You have captured the poetics and stories of each scene in each of the image presented here. I applaud you. I salute you. I am privileged to see your work. Arresting. Captivating. Thank you. I’d love to know the focal lengths used. Be well.
I live not far from Bath and intend to shoot there. Your images are certainly inspiring me to do so. You really captured the essence of people in your shots. Excellent collection.
Thanks very much. Bath is a great place to shoot Street. Mainly because of the tourists adding to the mix and easier to be walking around with a camera. Bristol is better for more vibrancy.
Some fabulous shots here, beautifully seen. I am normally in Bath every couple of weeks but have been shielding since March, so thank you for the ‘fix’. I concur with your reference to Aix also, probably my favourite city anywhere.
Thanks very much Bruce. I’ve been in a few times to get my fix, but in a very careful way. Currently I don’t think the risk is anywhere close to the reward and so I’m keeping away. You’re not missing that much, impossible to get close (obviously) and then we’re left with essentially people just walking along...wearing masks. No tourists either. Yes, my friend Jeff was living for many years in Aix and documented that time with some extraordinary street photographs. He’s very talented. Now lives on Reunion Island, a big change for him, but perhaps a good place to be when there’s a pandemic.
Thanks very much Malik. I’m delighted to hear that you’re planning to get out and document your own city, I’m positive that you’ll enjoy every second of the process.
Hi John. I live just outside the centre of Bath and am a Leica photographer (very much amateur!) and it was good to see your different perspective on the very familiar (of course) places I know. I’m looking forward to some semblance of “normality” returning so that I can shoot some “street” again without taking unnecessary risks. Lovely shots!
Hi Martin. Thanks very much. Great to hear from you. I’m hoping for a little normality by Easter. Apart from the endless problems we’ve seen and I know it’s been awful for everyone, I’m really missing shooting some Street.
Beautiful work John. I 've only been once in Bath and it feels like home to me. Touristic place, roman architecture... Reminds me of somewhere I know too well... Even if the covid has turned it into a ghost town, better days will come. Keep on documenting bath!
One more thing… the work of Ho Fan arrests me… so too your work. Thank you again
Wow, that’s extremely kind and generous.

I’m delighted to hear that. Thanks so much for taking the time to look. Keep safe and well.
35mm or 28mm.
Wow. You have captured some great moments.
Thank you Steve. I must post some newer ones.

Really enjoyed this. Your visual story telling and compositions are great. Many decisive moments. Well done. You deserve a large following!
Thanks Rolf, that’s really very kind of you. Mostly I’m most getting indecisive moments…sometimes I get a decisive one!
WOW !...absolutely stunning.
Thanks very much, hugely appreciated.

Hey John, no need to apologize, these sets of photos are really good!
You've inspired me to do the same for my city.
Keep them coming!

Just discovered your channel mate, very very good. Subbed.
Thanks Derren, hugely appreciated.
Great pictures !
Merci Thibault!

Cheers Jef. Well it’s twinned with Aix and we can both see why. I’ll be back there as soon as I’m allowed to...soon I hope.
The shooting was carried out in the style of fishing. honestly, I saw the author's works and they are very good, but this series is not about anything
