Well I do have a theory o' a Disney Pirate Universe. Essentually there be little clues strune about throughout the films that indicate there bein' a possibe shared Universe. 1. The Little Mermaid: Ariels beginnin' The Ship that kills Ariels mother looks a lot like Hook's Ship 2. And if the Little Mermaid be Canon, then that'd likely mean Herculies be Canon as well, and Triton would be Posiden's son. And Intern Calipso from Dead Man's Chest and At world's End be part o' that as well. (Since it be Disney's Take on Greek Mythology) 3. Captain Hook appears in a Pirates o' the Carribean Novel. "The Prince o' Freedom" This be set before the events o' Peter Pan I assume since he still has both hands. But then he supposedly disappears, I wonder where. 4. The Mermaids in Peter Pan be very Similar to Ariel and Her Family, and the Mermaids in On Stranger Tides could be a corrupt batch similar to Ursula where they be evil. Heck there be examples in the Little Mermaid TV Show o' Sea Witches o' differnet shapes and sizes. And o' course the Merfolk in Sea o' Theives be a new example again. Cursed sailors instead o' nymphs like Ariel or Ursula. Bonus: And hey, maybe the 1950's adaptation o' Treasure Island be Canon to this universe too, since it were made by disney. I'td be fittin' since Robert Newton's Long John Silver be the very soul who invented the Pirate Accent. He were tryin' to do the Northern English accent, but did a bad job. But his voice were so Iconic, it now be what we know now as the offical Pirate Talk. Wouldn't have "International Talk like a Pirate Day" without 'im.
@@TheSEAempire By All means me hearty. I'd be glad if me theory just got out. I'd be interested in seein' yer take on it. Here be a list o' the Chronology I came up with. Jack Sparrow: Knowing him, he'd likely cheat death til this very day. . Ariel and Eric and Melody lived in the 1800s . Peter Pan & Hook apparently fought 2 centuries before the events o' the Peter Pan Movie (No wonder he be so obsessed with killin' the boy.) . Tarzan & Jane: Lived life in the 1800s . Long John Silver & Jim Hawkins: Their legacy will be remembered always. Who knows, they might still be havin' adventures in the Sea o' the Damned or some other sailors Afterlife. Captain Nemo: Lived in the 1800s.
Hey, little side note, Apparently the "Monkey Island" Franchise be part o' this Shared Pirate Universe now. ua-cam.com/video/NzyttU9joXc/v-deo.html This Shook me timbers big time. Edit: Perhaps Monkey Island be yet another part o' the Sea o' Thieves that be closed off like Neverland.
Outside of the Disney cannon, Long John Silver and Captain Hook have never met, but they are aware of eachother. In Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island, Long John Silver is described as being the only man that Captain Flint ever feared, but in J. M. Barrie's Peter Pan, Hook is the former boatswain of Captain Blackbeard and only man that Silver ever feared.
I like that you brought up the Peter pan ride. Parts of the potc tall tales were obviously call backs to the rides (which have been my favorite rides since I was a kid). I hope the captain is hook. It was Iger's Disney that did the deal with rare, and chaepek is gone, so hopefully it happens.
“I know this sounds absolutely insane, and I probably sound like a crazy conspiracy theorist” yes but please go on, you’ve intrigued me and caught my interest *Does the triangle touching their fingertips thing*
the only issue with the cap'n is captain hook theory is that chapman in a recent interview with ashinyray and captain blubber stated that the cap'n is an original character, and not a previously made or concieved one (so not the cursed captain, or hook), though i no doubt believe that the cap'n is inspired by captain hook, and that the sea of thieves is a grittier version of neverland. Also in the "Hook" movie hook ends his letter with kindest regards.
I remember when I was little I had my grandma trace My body out of some black cloth and I would pretend that it was my shadow like Peter Pan. Nice to know that there was another kid kindred spirit out there who loved that movie religiously XD
Another thing that was interesting in a pirates life is the treasure that Jack has, the way it turned the Black pearl golden before it crossed the horizon, just like how the fairy dust in Peter Pan turned the Jolly Roger golden
I think that necerland being in the sea of thieves makes sense and I think it would be in the shroud like how the shores of gold is with it being in the middle of a area of it where it’s just surrounded by the shroud and the mermaids are not white due to being isolated same for the tribe which may be a branched of section of the ancients or were banished or a different group who swam there and hook may be on a different island after running from tic tok croc
Not only that, the POTC Books mention Captain Hook in a meeting and say that he disappeared for years and came back looking like he hadn't age a day. They mention how he now for some reason has a hook and is scared of children for some reason. So Peter Pan and Pirates Of The Caribbean are already connected
Side note: I hope they use Hook from the Animation rather than the live action remake. I heard it be mediocre, along with the The Little Mermaid. Classics be classics for a reaon, ye can't replace em. Use the animated versions Rare.
