because I js order a ton of stuff from teak
