Aloe Blacc... Many think of him as a great singer or an inspiration. But for me he is my savior. He single handedly is the reason i’m still here today cooking up curry for my loved ones. The passing of all family in the small timid age of 10 left me heartbroken and homeless with no directions on how to survive in this big harsh world. But an angelic voice allowed me to stay on my feet and not surrender to an endless poverished cycle they had been haunting the rakesh legacy for centuries, and that voice is none other than Aloe Blacc. His songwritings and other forms of musical endeavors built me to be the man i am today. He taught me more about life in this single song than any education or teacher ever has. He guided me to book a flight to America at the age of 11 and enroll in school. I spent my nights on the street studying while other kids around me played with their friends. I became Valedictorian and was gifted with the opportunity to go to Harvard Law School for free. Again i was Valedictorian in Harvard. flash forward to 5 years later I am living in a penthouse with 2 wives and over 400,000$ salary yearly. Paid for every heart that I ever stole
I paid my cause and I didn't fold
Well it ain't that hard when you got soul (this is my world)
Somewhere I heard that life is a test
I been though the worst but still I give my best
God made my mold different from the rest
Then he broke that mold so I know I'm blessed (this is my world)
Stand up now and face the sun
Won't hide my tail or turn and run

I'll be the teacher you could be the lesson
I'll be the preacher you be the confession
I'll be the quick relief to all your stressing (this is my world)
It's a thin line between love and hate
Is you really real or is you really fake
I'm a solider standing on my feet
No surrender and I won't retreat (this is my world)
Stand up now and face the sun
Won't hide my tail or turn and run
