      Avenga76 Can i ask u...
      Are those real gauges and how do u make them work with pc?
      is there any adapter to conect them to pc and a program on pc to recognize them or something??
      If its not asking too much....sry

    • @Avenga76
      @Avenga76  9 років тому

      Fabricio Teidy Yes, they are real gauges. They are standard aftermarket gauges that I brought from my local car parts store.
      They are controlled by a Symprojects Pro-gauge and Rev-burner.

      Avenga76 Nice setup!! Did you need to mess with capacitors and the signal conditioners to make your gauges work with the pro gauge board? I'd like to do something like you've got gauge wise but don't want have to deal with soldering a lot of stuff.

    • @Avenga76
      @Avenga76  9 років тому +1

      synaptik111 No, they just worked straight away.
      You don't need to do any soldering. The pro gauge just has some screw down terminal blocks, you just pop the wires in those then away you go.
      Just have to make sure you get the right sort of gauges. Most tachos and speedos are fine because they both work off pulses but the pressures and temperatures can be a bit harder. You need to make sure that the sender for the gauge is either 1 or 2 wires. The 3 wire senders won't work because they require a 5V reference feed to them. Also make sure the at a low enough resistance. I think anything below 500 Ohms is fine. I think mine are all about 0-250 Ohms.
      I am not sure what the limit in Ohms is but that is when you start needed the signal adapter (I am pretty sure it just drops the Ohms, never had to use one)

    How did you setup the H-Shifter? This has only 6 gears +N +R. What about over 6. Gear? trackIR is cool. what is your setup for this? I had to change the Euro Truck Simulator Profile a bit, but i don't feel it perfect, yet :) .

    • @Avenga76
      @Avenga76  10 років тому

      I have my gearbox setup as a Splitter tansmission. You can set it up in the controls section of the game.
      It used a button which toggles between odd-numbered gears (1,3,5,7,9,11) and even-numbered (2,4,6,8,10,12) gears.
      You can also use range mode which uses a button to toggle between gear set 1-6 and gear set 7-12
      I have now switched over to a Fanatec Clubsport Shifter SQ which is 7 gears +N +R but Euro Truck only supports 6 gears.

      Chrysx The new Fanatec Clubsport Shifter is really good. I would highly recommend it, it plugs in to the back of the CSW and it is outstanding quality. It is a all metal design and it is built like a tank. The adjustable tension on the gearbox is great, lets you tweak it to just how you like it.

      If you just want a rev counter then you will need the gauge plus a Rev-burner.
      You will need to wire up the gauge to the Rev-burner but it isn't hard.
      Sim Racing Hardware makes a completed products that include the gauge and the Rev-Burner with all the wiring already done of your aren't in to electronics. So it is just plug and play.

      Hi Nick. I live in New Zealand also. There isn't a NZ supplier for the Pro-gauges so I just ordered them directly from the site.
      Shipping wasn't too bad. The Pro-gauge is about $95 NZD and the shipping was about $20.
      I am not aware of any other controllers that would do the same. Symprojects has good support for Euro Truck.

    So is there any manual on the web to make such thing?! Is it possible to use an ordinary instrument panel or do I need fancy pricy glowshift gauges haha?!

    • @Avenga76
      @Avenga76  10 років тому

      Yes, you can use a ordinary instrument cluster as long as the speedometer works off pulses from the ECU. Also the other gauges like temperature need to work off the impedance range that the controller boards support.
      The controllers are made by SymProjects and they have some info on their website www.symprojects.com/shop/pro-gauge/
      They also have a forum which has quite a few projects which use standard dashboards. I post on that forum regularly. So have a browse through there and checkout so other projects. www.symprojects.com/forum/
      My rig was built mostly for racing sims which is why I have all the shift lights and bright gauges so I can see them easily while racing.

    Hi Friend, This is Very Beautiful
    This gauges works with Eurotruck Multiplayer ? Rev Buner or Pro-Gauges works with any car Gauges ?
    Thanks

    • @Avenga76
      @Avenga76  10 років тому +1

      Hi. With the multiplayer, the creators of the multiplayer disabled the Advanced SDK so none of my gauges, dashboard or motion will work.
      The Rev-burner and Pro-gauge will work with most car gauges. With the speedo, check that it runs off the ECU and isn't an old mechanical cable operated speedo. Some modern pressure gauges use a different method so check what the pressure sender looks like. If the pressure sender only has one or two wires then it should be fine. If it has three wires then it probably won't work.

    Amazing setup! Just wondering, how do you move your camera angle without a mouse?

    • @Avenga76
      @Avenga76  10 років тому

      I am using a TrackIR head tracking system. It has an infrared camera that sits on top of my monitor and I wear a hat that has reflectors on it so the camera can track my head movement and translate the back in to the game.
      On triple monitors it feels really natural because the camera in the game moves exactly with my head movements so if I want to look left then I just turn my head to the left just like I would in real life. It adds heaps to the immersion factor.

    • @Avenga76
      @Avenga76  10 років тому

      I wouldn't really call it a kit, the only thing I ordered online was the 2 PCB's. As I said in the description and other comments, I am using a Symprojects Pro-gauge and a Rev Burner PCB controller board, my gauges are from my local autoshop. There is a a lot of soldering and wiring involved as well as a lot of welding involved in making the brackets. I never claimed to have invented this or anything and I have clearly listed all the hardware and controllers I have used. I just want to show people what you are capable of doing in Euro Truck with the hardware available.

    • @Avenga76
      @Avenga76  10 років тому +1

      Thanks. The cost depends on your budget. You could build a cluster pretty cheaply. All you need is some gauges and the controller boards from www.symprojects.com/shop/category/pro-gauge
      The Pro-Gauge which will run Speedometer, RPM and 5 gauges is only £50. I also use a Rev Burner which is only £30. You then need a set of gauges. Most gauges for cars should work (except for ones with a 3 wire senders). My gauges were quite expensive but you could get some cheap gauges or even use a second hand cluster out of a car or a truck.
      It does take a fair bit of electronics skill because you have to wire up all the gauges to the controller and I have a switch to turn all the gauges on and off. So it might not be for everyone but it is a fun DIY project
      The other option which might be cheaper and easier is use something like my Siminstruments dash I featured in one of my other video. That is just straight plug and play.

    • @Avenga76
      @Avenga76  10 років тому

      Best bang for your buck is a Logitech G27
      But it depends on your budget. I used to use a Logitech G27 and that is a great entry level wheel. If you want quality then you can't go past the Fanatec Club Sport wheel I use now.
      I plugged in my old G27 the other day to play Colin McRae Rally 2 and the difference is night and day. The G27 is gear driven so it feels really notchy and the Fanatec is belt driven so it is super smooth.
      But the Fanatec is over 4 times as much as the G27 if you get both the the BMW and Formula rims. They also don't come with pedals or a shifter so by the time you add those it would be about 6 times more expensive than the G27.

      I am using a Symprojects Pro-Gauge and Rev Burner to run the gauges. You can order them here www.symprojects.com/shop/category/pro-gauge
      You can run pretty much any car or truck gauge or dashboard with the Symprojects boards. I am using AutoGauge brand gauges with custom made mounts, they sell similar gauges on the Symprojects site but you need to mount them yourself.
      Simracing Hardware sell fully made up complete gauge clusters including the controller and pre-wired. simracinghardware.com/product/tach-dash/
      There is a fair bit of wiring and electronics involved if you plan on building your own cluster so it isn't for the faint of heart.

    • @Avenga76
      @Avenga76  10 років тому

      The single GTX 680 runs great on triple monitors. I get over 60fps on pretty much any game. On old games like rFactor I get a few hundred fps. I am thinking of upgrading to a single GTX 780 Ti at some point but my 680 is coping fine. I also run a 4th monitor off my GTX 680.

    • @classthis
      @classthis 10 років тому

      Damn, well perhaps I play more demanding such as bf4 on a 144hz monitor. It may have made me abit greedy ;)
      But its good to know that a 680 runs good on a triple screen setup. Is it a 4gb or 2gb version?

    • @classthis
      @classthis 10 років тому

      And I'd say you should go for a r9 290 crossfire setup, more bang for buck compared to a 780ti if you have a strong psu. May complicate in some games but it usually don't.

    • @Avenga76
      @Avenga76  10 років тому

      Ser Jaime Lannister I only have 60hz monitors so 60fps is fine for me. I wouldn't be able to get 144fps in bf4.
      It is only the 2gb version, I would rather stick with Nvidia. I like Nvidia Surround better than Eyefinity.

      You can buy adapters for them like this conceptzperformance.com/ati-conversion-adapter-rings-60mm-to-52mm-5260-conv_p_7695.php but I figured it was easier and cheaper to just make my own.

      +Avenga76 Thank you your reply.I am more one question.Try to use symprojects progauge.Speed, rpm, fual level of me succeeded.However, do not know fuel pressure, oil pressure, oil temp, water temp's connection way.Maybe, can I inform me?

      @Avenga76  8 років тому

      +조재혁 What game are your using to test it? Not all games support pressure and temperature.
      Here is a list of what gauges are working in each game. www.symprojects.com/go/simdata
      If you go in to each of the gauges you need to set the correct value for 0-25-50-75-100% on each gauge. As long as you have that right and the game supports those gauges then it should work.

      +Avenga76 I know , I knowI do not know method that connect fuel pressure, oil pressure, oil temp, water temp to progauge

    • @Avenga76
      @Avenga76  8 років тому

      +조재혁 Do they use a 2 wire sender? the 3 wire ones won't work.
      The 2 wire gauges have a signal and a ground wire, connect all the grounds up to the ground connector on the Pro-gauge then the signal wire up to one of the ports S1-6
      The 2 wire gauges work of Ohms and they will return a value of say 40-160 Ohms.
      The 3 wire ones work totally different and they require a +5V reference feed then return a value between 0-5V. The Progauge can't provide this +5V feed and it measures resistance not Volts so 3 wire gauges won't work.

    And, I'm assuming every single gauge will synchronize with the game?

    • @Avenga76
      @Avenga76  10 років тому +1

      In Euro Truck Simulator 2 every gauge except the fuel pressure gauge is synchronized with the game. It uses a plugin to read the new telemetry data from the game and a Symprojects controller card to run the gauges. Other games support all of the gauges but ETS2 doesn't output fuel pressure data.

      @Natesmodelrailroad 10 років тому

      Avenga76 Yeah, I did the stupid thing and went researching after I posted that. Even found some of your forum posts when you were building this assembly.
      The one bad thing I did find, though, at least to me, is that the game doesn't allow for output of indicators, such as turn signals and high beams. I was really hoping to get a gauge cluster from a vehicle and use it, but it seems that I won't be able to make all the indicators work.
      Oh well.

    • @Avenga76
      @Avenga76  10 років тому

      ***** Euro Truck does allow the output of indicators etc. I have them running in one of my other video. Siminstrument Dash with Fanaleds in Euro Truck Simulator 2 I have all my indicators, turn signals, high beams and park warning lights running on Siminstruments dash using FanaLEDs. this supports turn signals and all the other warning lights. You could rewire one of these dashs to run your warning lights.
      Unfortunately the software which runs the Symprojects board doesn't support warning lights for Euro Truck, the game does output the warning light data so they should be able to add that support. Maybe if you ask on the forum then they could add the warning light support that way you could use a Symprojects DLC-247 to run the warning lights www.symprojects.com/shop/dlc-247/ it supports up to 192 LED lights so just replace the standard warning lights in your truck dash with LEDs and get the DLC-247 to control them.

    • @Natesmodelrailroad
      @Natesmodelrailroad 10 років тому

      Avenga76 So, basically...it does do it, just not with that software, got it.
      I take it you can't get something like that DLC-247 from Siminstruments, though, huh?

    • @Avenga76
      @Avenga76  10 років тому

      ***** Unfortunately Siminstruments only make the pre-made dash. You could email Brendan from Siminstruments and see if he could sell you just the board, then you could solder on your own LEDs. I would say your best bet would be to jump on the Symprojects forum and ask Cristiano to add those features to the software. it shouldn't be too had since Fanaleds can read the data. The DLC-247 would be perfect because it has headers so you can just plug in the LEDs.

    Hello. You used the Revburner with which gauge?

    • @Avenga76
      @Avenga76  10 років тому

      Hi.
      The Revburner is running the small tachometer on the left hand side cluster (The first cluster you see in the video) The Pro-Gauge is running everything else.
      The brand of the gauges are Autogauge.

    So... whats the approximate amount of this whole setup ;D

    • @Avenga76
      @Avenga76  10 років тому

      My whole rig is pretty expensive because there is a lot that you can't see in the video, like my GS-4 motion simulator seat and all my transducers. but for the gauge setup, it depends on how many gauges you want and what kind of gauges you want to use, because they range in price a lot. My gauges were quite pricey so it would have cost me about $1,000USD, but you could do it for a lot cheaper using different gauges and less of them. You could make a nice 4 gauge cluster for around $300-400USD.

    • @Avenga76
      @Avenga76  10 років тому

      Hi Bob.
      They are AutoGauge brand gauges. I live in New Zealand so I got them from a local auto parts shop. They are rebranded as Racetech in the States or Depo in the UK. You can find them on Ebay buy searching for either of those depending on the country.
      The model I am using is the 60mm Smoke Stepper motor gauges for the small ones and 115mm Smoke Steppers for the large gauges.
      I am controlling them with a Symprojects Pro-Gauge and a Rev Burner. Both of them are available from their website www.symprojects.com/shop/category/pro-gauge They also sell compatible gauges on that site.

    • @Avenga76
      @Avenga76  10 років тому +1

      Yes, they are standard aftermarket car gauges.
      I run them through a Symprojects Pro-Gauge and a Rev-burner which sends the same signals that a normal car would so you can use standard car gauges.
      The software then gets all the telemetry data from Euro Truck Simulator and outputs through the Symprojects boards and to my gauges.
      In my other video I have setup an additional digital dashboard which shows pretty much every warning light and engine stat you can think of.
