Gullfoss - The Smart EQ to level up your mix.

I had the pleasure of trying out Soundtheory's "Gullfoss" smart EQ plugin, it's now become a must have in my sound production toolset.
Gullfoss is a smart EQ that uses an auditory perception model to analyze a signal and know which elements are hidden or overpowering, based on how we as humans perceive sound. There are a number of parameters within the plugin that you can adjust to either increase or reduce frequencies that are competing within the sound you apply it to. It comes in three different versions, regular, master, and live. The regular version I apply to essentially any sound that needs it, the master version I use only on my mastering chain, and the live version is intended for live use and is lower latency.
The main parameters within Gullfoss are Recover, Tame, Bias, Brighten and Boost. Recover is what you use to bring out frequencies that are lacking or being hidden, Tame is to do the opposite and reduce sounds that are overpowering or unpleasant in the mix. Bias basically gives more attention to recover or tame, depending on the direction, Higher % is in favour of recover, while lower % is for tame. Brighten is pretty straight forward, increasing it boosts the high end of the mix, reducing lowers it.
This plugin is excellent and honestly really helped improve my mix and mastering process!
