I liked the way your family all joined in saying Worstershire sauce. I pronounce it WOOOSTER-SAUCE.. but there are so many regional variations....Great video-keep them coming....
When ever i talk to American work colleagues regarding Worcestershire Sauce..i advise just calling it 'Wooster' sauce. Its good at the start of cooking Spaghetti Bolognese too.
"Cadbury's" was started by the Quaker John Cadbury and his brother in 1824. They built a model village for their workers to give them better living conditions. The village was called "Bournville" which later became a name for the companies dark chocolate bar. Its now a conglomerate Mondelez International. Many say that the original taste is disappearing, that other cheaper products are being used. its now the second largest confectionary business in the world after Mars. There is only one taste, the one in the UK, elsewhere its a different product although with same famous name.
I put a drizzle of golden syrup on bacon when i have a bacon sandwich.Golden syrup or light treacle is a thick, amber-coloured form of inverted sugar syrup made by the process of refining sugar cane or sugar beet juice into sugar. Worcestershire sauce is basically a fish sauce similar to Asian fish sauces. It doesn't taste like fish though, more like soy sauce. It is awesome on cheese toasties or on eggs or meat.
I remember drinking hot Vimto cordial at Football matches in the 1960s. It warmed one up on a cold night at The Old Show ground watching Scnthorpe United.
The last point you were making about history, from where I live I can travel 15 minutes in one direction and 20 minutes in the opposite direction to see two different castles, I know that there are others close by (within the same radius) but I can't remember their names :/
hey girl this might amuse you, back in the day, when people didnt have much money, sqaush the juice you saw, yeah it was drink, little in the glass cold drink but it was also use for what we call ice lollies, we didnt have the lolly makers, but you know the ice cube things you fill with water, put in freezer pop them out you have ice cubes, before the fancy stuff well my mother would put the squash in the ice cube tray, with a cocktail stick, instant mini ice lolies for the summer time on hot days for the kids, it cost pennies, but still gave that ice lollie taste
In Britain we are surrounded by history. In my tiny city of Carlisle, they discovered yet another load of Roman remains and artefacts. (We're just 9 miles from the Scottish Border and close to Hadrian's Wall) Anything under at least 500 years is classed as 'modern'.😂😂
Cadbury chocolate changed when the company was sold a few years ago. It may be better than American chocolate but by British standards it isn't that good anymore. These days you are better off getting supermarket own brands
Its worth having Worstershire Sauce just to hear North Americans trying to pronounce it! Your face on the word Cadbury! Kraft stole Cadbury in a hostile bid and have set about ruining it, by fiddling with the recipes Twinnings is my favourite tea.
Worstershire sauce is commonly called just worster sauce in the uk
Talking of old British food, the first recorded recipe for apple pie was written in 1381 in England.

You can use golden syrup in the same way as maple syrup, so sandwiches, pancakes, porridge etc.
Twining @ 216 strand is the oldest "Takeaway" shop still operating
Fry brought out drinking chocolate in the 1750,s and made the first chocolate bars before cadbury.

Yes cordial is a sweet fruit syrup that you add water to.
Most people drink the cans of fizzy Vimto rather than the cordial.
I have both but prefer dilute to fizzy, Vimto is currently reducing the number of flavours, sadly the best tasting ones are the ones being dropped :/

We always cheat and just call it Worcester sauce, even us Brits struggle with the full name sometimes but normally go for Worcester Shear sauce.

I much prefer Galaxy to dairy milk. More cocoa and less sugar and milk than diary milk.

The cordial is way to weak, aim for 1/5 to 1/3 (20%-33% to water).
I wasn’t aware of this either ! 🙌🏻
Should try a cheeky vimto👍🏻
I prefer the fizzy cans of Vimto, can’t stand any cordials.. fizzy vimto is made with grape,, blackcurrant,, and raspberry..
