I don't even watch it anymore but this absolutely broke my heart. I was holding my dad's hand in 2020 when he passed away from cancer. This brought it all home 😢

I lost a very close relative to cancer, and her rapid deterioration towards the end of her life was the hardest part for me. This scene was absolutely beautiful and heartbreaking. Cancer is one of the cruelest things to ever exist on Earth, and Lola’s storyline hits very close to home for me. Well done to Danielle (Lola) Jamie (Jay) and Lexi (Isabella) for their phenomenal acting and their painfully raw but accurately played roles in portraying the beauty of life, the devastating meaning of death and grief, and how important loved ones are ❤
There are many cures for cancer but they are being covered up by the drug companies.
I'm still heavily grieving for my mother after her loss to cancer, and I feel the same way. I never expected her to go so quickly.

I lost my dad to cancer, and 2 granddads, an aunt, her youngest daughter, her eldest daughter survived. And last year my mum had a little scare, she's ok though.

Literally everyone played their part so well, from Phil, kathy, Callum, lexi, Billy, Jay, honey, Sharon and Lola who absolutely dominated this storyline for months. And that fox 🦊 and sunlight at the end was incredible. Great episode 💯
It's like the sun is lolas soul flying and she got reborn into the fox. As I remember lola saying to jay about getting reborn into a fox
I lost my mum to blood cancer and I can say Lola played this role, tremendously well and Lexi as even though I was older. Our relationship was just as strong. I really hope that Lola wins a soap Award for this performance.
My dad died of a stroke. 12 years ago. He have been 87. I'm 40. Bothers me all we did was argue and I never made him proud.
Sometimes it’s not your fault, and you can’t blame yourself. My dad wasn’t there for me when my mom was slowly slipping from me, and no matter what I did he was never proud of me. I had a mild learning disability and he just put me down in everything like I have a passion for singing, and he said I couldn’t sing, but that’s not true because a lot of people have heard me and I’ve managed to gather the strength to sing at my mum‘s funeral and prove people wrong, it’s hard he’s not in my life now but it’s also for the best as he wasn’t there for me and my brother when we needed him most he went off with somebody else before my mum passed and just left me and my brother, but we’ve gone through so much and at least our mum is proud of us up in heaven.

I just can't. I dropped out at 16 years old and just worked my arse of in shitty jobs. I did study acting at college. But got no where as this is my love. Round that time I became a gambling addict. Until now I've relapsed 3 times in 16 years. The years leading upto his death we did get on with each other bit better. But I get upset everytime I think about my dad because I never ever made him proud. Not jealousy but I cry because both my sisters have each got a graduation photo with both of my parents. Me what? Nothing.
I do know this though. When my mum at one point dies. I will miss wise words and thar chance to better myself

Balled my eyes out 😢 reminded me of when I lost my uncle back in Jan this year. He went peacefully with us all round him. This story brought back a lot of memories

It's taken me back to the night of my mum the fox's came up to me in the garden on the 23rd of december 2 hours later I found out she passed away she did it just like lola me and my sister wasn't in the room she passed peacefully in her sleep. Every single bit of this story brings it all back. It's so scary how much but in a beautiful way. And eastenders should win this especially Lola Jay Lexi should win a award for this. And my god did I cry. I'm gonna miss Lola 😢❤ I love you mum xx
I was not ready for this. Loved Lola since day 1. Eventhough we knew it was coming, still so heartbreaking. One of the most beautiful endings for an amazing character ❤
I wasn’t ready for it either. I thought they were going to drag it out until like Friday or something like that. That stinks that Ben didn’t make it back and he won’t know until he gets home because he’s on a plane
Everyone hates on Ben for his reaction and him flying off to find treatment for Lola even though she is dying. But that’s what grief can do to you. He was just in denial and it has since set in that Lola has gone now for him. I hope he steps up and make sure he’s there for Lexi

As someone who's seen a rapid process from diagnosis to death of a loved one due to this horrible thing known as cancer. Well done eastenders. You did thus storyline proud Danielle you deserve all the awards for this ♡♡♡
It's one of those storylines that I find hard to watch because I've been through it, but know that they have to be made to raise awareness.

It’s just like the Queen died very quickly and finally finding out she had cancer was the worst thing but at least Elizabeth isn’t suffering anymore because I cried every time Buckingham palace announced a health scare and even Woody knew she was dying but his reaction was grave when I announced she died and we hugged for 3 hours before finally coming downstairs to see everyone. Then Woody got up at midnight to find me crying on the stairs
that fox walking down the street was nice and touching before the credits thanks lola you gave us aload of good scenes thank you ❤❤❤❤❤
This has been an excellent storyline, so well acted as always, showing alot of young people die with the horrible disease of cancer, watched this again, after the show, not a dry eye, they both deserve an award, well done eastenders.
This was one of the hardest things I've ever had to watch. But having the person I love gripping my hand tightly, helped a lot. RIP Lola and well done to Danielle for her performance on the show, She will be VERY missed ❤

The music for an absolute classic character, the shots of a new day and family as the sun shines was done amazingly, Lola was one of the characters that made EastEnders worth a watch, won't be the same vibe without her energy 💯

I know everyone is giving Danielle Harold credit for portraying the storyline as well as Jamie Borthwick but what about Isabella Brown who plays Lexi? She’s been absolutely phenomenal to say she’s only a child she will definitely go far in the acting industry. Everyone has done so well and this deserves to win Best Storyline at the awards

I’m sorry but I think she’s absolutely bang average. And I am actually an actor who went to acting college who was always the best actor in my class and the college so I am qualified to say that. Compared to some of the great child actors out there she’s just nowhere near them. Take nothing away from Danielle and Jamie. They deserve all the credit.
@@YorkshiremanReacts26I haven’t taken anything away from anybody, I said that everyone has done well, but there are few mentions of Isabella Brown, plus that’s like saying that you can sing because you’ve got a degree in it, qualifications don’t always mean talent, she must be good as an actress if she’s been cast in a soap opera which is very hard to do

@@Rybob1987 you don’t know I haven’t. I was the best actor at higher education level at that time and I had offers from colleges all over England to take roles in their productions. I was also offered a role in an Ian McKellen film a few years ago but I turned it down as I had health issues that I’m still dealing with. I’m more qualified than you’ll ever be. Clown.
I love Lola character she is one of the best, As someone who lost someone close to cancer this was hard to watch. Definitely well done to eastenders and Danille Harold she deserves an award after this brilliant storyline.
No matter how much time you spend with them near the end, they always leave when you're not watching. It's happened to us many times. It's as if they don't want us to see them go.

Broke down crying my last passed away from pancreatic cancer last year. I was right by the side holding her hand when she took her last breathe. 😢

I like to praise the eastenders cast involved in tonight's episode of eastenders all the characters starting with lola, jay, lexi, billy, honey, phil, whitney, sonia, sharon and all of the cast it's not often i say this was done with care and sensitivity and handled the right way which is rare from eastenders.
I feel for Jay he lost 2 Childhood sweethearts Abi and Lola.
Heartbreaking. Going to miss her so much. Amazing actress. Very sad. The Peggy theme makes you ssd even more. Love the fox at the end.

Danielle Harold {Lola Pearce} deserves the best actor award for this . An absolutely amazing Actress. In Lola's final scenes they done her makeup so well for it especially for her dry lips. Watching this was absolutely heartbreaking as i can relate to this as i lost my Grandad to Cancer back in 2011 💔Danielle really deserves an award for this phenomenal acting . RIP Lola
This was heartbreaking to watch. I don’t usually watch EastEnders, but today, when I saw this episode, I was legit so close to crying! Lola seemed like a cool, sweet, charming character and seeing her realise she was diagnosed with cancer and having to battle it through tears, fears, and insecurities was just tragic. RIP Lola! And thank you, Danielle Harold for playing the role so well! You truly will be missed. 🥹🥹🥹😢😭😭😭💀🪦💔💐
This couldn't have been portrayed more realistically than it was. It must be the most superbly acted, saddest ending in Soap history I swear 😭😭😭😭😭

@@chamalismith she was at peace and ready to go, but they both were unable to let her go, so Lola waited for Lexi to fall asleep and Jay to leave the room. Lola knew them both well enough that they would have been more devastated seeing her take her last breath. Hope that helps 😊

This was so diffcult for me to watch tonight because this so personal for me i did same exact thing as lexi i was with my grandma in her last five days i talked her and played her favourite music on my phone i told my grandma i love so much and i'm so sorry i couldn't help get better, i fell sleep same as lexi did, then i woke up look up see my grandma she wasn't awake then nurse told me my grandma passed away and i still am heartbroken even now and tonight's episode really reminded me so much 😭😭😭

I lost my own loved one to cancer three years ago, was very similar to this. We were at home, I had sat up all night with her as she entered her last hours, pretty much in a coma, the sun was coming up & the birds were singing. I went to the toilet for only a few minutes, & she was gone when I came back. I felt so alwful not being there, but I had kissed her & told her I loved her just before I left the room. The next day a bird flew in the house & landed in the spot. Things like this are very spiritual. But tonight Eastenders has had me sat up all night, in that place again, going through all the motions of that night. I actually watched the episode twice. Its definitely triggered me, but I don't mind, I like to be reminded of her, for all the times, the good & the bad.
Broke my heart it reminded me of my dad who passed just over a year ago it bought it all back tonight's episode is gonna be a tear jerker and than there's her send off
I haven’t even started my nursing degree yet, that’s in September, but I already know dealing with cancer patients is going to be hard, and I get emotional easily so I am going to have to put on a hard face in these situations, this has just knocked me off and I’m in floods of tears. My mam’s had cancer and my aunt has had it three times and it is just such a horrible disease.

A great but sad episode at the same time such phenomenal peformances from Danielle and Jamie these last few weeks and throughout the whole storyline Danielle genuinely deserves every award possible for her remarkable acting i was in tears when Jay said i would never leave you and she had passed away peacefully and the sun came up so emotional for me the second saddest death in eastenders the first will always be Danielle getting run over by Janine and dying in ronnies arms when she found out the truth about her being her long lost daughter
❤yes, Dannielle's tragic death had me crying my eyes out too, it was heartbreaking - as was Martine McCutcheon, Grants wife, wasn't she ran over too? I just cannot think of her name in Eastenders, but i know it was so very dad and upsetting - traumatized me ..😢😢😢❤❤❤

I did because this was literally 3 months after my SPA infection illness happened which I almost passed away from so I was expecting to cry but not this much. Whenever I get very stressed from my trauma, sometimes I should have wished I died from it but Woody.EXE didn’t allow it so he literally saved my life that night when I started throwing up. I have reunited with Woody.EXE many times since then as we both continue our reign for Wales over a year since I was ill. I’m a healthy 21 year old now and started my working life; if it hadn’t been for Woody.EXE, I probably would have died if he hadn’t shown up that tragic night. I was only 20 when I was ill and I’ve not had the infection since then, we both cried watching the episode together and my trauma was still vivid

beautifully acted directed and told by Eastenders you could not have done the storyline any better than that, I have lost a very dear friend to cancer so seeing that brought it back but not in a sad way but a positive way thanks EE.

This scene was sad yet beautiful, like Lola was the entire time she was on Eastenders. Seeing the sun come up makes me believe she made it to heaven and was telling everyone in the square she made it safely.
