Wilford and His Beautiful Wife Beverly moved to My small Wyoming town in back in 2008..I think ...He was just a normal guy. He had farm land and animals outside town that he took care of. I would see him in the store where I worked.. Waited on him many times. Loved his wife Beverly she is the sweetest lady.. They did alot for our small town... He helped put together "Hands Across The Saddle" This project helps people who might need help with medical bills, purchasing Electric Wheelchairs, families who've lost homes in fires. Every year they have a dinner and silent auction. There's always entertainment Wilford and his band preformed 2 or 3 times. Thank you Neighbor for Everything you did for our little town....🙏💞💐
That’s amazing. I wish I had a celebrity like Wilford Brimley in my hometown. I’ve heard that he is very humble and doesn’t like large crowds which is why he stays away from places like Los Angeles and New York City.
I didn't know that Wilford Brimley could sing like this!! The world lost an amazingly talented man last year. I will miss you Mr. Brimley, thank you for all of the wonderful entertainment.
I used to watch Wilford Brimley on television as a kid, but I never knew he could sing like this. Thank you to cs188 for introducing me to this side of him.
Thanks for saying it. Context: cs188 is a video remix artist that recently remixed this video and part of that remix was chopping up Mr. Brimley's words to turn them into other things
There's so much to love about this 1989 video, which feels like the fever dream of an 98-year-old retired entertainment booker. First, there's Wilford "Diabeetus" Brimley. Singing. A Muppets song. Did I mention that he's accompanied on piano by Bob Smale, a longtime musician on the Lawrence Welk Show -- a program that seemed hopelessly out of date to kids in 1972? But then Wilford prefaces his crooning by saying "this is for you, kids," suggesting he's under the impression that eight-year-olds across America were gathered around the TV on a Labor Day morning, watching a show full of performers they'd never heard of. Also implicit in the dedication was an assumption that Wilford Brimley's promise of a song was just the thing that would captivate them. I can't get enough of it.
Why didn't the world know just what amazing vocalist he was? I knew him only as a character actor. He was a great interpreter of lyrics and their meaning.
He was an endearing and lovable character and reminded me of a big teddy bear. The first time I saw him in the Liberty Mutual ads I fell in love! When he said, "Diabeetus" it caught everyone's attention and from then on it was perfectly acceptable to pronounce it the way that Mr. Brimley did. RIP Sir, we'll miss you.
What a lovely song, and he's sung it so wonderfully. So full of passion and pizzazz. Mr Brimley strongly resembled my father, to the point where I'd make the reference. This is so sad he's passed.
Imagine the people who are unaware of CS188’s video of this and being confused about all these references, seriously read them with the idea of not having the context. 💀😂
I admit after seeing all those "Beetus" cutups, it's hard to realize that this is really Wilford singing a song. The man had a voice that's for sure. Too bad so many people only know him from the "Beetus" commercials, I only know him from Our House, Cocoon but great actor and great man.
A new meaning of RIP, RETURN IF POSSIBLE. ;) I didn’t know he could sing. What a beautiful voice that I could listen to for hours and hours. Thank you for posting this link so we could all hear is beautiful singing voice. BETTY GORDON, Ames, Iowa

Wilford Brimley (September 27, 1934 - August 1, 2020). Once upon a time in America, you couldn't go to the show without walking out thinking, "Will I ever see another movie without Wilford Brimley in it." He could take any role and bring his own brand of American country soul and gruff humility to it and make you think, no one but Wilford Brimley could bring that role to life. Often enough, it was probably true.
@@jimithingjames Dude Jemima Surrender I'm going to give it you. Dude that is so awesome!!!! The movie is actually called End Of The Line. Incredible, true- LIVE (no editing) performances. Brimley nailed it and his voice is quite an easy listen. Happy to have experienced him in my lifetime.
Now that I'm hearing him sing, I could easily have seen him doing a duet with Seth MacFarlane or Frank Sinatra Jr. The way he sings reminds me of them a lot.
My friends and I just made custom t shirts, two of which were the Wilford Brimley parody character from the Ben Stiller show. Rest in Peace to this legend.
