I've reviewed xeno v2. I'll be getting a xeno v3 soon to review. Xeno v3 supports accent swings while sn-pixel v4 does not. They both have Bluetooth but sn-pixel had the ability to create and edit every single effect through BT. Right now, the app is only available on Android and some phones are not compatible.
Okay, this app is WAY better than what I could do on the Damien Saber Xeno V3 board... if their app would only work on my android Moto G phone. Thank you for the tutorial - super helpful!!
Wow, this is a big deal. I can't believe all of those features come at that price. The big question for me is, did they add regular/accent swings to the smooth algorithm?
That is really sad and strange since the files are present in folder to play them but no. No accent swing. If they would have that it would be as good as GHv3 with bluetooth but no, not without it. You swing the hilt and you feel it miss something. 😢 Even in the config file of each font there is a setting for accent swing but it does nothing
My SNV4 wouldn't connect to the app so I followed your firmware upgrade guide. Nothing happened when I put the saber back together but it turned back on. It still wouldn't connect to the app though, so I took it apart again, put the card back in the PC and now the card can't be read by Windows and the saber doesn't turn on anymore. Thanks a lot.
Okay, I got to the bottom of this. First of all, I have the newer board and need a different firmware and app. Second of all, my battery was dead. I charged it a bit and the saber works again. I've still no idea how the SD card got corrupted though but CHKDSK restored it and the PC reads it again.
Greetings from Moncton, NB! I ordered the Sabneo V8 lightsaber, however I’m not too crazy about some of the retractions, in particular, having no control over one. I was thinking about buying an SN pixel V4 2 button core to replace the core in the V8. Apparently, there’s a Bluetooth app for iOS now. In your opinion, would this be a worth while upgrade? I’ve upgraded the core in my V7 with Damien’s saber core and very pleased with it. I’ve learned a lot from your videos. Keep up the great work!

You could also buy a cheaper 2 button empty hilt and try selling it with the sabneo core installed. It would be easier to sell than just selling the core by itself. Food for thought.

These vids you have made on the SN pixel V4 and the android app are super helpful, Thanks a lot. I cant seem to get the 'swing image' (19:23) to work I always receive a 'send image fail' message when the setting and image are transferring through Bluetooth. The app sends 5% to 30% of the image then fails, did you have this issue at all? EDIT - problem solved, the Bluetooth signal was struggling to send a large file through the metal of the hilt, I had to remove the handle to expose the board directly to the signal!
Glad you got it solved. Soon I'll be starting a comprehensive tutorial series on all functions of the app. It's going to be the most in-depth tutorial on the net!
What I like about this, is how easy it is to upgrade the firmware. Just download the file and add it to the microSD card, put it in the chassis and put the battery back in. UW/TPS is tougher to upgrade the Asteria Heart. Very involved and includes sending files back and forth to them. Doesn't have an app to use on a phone though, but lets the use of proffie files.
I do have 1 Xeno pixel and 2 SN Pixel from Vader's Sabers and all 3 use a bluetooth app, but iOS is beta. Forcepark is the app name. (as of 1 month ago).
I've been playing with the sn-pixel v4 some more and it doesn't appear to support accent swings. It will work with proffie soundfonts in the sense that it recognizes the folder and filenames. I deleted the hswing and lswing folders of a soundfont to see if it'll play the accent swings when I swing the saber. Nada.

Wow, this new board looks nice. Definitely snapping up a core as soon as possible, but pc issues came up thanks to microsoft's mobo killing updates that I couldn't permanently disable. It's taking me a lot to not be frustrated about that. New features and effects look sweet. Makes it more versatile for non-canon fonts and such. So much more flexibility there. The BT access is killer, and the lack of iOS doesn't bother me. Will be an issue as I'd be hoping to sell these in some time, but they might have it going by the time I can make any moves on that. That pixel image feature is huge, tho. I spin baselits in a mall, but if I had something like this that I was constantly showing off I know there'd be sales. Bet I could sell them to some folks who aren't even into the replica aspect but like doing things like light painting and such. But, with even just the added effects, and hopefully improved sound, these will get way more attention. Gonna take a bit of time before I can get started on that but I have more confidence in the idea looking at these. They have a lot more of that extra something that will be more immediately impressive to people than previous boards. But, even just the simple thing of being able to do a gradient would make it stand out a lot more. I like where we're headed with these. Gonna be sweet to sorta rebuild my first TXQ. Only keeping emitter, lol. Ah, and this is the same shop I just got my double Bastila from, good to know I'm in the right spot there. Hardly leaves my hand at work and I'll probably go double pixel on that when I'm finally ready to destroy my arms and upper body entirely. God dang, I kinda geeked on this, lol. Super cool, tho. Can you please advice what the correct name is for those files or do I need to change some settings in the app? I would be really thankful for the help.

What's a bit weird I contacted the seller and they replied to me with this naming convention: "*Make sure the soundfonts file in the replaced or added soundfonts folder is the following format: xxx (x).wav Blaster-blst (x).wav Chash-clsh (x).wav Drag-drag (x).wav Soundfonts switch-font (x).wav Background bgm-hum (x).wav Turn on- in (x).wav Battle- lock (x).wav Turn off- out (x).wav Swing- swingh (*).wav swingl (*).wav BGM-bgm track (*).wav a)Replace/delete/add the soundfonts You can directly replace or delete the old soundfonts, and you can put the new soundfonts to the SD card" However, just one example, the "in" files on the SD card are not named "in (1)", "in (2)" and so on. Instead they are named "in1", "in2"... It's the same case with some of the other sound files as well. Sorry, I am new to the hobby and trying to figure this all out and find a bit confusing.

@thefrugaljedi is it also possible to flash the 2-button firmware onto a board that only came with one button? I have looked at a lot of images of this board installed in different sabers and it seems to be the same on 1-button and 2-button sabers. I'm thinking about modding my 1-button saber and add a second button.
I don't know if it's possible to do that but consider this: You can buy a 2 button core for a low price and save yourself the time and work to mod the single button core.
@@thefrugaljedi I bought a complete saber because it also comes with a neopixel blade so to me it seemed like a good bargain. Concerning firmware compatibility: I just went ahead and loaded a 2-button firmware onto my board of the single-button saber and I can confirm that it works :D

Contact TXQ directly for firmware. I don't think they've made any huge changes on the firmware. If a big change happens, I will upload a video about it.

I tried telling Tina she probably didn't need to delete that vid and then they did it even more immediately, lol. Kinda feel bad now. 😅 But just got my SNV4s in record time, and it seems to be doing accent swings. Just did a trash vid, but I at least get the point across that they're working early enough so people don't have to watch it all. I also seem to have different firmware, it was an snv4 file, not txq. It's not perfect, yet, but if what I saw of their app update comes soon, you can at least tweak audio settings that should improve the whole matter. Just hope they're per font settings rather than global. Not the end of the world if not, tho. Need to be able to set how long an accent swing, I guess, lingers, for lack of a better term, once a swing stops or changes direction. The way the playback suddenly stops there isn't the best. But that seems situational and fine for many fonts, but for others it can be a touch jarring. For others, it might be cool to just have that sound ring for a bit longer when a swing stops or changes direction. Still cool that I got this and it's working when I was only expecting the smooth swing. 👍
I got some Videos on the xeno3 on my channel doesn’t have all the cool features in the Bluetooth app like the sn v4 but it has accent swing’s lightning block responsive lock up way more sound wav files it’s amazing

I received the two button SN-Pixel 4 'Ghost' a few days ago and within 30 minutes, after connecting the bluetooth app, the AUX button stopped working. It's acting as if it's permanently pressed. I didn't press it hard or anything. TXQ are trying to help me sort it out even sending me the V4 firmware and getting me to wipe the SD card and download and install another copy. Nothing is working. Maybe the button is defective. I also received the two button, SN-Pixel 4 version of the 'Judger' today and I absolutely love it. It is truly a beautiful saber.
@@thefrugaljedi Yes, but I've removed the core completely and even though there is a 'click', it does nothing. I'm now certain the button is defective and the contact is stuck in the 'closed' position somehow.
Thanks for this clear video! I have two SN-Pixel V4 sabers. One core has an off current of around 24 mA the other one less than 1 mA. Any suggestion how to solve this high off current?

I purchased the Arrow with SN-PIXEL V4 and I'm having the same problem with the app not connecting to my saber as others seem to have had. I have all the necessary permissions turned on, the app recognizes the saber and asks if I want to Bind it, but after I click OK the Binding circle just spins forever and never gets to "connected". Mine also doesn't say charging or have a light to indicate that it's charging when I plug it in to charge it. I'm not sure if I got a faulty product or if I'm just doing something wrong.
@@thefrugaljedi I don't think I'm understanding what you're asking. I only have the one saber that is V4 (The Arrow). I had noticed that some other commenters on your SN-PIXEL V4 videos were saying that they were having problems getting the app to Bind to their saber, so I just thought I'd post saying that I too am having the same problem they are. I contacted the seller, but they just responded with a video of the correct process for binding the saber, which is exactly what I was doing. Unfortunately it just won't work for me, so I may not be able to use the app. It's still a cool saber, but unfortunately the reason I went with V4 over V3 is because of the app.
@@respectanimals Another user made sure that all updates were installed on the phone. You could also enable developer options and adjust Bluetooth settings to see if you can get it working.
@@thefrugaljedi Yeah I checked that my cell phone software was up to date and it was. It's definitely my cell phone though, as I just had both of my sons try to bind the lightsaber to their phones. One son has the same phone I do (Galaxy A53) and it would not bind with his phone either. My other son has a different phone and he had no problems binding the lightsaber to his phone. I guess it just doesn't work with Galaxy A53 5G phones. That stinks. As for developer options, I can turn them on, but I would have no idea what I'm doing after that.

Yes. You have to access the microSD card from your PC and delete the config file in the soundfont folder. It will then look in the set folder config.ini for its default style.
Im am totally happy with my two TXQ SN-Pixel V4 boards (Obi Wan EP3 and Luke EP6 hilts). The Firmwareupdates worked like described. But the Android app doesn't find either of them. In the Android operating system, both sabers are recognized by available Bluetooth devices, but the Bluetooth scan cannot find anything in the app itself. Pairing without App, only with Android is not possible. The app permissions are checked, access to Bluetooth is enabled. I'm getting lost, any suggestions?

The more tab shows you to load and remove the current effect on the saber. You can also bind the saber from there too. I'll be starting a series of tutorials that will cover every function of the Bluetooth app from start to finish.
@@thefrugaljedi i was getting some free soundfonts from greyfonts or something like that i had to rename the blasser and clash Sounds because the saber dont reconized them... that was neopixel soundfonds... thats the best Things i better bought 😊
Hi Frugal Jedi, do you know how to make my core start with a Sound font other than 1. No matter what I do it always starts with font 1. Is there something I can do with the app?
I don't think sn-pixel v4 allows you to choose the starting font but there's an easy fix. Number the folder of the font you want first as "1". Rename the current font "1" to the next available number that's free ;)
I have an SN-Pixel V4 saber, and I removed the SD card to update the firmware. After inserting the card into my Windows 11 PC it gave an error message saying that the card needed to be reformatted to be read. I declined the reformatting, as I did not want to lose the files on the card. After re-inserting the SD card into the saber and turning it on it will not work at all. No light, no sound, nothing. I would greatly appreciate it if you sent the original copied files to me. The entire card has corrupted and the lightsaber now has none of the needed files. :(

Sn-pixel v4 has more customization while the xeno v3 has less. Xeno v3 supports accent swings while sn-pixel v4 does not. I'll be reviewing a xeno v3 and I'll be doing a head-to-head-to-head comparison between h-pixel, sn-pixel, xeno v3

idk why but this video and the other website to the instructions on how to install the sn-pixel v4 didn't work Never got the upgrade success message after plugging in my battery. Im at a loss :(
The config file is limited in what you can do. I've only reviewed one saber so far that lets you do this sort of customization through editing files. That saber was the Sandman Fist Pixel. It's nearly identical to Asteria.

@@thefrugaljedi I bought a lightsaber from Artsabers, model Simplex V2, I chose Sn-Neopixel electronics so I don't know if it's SNV4 Pro or SNV4. I tested the application shown in the video and the ForcePark application and I couldn't find my lightsaber in either of them
when I launch the application, once the sa re is recognized and connected in bluetooth (it's also the ghost), most of the functions do not work (power button, drag... on the app). what to do?

Hi mate I have cal kestis snv4 saber. I upgrade the firmware but now its error. The aux button not working. The twist action now is for change the soundfont, etc. it complete mess. how to fix it to come back normal again? ☹️.

@@thefrugaljedi my firmware is from March 8th... guess I'll try updating. Edit: followed the steps and it didn't say updating so I guess it's the newest. I did have a file on the SD called ota.snv4 so I removed it. Then I put it back on and tried again (so .snv4 and .txq where on there). Still nothing
If your phone has a microsd slot and can read FAT32 then yes, you could use your phone. It's not going to be as easy as using a mouse and keyboard though.
I have a new SNV4Pro board, but it will NOT connect to my phone, or tablet, both running android. seller sent me a new core. same results, but they said they did test it first and sent a vid. (could be anything I know) I went to download the firmware, but the file extension is not txq, it's snv4. also, there is no config file in the set folder. but, I did put the ota.snv4 file in the root folder of micro sd, and insert the battery. no indication that it upgraded. but it did turn on, and functions. device will still NOT connect to my S22ultra, I have tried both developer mode on and off, and I have tried the LightsaberPro app, and the ForcePark app, version 3.9. I can't find an older version. does anyone have any insight?
snpixel v4 pro uses a different version of the forcepark app. www.saberopen.com/download/forceparkv2.apk I am currently using 1.5.55 V4 Pro firmware should be sword 2022.bin. I have the 2 button firmware for it.
I try to connect via Bluetooth and my startup saber does not appear on the micro SD, I did not see any firmware file and I installed it, I also added the configuration files and changed the name of the saber but it still does not work 😣
I just can't figure out why the app doesn't connect to the sword... the app definitely recognizes the sword... what i found out is the sandman fist is also recognized by the app but it doesn't connect
Sounds like the problem is related to the android device. Maybe the Bluetooth version is incompatible? I'll look through the developer options on Android and see if there's anything that can be adjusted to get the saber to connect. What device are you using?
what the heck is the core that shows fonts directories where each font has SUBFOLDERS division for every action???! example: "blstr" "clsh" ; "font" .. in SEPARATE FOLDERS , and NO CONFIG file 🥵 what core version is this shidd??
@@thefrugaljedi thx boss .. I'm the dude who just figured I got the SNV4 *Pro* , and since -- I installed the "F. P. 2.0" app and still fails to connect while the Android *does* see it and even can "pair" entering pin "000000" . .. so weird & somewhat a bit frustrating. .. I have an "O-port" Xeno on the way in hopes to be used on this saber until I figure out the SNV4 Pro . . Xeno 3 doesn't have nor need 'sub folders' and it is *amazingly* cooperative and easy to manipulate, I made 2 fonts ¹CoRnHoLiO and ²ArNiE (Schwarzenegger tribute) successfully (you may have them if you want, for fun and kicks) , they only are 'ok'-ish on the SNV4 after lots of trial & error and it's still just not good & amazing as it is on the Xeno which I love so much already for how smooth things are with it .. I hope soon to say the same on the SNV4P
The color of the soundboard and orientation of the micro SD card. Pro is black with micro SD facing the edge of the core. V4 is blue with micro SD facing the bottom of the core

Its a nice board, but the lack of an IOS app is a deal breaker for me, especially as the new Nexus Xeno3 is about to release and has IOS and Android apps for its BlueTooth features right off the bat. I think TXQ have really missed a trick by not making an IOS app at release. I probably won't get one of these to even try now as by the time they release an app I can use without buying a new phone I will already be into the Xeno3 ecosystem!!!😔
I tried emulating the app on Windows 11 using the android subsystem but I wasn't able to get it to work. I'm gonna try other software to see if I can get it working.

@@J_P.L You should look into the Nexus Xeno3 cores. They have have Bluetooth built in and have accent swings!

My SNV4 wouldn't connect to the app so I followed your firmware upgrade guide. Nothing happened when I put the saber back together but it turned back on. It still wouldn't connect to the app though, so I took it apart again, put the card back in the PC and now the card can't be read by Windows and the saber doesn't turn on anymore. Thanks a lot.
Okay, I got to the bottom of this. First of all, I have the newer board and need a different firmware and app. Second of all, my battery was dead. I charged it a bit and the saber works again. I've still no idea how the SD card got corrupted though but CHKDSK restored it and the PC reads it again.
You have V4 Pro. Make sure you're using Forcepark V2 and not the Forcepark app in the Play Store

You could also buy a cheaper 2 button empty hilt and try selling it with the sabneo core installed. It would be easier to sell than just selling the core by itself. Food for thought.

If you want accent swings then choose proffie. Sn-pixel v4 doesn't have accent swings. You should also look at ghv3 or xeno v3

I cant seem to get the 'swing image' (19:23) to work
I always receive a 'send image fail' message when the setting and image are transferring through Bluetooth.
The app sends 5% to 30% of the image then fails, did you have this issue at all?
EDIT - problem solved, the Bluetooth signal was struggling to send a large file through the metal of the hilt,
I had to remove the handle to expose the board directly to the signal!

What I like about this, is how easy it is to upgrade the firmware. Just download the file and add it to the microSD card, put it in the chassis and put the battery back in.
UW/TPS is tougher to upgrade the Asteria Heart. Very involved and includes sending files back and forth to them. Doesn't have an app to use on a phone though, but lets the use of proffie files.
I do have 1 Xeno pixel and 2 SN Pixel from Vader's Sabers and all 3 use a bluetooth app, but iOS is beta. Forcepark is the app name. (as of 1 month ago).
Hopefully they'll get their firmware on the cloud since the Bluetooth app does support firmware updates. Xeno V3 configurator does it
I've been playing with the sn-pixel v4 some more and it doesn't appear to support accent swings. It will work with proffie soundfonts in the sense that it recognizes the folder and filenames. I deleted the hswing and lswing folders of a soundfont to see if it'll play the accent swings when I swing the saber. Nada.

Wow, this new board looks nice. Definitely snapping up a core as soon as possible, but pc issues came up thanks to microsoft's mobo killing updates that I couldn't permanently disable. It's taking me a lot to not be frustrated about that.
New features and effects look sweet. Makes it more versatile for non-canon fonts and such. So much more flexibility there.
The BT access is killer, and the lack of iOS doesn't bother me. Will be an issue as I'd be hoping to sell these in some time, but they might have it going by the time I can make any moves on that.
That pixel image feature is huge, tho. I spin baselits in a mall, but if I had something like this that I was constantly showing off I know there'd be sales. Bet I could sell them to some folks who aren't even into the replica aspect but like doing things like light painting and such. But, with even just the added effects, and hopefully improved sound, these will get way more attention.
Gonna take a bit of time before I can get started on that but I have more confidence in the idea looking at these. They have a lot more of that extra something that will be more immediately impressive to people than previous boards. But, even just the simple thing of being able to do a gradient would make it stand out a lot more.
I like where we're headed with these. Gonna be sweet to sorta rebuild my first TXQ. Only keeping emitter, lol.
Ah, and this is the same shop I just got my double Bastila from, good to know I'm in the right spot there. Hardly leaves my hand at work and I'll probably go double pixel on that when I'm finally ready to destroy my arms and upper body entirely.

Yup. Just have to make sure they're named correctly and in the right folders.
Hi @thefrugaljedi I recently purchased a SN v4 saber and while adding new sound fonts I noticed that the saber does not play any of the endlock files. Neither the pre installed nor the new ones. Can you please advice what the correct name is for those files or do I need to change some settings in the app? I would be really thankful for the help.
The naming convention is the same as Proffie. I'll have to check if sn-pixel v4 plays the end files. I'll get back to you.

However, just one example, the "in" files on the SD card are not named "in (1)", "in (2)" and so on. Instead they are named "in1", "in2"...
It's the same case with some of the other sound files as well. Sorry, I am new to the hobby and trying to figure this all out and find a bit confusing.

That is the firmware of your lightsaber. Check the details of the file to see what date it was modified.

@thefrugaljedi is it also possible to flash the 2-button firmware onto a board that only came with one button? I have looked at a lot of images of this board installed in different sabers and it seems to be the same on 1-button and 2-button sabers. I'm thinking about modding my 1-button saber and add a second button.
I don't know if it's possible to do that but consider this: You can buy a 2 button core for a low price and save yourself the time and work to mod the single button core.

Concerning firmware compatibility: I just went ahead and loaded a 2-button firmware onto my board of the single-button saber and I can confirm that it works :D

I tried telling Tina she probably didn't need to delete that vid and then they did it even more immediately, lol. Kinda feel bad now. 😅
But just got my SNV4s in record time, and it seems to be doing accent swings. Just did a trash vid, but I at least get the point across that they're working early enough so people don't have to watch it all.
I also seem to have different firmware, it was an snv4 file, not txq.
It's not perfect, yet, but if what I saw of their app update comes soon, you can at least tweak audio settings that should improve the whole matter. Just hope they're per font settings rather than global. Not the end of the world if not, tho.
Need to be able to set how long an accent swing, I guess, lingers, for lack of a better term, once a swing stops or changes direction. The way the playback suddenly stops there isn't the best. But that seems situational and fine for many fonts, but for others it can be a touch jarring. For others, it might be cool to just have that sound ring for a bit longer when a swing stops or changes direction.
Still cool that I got this and it's working when I was only expecting the smooth swing. 👍

I received the two button SN-Pixel 4 'Ghost' a few days ago and within 30 minutes, after connecting the bluetooth app, the AUX button stopped working. It's acting as if it's permanently pressed. I didn't press it hard or anything. TXQ are trying to help me sort it out even sending me the V4 firmware and getting me to wipe the SD card and download and install another copy. Nothing is working. Maybe the button is defective. I also received the two button, SN-Pixel 4 version of the 'Judger' today and I absolutely love it. It is truly a beautiful saber.
If you unthread the aux button on the Ghost a bit, does it stop registering presses?
@@thefrugaljedi Yes, but I've removed the core completely and even though there is a 'click', it does nothing. I'm now certain the button is defective and the contact is stuck in the 'closed' position somehow.

I purchased the Arrow with SN-PIXEL V4 and I'm having the same problem with the app not connecting to my saber as others seem to have had. I have all the necessary permissions turned on, the app recognizes the saber and asks if I want to Bind it, but after I click OK the Binding circle just spins forever and never gets to "connected". Mine also doesn't say charging or have a light to indicate that it's charging when I plug it in to charge it. I'm not sure if I got a faulty product or if I'm just doing something wrong.
So other sabers bind fine with the app?
@@thefrugaljedi I don't think I'm understanding what you're asking. I only have the one saber that is V4 (The Arrow). I had noticed that some other commenters on your SN-PIXEL V4 videos were saying that they were having problems getting the app to Bind to their saber, so I just thought I'd post saying that I too am having the same problem they are. I contacted the seller, but they just responded with a video of the correct process for binding the saber, which is exactly what I was doing. Unfortunately it just won't work for me, so I may not be able to use the app. It's still a cool saber, but unfortunately the reason I went with V4 over V3 is because of the app.
@@respectanimals Another user made sure that all updates were installed on the phone. You could also enable developer options and adjust Bluetooth settings to see if you can get it working.
@@thefrugaljedi Yeah I checked that my cell phone software was up to date and it was. It's definitely my cell phone though, as I just had both of my sons try to bind the lightsaber to their phones. One son has the same phone I do (Galaxy A53) and it would not bind with his phone either. My other son has a different phone and he had no problems binding the lightsaber to his phone. I guess it just doesn't work with Galaxy A53 5G phones. That stinks. As for developer options, I can turn them on, but I would have no idea what I'm doing after that.
There are some Bluetooth settings in developer options that you can toggle on and off. I'm not sure if any of that would help though.

Is there a way to restore the soundfonts to their default setting (colour, blade style etc) after you've played around changing them?
Yes. You have to access the microSD card from your PC and delete the config file in the soundfont folder. It will then look in the set folder config.ini for its default style.
So Theorysabers uses this and I got my first one. With the 2 button one, how do I trigger the force sounds of the sound font?
Hold down the bottom button and twist your wrist with the saber pointing upwards

Im am totally happy with my two TXQ SN-Pixel V4 boards (Obi Wan EP3 and Luke EP6 hilts).
The Firmwareupdates worked like described.
But the Android app doesn't find either of them.
In the Android operating system, both sabers are recognized by available Bluetooth devices, but the Bluetooth scan cannot find anything in the app itself.
Pairing without App, only with Android is not possible.
The app permissions are checked, access to Bluetooth is enabled.
I'm getting lost, any suggestions?
Check the app permissions of the Lightsaber App. Location and Nearby devices should be allowed

The more tab shows you to load and remove the current effect on the saber. You can also bind the saber from there too. I'll be starting a series of tutorials that will cover every function of the Bluetooth app from start to finish.

Sn-pixel will read proffie without having to rename files. Be aware that the accent swings of proffie won't do anything on v4

I don't think sn-pixel v4 allows you to choose the starting font but there's an easy fix. Number the folder of the font you want first as "1". Rename the current font "1" to the next available number that's free ;)

I finally got round to renumbering the fonts. Indeed that did the trick!
I have an SN-Pixel V4 saber, and I removed the SD card to update the firmware. After inserting the card into my Windows 11 PC it gave an error message saying that the card needed to be reformatted to be read. I declined the reformatting, as I did not want to lose the files on the card. After re-inserting the SD card into the saber and turning it on it will not work at all. No light, no sound, nothing. I would greatly appreciate it if you sent the original copied files to me. The entire card has corrupted and the lightsaber now has none of the needed files. :(

So what the difference between a SN pixel v4 and the xeno pixel v3 and can the SN pixel use the same fonts as the xeno pixel v3?
Sn-pixel v4 has more customization while the xeno v3 has less. Xeno v3 supports accent swings while sn-pixel v4 does not. I'll be reviewing a xeno v3 and I'll be doing a head-to-head-to-head comparison between h-pixel, sn-pixel, xeno v3

It should just automatically show up in the app. Make sure Bluetooth is turned on in your phone and the app has permission to use Bluetooth.

Xeno v3 has accent swings. Sn-pixel v4 has way more customizable effects. If accent swings aren't important to you then go with SN-Pixel v4 or h-pixel

The config file is limited in what you can do. I've only reviewed one saber so far that lets you do this sort of customization through editing files. That saber was the Sandman Fist Pixel. It's nearly identical to Asteria.

I have cal kestis snv4 saber. I upgrade the firmware but now its error. The aux button not working. The twist action now is for change the soundfont, etc. it complete mess. how to fix it to come back normal again? ☹️.
Sounds like you installed the one button firmware. Try doing the factory reset in the Bluetooth app
@@thefrugaljedi the firmware was ota.snv4. I got it from the seller. She said its the latest firmware to fix the bluetooth connection problem. I still cant connect the bluetooth from my iphone. Or maybe i should use android phone? 🤔

Hi, I want to ask you how to name accent swings so the work, on all my fonts they are named ,,swng1,swng2” etc and dont work…?
Currently, SN-PIXEL V4 doesn't support accent swings so they won't do anything.
Has there been an update since this one? Changing the sensitivity does nothings. It's stupid sensitive so matter what I set it to.
Hmm. It should work. Have you tried adjusting through Bluetooth? Is it the flash on clash that's too sensitive?
@@thefrugaljedi don’t have Android so can’t do Bluetooth. The clash is very sensitive. Like it’s stuck on max. But so is twist.

Edit: followed the steps and it didn't say updating so I guess it's the newest. I did have a file on the SD called ota.snv4 so I removed it. Then I put it back on and tried again (so .snv4 and .txq where on there). Still nothing

If your phone has a microsd slot and can read FAT32 then yes, you could use your phone. It's not going to be as easy as using a mouse and keyboard though.
I have a new SNV4Pro board, but it will NOT connect to my phone, or tablet, both running android.
seller sent me a new core.
same results, but they said they did test it first and sent a vid. (could be anything I know)
I went to download the firmware, but the file extension is not txq, it's snv4.
also, there is no config file in the set folder.
but, I did put the ota.snv4 file in the root folder of micro sd, and insert the battery.
no indication that it upgraded. but it did turn on, and functions.
device will still NOT connect to my S22ultra, I have tried both developer mode on and off, and I have tried the LightsaberPro app, and the ForcePark app, version 3.9.
I can't find an older version.

snpixel v4 pro uses a different version of the forcepark app.

I try to connect via Bluetooth and my startup saber does not appear on the micro SD, I did not see any firmware file and I installed it, I also added the configuration files and changed the name of the saber but it still does not work 😣

All TXQ sabers use ForcePark app. There is also H-PIXEL which uses a similar app called Lightsaber Pro. Both are very good!

There's no easy way to know. If you purchased it recently, it's most likely current. Do you have single button or two button?

I just can't figure out why the app doesn't connect to the sword... the app definitely recognizes the sword... what i found out is the sandman fist is also recognized by the app but it doesn't connect
Sounds like the problem is related to the android device. Maybe the Bluetooth version is incompatible? I'll look through the developer options on Android and see if there's anything that can be adjusted to get the saber to connect. What device are you using?

Proffie works with subfolders and I believe Xeno, Asteria and SN-Pixel work that way too if you so wish.
@@thefrugaljedi thx boss .. I'm the dude who just figured I got the SNV4 *Pro* , and since -- I installed the "F. P. 2.0" app and still fails to connect while the Android *does* see it and even can "pair" entering pin "000000" . .. so weird & somewhat a bit frustrating. .. I have an "O-port" Xeno on the way in hopes to be used on this saber until I figure out the SNV4 Pro . . Xeno 3 doesn't have nor need 'sub folders' and it is *amazingly* cooperative and easy to manipulate, I made 2 fonts ¹CoRnHoLiO and ²ArNiE (Schwarzenegger tribute) successfully (you may have them if you want, for fun and kicks) , they only are 'ok'-ish on the SNV4 after lots of trial & error and it's still just not good & amazing as it is on the Xeno which I love so much already for how smooth things are with it .. I hope soon to say the same on the SNV4P

The config file has been scrapped with newer editions of the board.

The color of the soundboard and orientation of the micro SD card. Pro is black with micro SD facing the edge of the core. V4 is blue with micro SD facing the bottom of the core

Its a nice board, but the lack of an IOS app is a deal breaker for me, especially as the new Nexus Xeno3 is about to release and has IOS and Android apps for its BlueTooth features right off the bat. I think TXQ have really missed a trick by not making an IOS app at release. I probably won't get one of these to even try now as by the time they release an app I can use without buying a new phone I will already be into the Xeno3 ecosystem!!!😔
You can emulate android on any pc, don’t need to buy a new phone..
I tried emulating the app on Windows 11 using the android subsystem but I wasn't able to get it to work. I'm gonna try other software to see if I can get it working.
I'm really excited for xeno v3 too! One board for RGB or pixel and they're adding accent swings support.
@@thefrugaljedi Yes it looks good. Looking at the new Xeno3 config file it has a lot more customisation options than the V2.
