Spot on about Bruno being able to bridge cultures and appeal to people of all backgrounds. He's one of those "total entertainers" of years past. Decades ago, it used to be quite common for entertainers to do it all....sing, dance, play an instrument, act...you name it. Unfortunately, that's all too rare these days, but Bruno is one of those. He's a breath of fresh air, and he strikes me as a really classy dude overall. Mad props!
Totally agreed, from one of your metal fans: Bruno Mars is the shit. Definitely something for everyone in his music. And as you say, not necessarily the most groundbreaking artist out there, but all the same it takes a special kind of talent to appeal to so many people. He's always authentic, always a great vocalist, and one gets the sense that he really loves what he does - not just in it for the money.
In Living Color was my shit! I'm an old school metal head and I'll be the first to admit Bruno is poised to be the next King of Pop. Talent is talent, and dude is crazy talented. Great song, great reaction. Keep doing what you do!
What I love about Bruno Mars is that he also infuses that amazing old school funk sound which is sorta a lost art alongside traditional R&B because you don't get music like Earth,Wind, and Fire or Lakeside or even S.O.S band anymore. However you can see it with Brunos recent records and you get that funk vibe like you next on Soul Train lmfaooooo and his songs are memorable and even if it does have that old school element he flipped it into a more modern setting and that is hella dope. I thought he killed this and Cardi B also did great on the track with how they collaborated and portrayed the 90's vibe. Great song and Great reaction from you guys and getting to those Top Trending songs on time lmao.
I agree with George's sentiment about Bruno taking inspiration from an earlier time. I love it because it reminds me of growing up with this sound and he's introducing this sound to a newer generation/demographic who missed it the first time around.
Ok!!!! Bruno Mars is so cool for bringing. A “James Brown” / “Michael Jackson” vibe to EVERYTHING. It’s sooo legendary. No one else has been able to bring that sound back in THIS day and AGE!!!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Actually bruno never really considers what people want. Maybe he considers it a tiny bit but he said in an interview that you’ll never really know what people would like and he just goes by what he thinks feels right. So in short, he really just goes by his gut and what he wants to do and thats what makes his music so genuine because he actually enjoys it.
I am 23 years old! And I know about IN LIVING COLOR!! And like you said if you didn’t know RIGHT off what the inspiration to the video was !! It was funny how people didn’t know what the inspiration behind the video was! But I love Bruno and who he is! This might be my FAVORITE video from him! I love him
I feel so old that all the young people don't know about living color haha. I was like oh snap! Knew it right away. This song is a good start off to the new year i think. And I just love cardi b, just seeing her makes me smile in general lol.
Bruno is Michael Jackson, Prince,James Brown, Sly and The Family Stone, Kool & The Gang with a Earth Wind & Fire type of Band in one package. He can do it all. And this is coming from one of the Old school Metal Guys subscribed to this channel.
Damn 2 videos released in 4 hours, you guys keep busy. You guys are absolutely right about Bruno bridging gaps in music. I'll admit I used hate him I was all about metal...Homie didn't play that game but now I rock the fuck outta Bruno Mars. It's almost a guarantee to hear him at least once when I'm partying now. Dude is so 🔥🔥🔥 he needs Bill to follow him. Last line is for In Living Color fans
In Living color came on before Married With Children on Sun night, In addition to the Wayans bros, Jim Carrey,David Alan Grier,Jaime Foxx, and Tommy Davidson also started careers on the show, and J Lo was one of the fly girls. One of the best shows in history, besides Married With Children.Good times back then.
I love videos like this because I love to see people who appreciate good music give Bruno the respect he deserves. My only complaint is that you say you "want something different" from him, yet you admit to not having listened to the album in its entirety. Listen to all 3 of his albums (Doo-Wops and Hooligans, Unorthodox Jukebox, and 24K Magic), and then get back to me. I think you'll see more versatility than you realize.
lol... So this is what's going on... I thought I was the only one! I'm also a metalhead/bassist and I love Bruno! It's probably because of these amazing funk bass riffs. I can't stretch enough how confused people look at me when I say I listen to Bruno Mars. Or when he comes up in my playlist after In Flames or Blind Guardian...
This is how I know y'all make an impact, as soon as I got finished watching the Bruno and cardi b vid this morning, all I could think about is what y'all were gonna think about it lol #Freethinkers
I've been missing my hot chocolate for a couple days and when y'all finally show up I'm at work!!😭... Guess I'm taking a early break lol. I love this remix and video, reminds me how old I really am. Great reaction guys
I love this so much. Can't get enough of Bruno (or the 90's vibes)! What a time! Can't wait to see your reaction...Yep just what I thought guys. And you're so right. My almost 60 year old step-dad is one of Bruno's biggest fans.
Spot on at the end. I'm not a pop or hip hop fan per se but Bruno is supremely talented. Not groundbreaking as you said, but knows how to appeal to the masses.
Bruno makes more than commercial music. He actually has so much depth. You have to listen to the full album and even previous ones. He's low key a rising goat 🐐
Amazing unbiased content. My favorite video of yalls was the reaction to YYZ by Rush. I think yall should do a rush song with lyrics, there most recognizable songs are Tom Sawyer, Limelight (fantastic lyrics yall would love) and Spirit of Radio
You're right, Bruno Mars doesn't break ground, but he does build bridges. So does this get two snaps up? Z formation? I guess we don't need Fire Marshall Bill though.
Yessss. I will definitely watch when you guys react to the 24k album- its soooo good! I was born in 86 and this is everything. I grew up on bobby Brown/new edition *sigh*
I thought I would hate it only because cardi B is in there... I was proven wrong. Brian's point to the nostalgic Factor is bringing it home. Great Job reacting!!!
OMGoodness I just saw this yesterday. But I’m so happy you guys did a reaction to it. You’re right it is from 24K Magic. But this video was great I loved it. And it was nice to be a little nostalgic. Awesome video as also.🔥🔥
I love the Wayne brothers all of em I'm only 21 but i love the 90s and 70s music and style grew up watching re runs of this show aa well as Martin, good times, the Waynes bros., The Jamie fox show, the Jeffersons, Sanford n son, and etc. You guys give great unbiased reviews.
Living Color was dope!!! Watched it faithfully. Dig Bruno. He gets hip hop. Old school hip hop I grew up on and loving metal. Best of both worlds. Love you guys, free thinkers unite, lol.
thanks for letting me know why I love Bruno Mars, I have always been a dancer so I just saw it as good dance music, nice to hear the breakdown and yes pure genius using Living Color. I loved that show
Y'all are my favorite -- particularly because you actually understand technical shit like multi-syllabic rhyme patterns and delivery and flow and wordplay. One love from Arkansas. Also, please react to Bones - Corduroy. You will not regret it -- a complete different style of rap than y'all have covered before.
I'm a metal head and I'm a Bruno fan since he came out. My parents are in there 70's and have bought his CD's. He's a fun artist that makes you wanna dance.
Bruno is awesome!!! Always loved his old/new school vibe he’s been rocking with relatively recently 🔥🔥🔥 great reaction guys. You hit the nail on the head
What is “ground breaking” music these days? He’s a throwback in my opinion. He does M Jackson, he does J Brown and he does 90s R&B. Dude was either born in the wrong era, or was born to bring that music back Also, he plays and produces his own shit. If that isn’t groundbreaking or unique in today’s world, I don’t know what it.
We are not talking about his talent. We are talking about his CREATIVITY. In rap: Kanye West In Metal: Gojira In R&B: SZA . These are all artists that I feel have at least moved the needle creatively (to answer your initial question). Bruno is great, he's just not on the high end of the spectrum creatively with how he composes his music. It doesn't change the fact that he's made great commercial music.
beardown2489 Yes Bruno brings back us kids who we're born in the early 80s and growing up in the 90s Cosby Show, A Different World, In Living Color, Living Single etc. All our parent's were in there 20s during the 90s
Hey fellas. Much respect to y'all for being so real authentic. I love seeing the growth the that y'all are experiencing with your Channel. I want to request a reaction or review of one of my favorite lyrical poetic hip hop songs ever in my opinion. "Jedi mind tricks- I who have nothing." I know you out of every single reaction Channel would appreciate the depth & lyrical potency of that track. One love shout out from LA.
Love the content and how your one of the only channels where almost all the comment threads are positive not some trollin ass bullshit! Keep up the good work fellas
Bruno got grandfathered into the train because his older peeps played all those old school joints in Hawaii where he grew up. So, he feels the old R&B and Hip Hop as if it was his generation. Props to B for that.
Hey what's going on Ryan and George, man I've been rockin with you guys since you were at 50K subs and I remember in one of your earlier videos you posted you shouted out to all the people that stay watching your videos but don't really comment or say anything, but just enjoy the reactions and the content you guys are providing, and I'm one of those people. I just wanted to say you guys are by far some of the best reactors I've seen on youtube. I was watching you guys for awhile but when I saw the reaction on Russell Westbrook on a farm by Lil D; that review was the truest review of that song of all the reactors I watched so I knew you guys were the best ones to go to for any insight and lyrical breakdowns on songs. With all that being said I really think you guys should peep YBN Nahmir, he's blowing up around the reactor community and World Star just put out a bunch of his videos all at once, the dude is blowing up. Please do me a solid and react to these 3 songs or at least one of them lol rubbin off the paint Letter to valley No Hook
My ears perked up when Ryan said “Indian Music”, wonder if you guys could listen to some Coke Studio Pakistan Season 9, just for some cultural diversity. Been a fan of ya’ll for quite some time and was hoping you guys would get some recognition from South Asia cuz you guys keep it real. Don’t forget to hit that CC cuz I know George loves lyrics hahaha
I'm so happy Bruno Mars just decided to remake old genres. He's sounded great as The Police circa 1977, Kool and the Gang circa 1980, as Morris Day and the Time. Thank y'all for jumping on this so swiftly, you guys always do a bangin' job.
Hahaha love it remake kinda to living color damn I miss that funny ass show! Best comedy ever, if you weren’t old enough in 90s then you probably have no idea lol but you are missing out !! I love Bruno mars he is so talented his voice is amazing & he kills it on both ends R&B & hip hop he brings you old school into the new I’m rocking with him gotta add this song to my play list

Bruno gives me hope towards today's music artists.
That backwards running man is so freakib smooth e

Man, this song is smooth. The 90s kid in me loves everything about this video.

Cardi B got that 90s New York voice that fits this kind of song.I also believe this more her personality than Bodak Yellow is.
Bruno is Michael Jackson, Prince,James Brown, Sly and The Family Stone, Kool & The Gang with a Earth Wind & Fire type of Band in one package. He can do it all. And this is coming from one of the Old school Metal Guys subscribed to this channel.

I'm a metalhead but I dig Bruno Mars. How could you not?
Xenophon same. Especially since I’m a bassist and he has some great bass lines in his music.
So true. Came for tool but i will always click on bruno.
lol... So this is what's going on... I thought I was the only one! I'm also a metalhead/bassist and I love Bruno! It's probably because of these amazing funk bass riffs. +Lost In Vegas Hey fellas. One love shout out from LA.
i’m glad you guys reacting to this! i was hoping you would! great reaction! 😍❤️
