Another great video! I had no idea those Latins were so troublesome, I've always assumed they and the Romans were the same thing... Whoever doesn't watch your videos doesn't know what they're missing!!!
I really like this series. Reminds me a little of dovahatty but not so absurdistly embellished lol. Much deeper of a dive too. The early rise of rome was always my favorite part
I'm so sad this series is almost over you should repost because there's a trend of lady's asking men why they think of Roman empire so much and this is why you can give the ladies there answer
Dudes son literally fought in place of his men, winning the duel, and probably saved countless soldiers lives in the eventual skirmish that almost definitely would have taken place had he not accepted the duel. And gets rewarded with execution ☠️ Despite displaying the courage and personal accountability that nearly every soldier would want in a leader. That pisses me off more than cops who arrest people for victim-less crimes like possession of marijuana. Humans literally haven’t changed, still enforcing unjust rules without discretion simply because they are written in a book somewhere.
It was paramount to maintain order so no friendly fire would happen. And the Romans were great men, they loved their ideas more thsn anything. That's why they are still remembered
As a language and literature teacher I really enjoyed this episode's script - it's nicely cohesive and flows well.

Thank you! Well to be honest, after the Latin War they were basically the same thing as the Romans.. so your assumption is not that wrong.

This is great! I really appreciate the time and effort you put into your videos! You deserve all the subs in the world ❤
Awesome👍
You should try to keep this series going through all Roman history!
That's the plan!
Awesome, Titus Manlius (the elder) is clearly the greatest of chads
He most certainly is!
I mean his name was literally “manliest” so I’m assuming he was more man than any men who came before him 🤷🏽♂️
Can’t wait for the second Samnite war!
You will have to wait a bit ;)
@@MagistraVitae yeah, but it will all be worth the wait…
Also congrats on 500 subs!

Working on it!
lazio's flag hahahahha Was Ciro Immobile part of the council?
Of course he was. However, when Alessandro Nesta left the council, the Latin defense crumbled and they lost the war.
