- While I believe awakening ranger is the better 1v1 spec, I think on a case by case bases succession can hold its own; especially as you start getting into the high ap brackets. This being part one of my guide, I wanted to keep it short and simple.

I enjoyed the video! I was thinking about trying out Succ Ranger; I'm currently playing Awk Ranger (On Season server) (I like it a lot but want to see how Succ feels). I'm a new player so Ranger is a bit overwhelming but I'm excited to learn it, I know Succ got nerfed hard a little while ago but it's good to see that it's still really good in the right hands (probably not in mines xD). Any tips or combos I should know/memorize before trying out Succ? or perhaps any links for a good succ build?
Hey ! So the combos aren't very complicated in succ and are generally the same combos you did with just the bow while in awakening. The tips I will say however is to always be aware of your positioning. This is honestly key above all else and allows you to freecast. I am working on a vid for a succ build with the new UI. I'll try to have it out within a week. Until then, the ranger discord has a ton of this stuff in document format.

And My general advice about stats is this - If DR is the cake, evasion is the icing. You need first to have enough DR to then build evasion on top so you can be tanky. This is done by getting evasion gear to pen and upgrading via caphra's. The same applies for ap & accuracy. You need to first go for ap and then after a certain point, start replacing the ap with accuracy accessories if you want to have the most damage output as possible. With evasion being the meta, I recommend having maybe one accuracy accessory as a backup for the times you need to land more attacks.

Planning to rerolling from Valk to Ranger Succession at 285 339 kutum. Is Nouver a must?
I personally think so yes. Nouver for pvp, Kutum for pve.

and how do you use it twice like you did there? i have to throw a attack in between where it looks like you just use the skill twice with no other animations
Its only doable if youre in succession. In awakening you have to use a skill before CftS

@@victoraguilerq299 At least 281 ap. This is for the current meta on NA servers and reflects the average gearscore. Naturally as people become more tanky, this will increase.
Any thoughts in using awakening today in pve??
I honestly should make a vid covering my thoughts on this but in short - I feel awakening is outdated compared to succession in everything except for 1v1's. Pve is easier with around the same results in succ, and you're much more of a threat in group pvp in succession. People just hit too hard in the current meta for the protections you get in awakening to even be viable in up close fights leaving you stuck to play in bow form from a distance. If that's the case, I'd rather be in succession where I get more bow damage.
All this is irrelevant if one lacks the ap to pve down people, with low ap, people will just approach tanking all yo hits with sa and forward guard and kill or grab

Which is why in previous vids and on stream i've mentioned that succ ranger is gated by ap. You need imo at least 281ap in the current meta. I personally don't mind it too much since This is a spec suited for snipers and I think it feels that roll pretty well.

@@alispeed5095 Ranger is average. Both awakening and succ at all ap brackets. If you like the class you'll be fine. But if you're looking for the best of the best in terms of pve, then there's better classes out there.

@@alispeed5095 You're welcome. Itry to be as transparent as possible especially when talking to ppl who are considering re-rolling. I want them go in knowing the pros and cons of the class so if they decide to reroll, their expectations are in line with the reality of the class.
