Where are all the women? (Interviews with Pakistani Girls)

  • "The feeling of freedom should have no gender".
I loved my time in Pakistan and made many positive videos (feel free to check them out). But I did feel the need to make at least one video addressing the inequality in not only Pakistan, but the entire region. And while there is inequality all around the world, the women of Pakistan (and regionally) are facing a lot of unique challenges.
So, what can we do about it?
If you're a parent, make sure your daughters have the same access to opportunities, freedoms, travel, and education as your sons.
If you're a politician, enforce laws and punishments against people who harass or hurt women.
If you're an educator, make sure girls in your community have access to education. Teach their parents that educated girls = more income for the family and a better community.
If you're a man, make sure you respect the women in your life. Make sure you believe them when they say something happened. Make sure you don't allow your male friends to objectify women behind their backs.
If you're just a kid or teenager, do your best at school, and become a leader, politician, or anything with influence. Become a lawyer, and change these laws. Prosecute the people who make this world unsafe.
    Thanks for watching!

Here in Bangladesh i Don't think late night parties are available.. For both boys & girls.. I Don't know i may wrong.. If a boy stays for late night out of home Bangladeshi parents got angry.. Maybe that restriction not apply equally but it also apply for both gender.. ☹️ outing at late night considered bad for both man & woman in this country.. Otherwise we can go to grocery, school, College, office alone.. Actually fact is in festival time like Eid there hardly seen any man in the market..that time only shopkeepers are man.. Situation in Bangladesh Isn't that bad right??... For safety we can't go out late night.. Most of the men also avoid outing late at night for Being afraid of robing.. Otherwise situation Isn't that bad that woman can't go alone.. It's simple here.. ☹️

A Muslim woman is the purest woman in the world. No other religion has or can have such a pure virtuous woman. Pakistani women have been treated like fairies by Islam so that they do not get any heat and do not have to work hard. The people of Pakistan who are Muslims respect their daughters and sisters and mothers and do not leave them helpless like other religions. The woman of Islam is a princess who rules in her house. The only problem with other religions is why Muslim women live with such dignity. And we are grateful to our men for giving us whatever we ask for. As a Muslim, a woman's dignity is great. And as far as freedom is concerned, Our Lord has commanded us that O! muslim women. Stay at home and do not walk around without a viel. Like the women of ignorance used to walk around۔
    I'm a Pakistani

No offense, but everyone ask permission to the parents to go out. In the netherlands we do that too as long as you live with them. In the UK and the US too. And don't tell me it's not true. Telling people not to listen to their parents doesn't make any sense. You want to tell me that you just did everything without asking. I don't believe that. Everyone ask if you can go outside, or play at your friends place, or stay at the school playground a bit longer. Don't act like we in the west don't ask our parents for things.

Another interesting thing is that the 'lucky' women who can live in European countries or in the US, generally in first world countries, like for example in the UK, many of them are still continuing to live the same way as back home in their homelands, maybe they force themselves or they are forced by their husbands and family or both. It would be great that only those women and men could come to Europe etc. who understand this type of lifestyle and want to live this way, who can think out of the box. They should have given the chance to move to another countries and to travel the world to see and experience that they can live differently. People who move to first world countries and want to live the same way as they lived in their homelands probably are going to transform their new home counties into something very similar as their birth countries. I've been living in London, and some parts look like the streets of Pakistan or Bangladesh. And the same is going on in German cities, too.

    Also alyne,
Yes, i agree that there needs to be education for women, people are now getting a hold of this necessity but after getting education for a certain time they leave it to become a houswive (in rural areas this IS a bigger problem as they get no education). I don't like it when even mothers ask for a son rather than a daughter but this doesn't only happen in Pakistan but this problem is worldwide (as far as i can think).

There's a reason why u do good so you know what's not good. You can't blame families for keeping their daughters safe, because everyone knows someone telling you to do good is thinking the best for you in the long term not for the moment. And saying certain things like your parents should do this or that will make people turn against parents so I don't think that's a good thing. We all know if u stay to yourself you will stay good but once u go out more sooner or later u will get led astray because people naturally don't like to see u doing good. Its proof how many people do you see saying if u do good you be good nobody follows the way of Islam so we all should do better in this lost world. Look at people who do go out every single day and night they don't usually do anything that makes a good a future person man or woman. BALANCING THINGS IS KEY 🗝 NOT BECOMING A WILD OUT PERSON AND STARTING TO DO BAD THINGS AND LEARNING BAD HABITS CLUBBING SMOKING DRINKING ETC. WE MUSLIMS DON'T HAVE MANY GOOD PLACES OR GOOD THINGS TO TEACH US AND THE PEOPLE AFTER US SO I DON'T WANT TO SUPPORT THEM, WE WILL GO TO THE CINEMA, RESTAURANT, SHOPPING AND OTHER PLACES WHICH DON'T LEAD US AWAY FROM WHO WE ARE WHY OUR OLDERS DONE GOOD. LOOK AT THE BIGGER PICTURE NOT THE EASIEST OPTION. A Man and woman working together make a good home. I'M NOT WITH ANY SIDES ONLY ALLAH GOOD LUCK INSHAALLAH. YOU DO GOOD AND GET GOOD 🙏🏼

Or have you just visited a tiny village of Pakistan and judging the whole country. P.s poverty is a problem of Pakistan due to which both men and women are facing issues but there’s nothing like the daughters are not allowed to go to school

Yeah, i don’t get why most ppl try to forward their agenda by saying that pakistani women don’t get education. The pakistani females in the video should have at least pointed out that that certain fact is incorrect. Abb app koi gaaon mai jaakay education status of women dhoondo gay tou obviously its gonna be low, that is a problem, but thats not the whole of pakistan. This video is gross representation of pakistan. Yes women need more safety, but please appreciate the fact that were trying instead of bashing our country and comparing it to the western norm.

Hi Alyne,I would like to explain a few things. I always have believed that Pakistan is still around 50 years behind the world when it comes to women. However,The reason u wont find many women on the streets is because usually u would find people on the streets are those who are students ( male) and people leaving home to buying some house items ( males) specially during day time. Female students usually come home on vans or busses. If you go to food streets you will find less women because there are so many men there women feel uncomfortable there. The women in my own family who are not forbidden or are stopped for going anywhere wont go there and they usually send us the men because they dont want to go where so many men are ( so many men are there because they are chilling there with friends and all). You would find more women than men in markets selling cloths because thats what apparently appeals to most pakistani women and thats not what men are known here to be good at. Also u would see alot of women if you visit a university. So in short here in Pakistan some jobs are in a household are for women and some for men. However i agree Pakistan needs to do alot to improve. My country is so progressive in some laws and so regressive in some parts. Like do u know that in 1988 we elected a women prime minister Benazir bhutto who became the first female to lead a muslim country after 770 years. We also have health insurance for Transgenders and they are allowed to identify as third sex. Abortions are legal. Every political party who contests election has to field atleast 10% women candidates otherwise they cant contest elections. There are job quotas for women in all government jobs. There are 60 reserved seats for women in parliament. Pakistans current information ministers,Defense production minister,Enviornment ministers are women. So yes Pakistan has alot to imrpove but we are not that bad. Cheers.Adios

Health insurance for the people with gender dysphoria? Good idea, if it means that these people can have acces to really good therapists who help for them accept what they are, instesd of affirming their confusion.
As you should remember from elementary school, male means somebody has xy sex chromosomes and female means somebody has xx sex chromosomes. They cannot be changed, it's physically impossible.
So no one is "trans". Being a woman/man is not an identity.
And how the hecko could they even be a third gender when they think they are the OPPOSITE gender? Not a NEW one.
