very nice and quiet climb, one of my best too .i did only the part from vaujany and i guess that the hardest part is the way to vaujany ....but be aware if you have carbon rims without disk brakes ...the road is not in very good condition the first part of the descent from the col so you are always using you breaks ...and with thez over heat du to breaking you can damage your rims ...that s happened to me last year .just before the GFNY vaujany anyway i would love to ride it again
I’ll add that in the first part of the descent, there was cow feces too… 😅 It shouldn’t spoil the fun but if you look closely I’m super careful in the curves because of this (rim brakes).
Thank you for posting this climb, my favourite place on this earth, the fact that very few riders either know it or climb it adds to its value, simply beautiful
Agreed. It has an « uncharted territory » quality. The same could be said about Col de Sarenne. So many people climb Alpe d’Huez but miss the best part !

I will be 58 years old on July 2nd. On July 2nd I will ride that road. Simply beautiful. No more words.
Very happy for you ! Enjoy it to the fullest and let us know how it went 😉
@@happiercyclist4146 Will do !

THE most brutal climb i have ever done! An Absolute BEAST!
Best cycling video I have watched in a long time...spectacular Nicolas, I wish I could do these rides with you! 😄
I'm confident we can ride together sometime in the future.
Top 👍
Merci Thomas !
Hello, is it possible to go down to Barrage deGrand maison towards the north side?
Not sure. There is a path that seems to be going that way but I’m not sure it’s accessible by bike.
@@happiercyclist4146 I did it and yes there is a path but you have to push the bike to go down
@@Mr_tony992 thanks for the heads up. Probably not great with bike shoes, right ?
@@happiercyclist4146better use hiking shoes
