New Michelin X Tweels - Upgrade on my John Deere Z950M

- You either love them or you hate them. I have had Tweels before on a Z930M. They do hold hills better, absorb bumps and are airless over your standard regular tires. You do need to be careful with your turns. At slow speeds and most of the time they have a flat spot on the ground. With a lawn that has morning dew or is just slightly wet from rain, you can easily rip up lawns. I added these on my machine as I wanted piece of mind of no flats and to help with larger bumpy properties that I do and will be getting.
Thank you for all your support. Please subscribe to my channel if you haven't already. I appreciate all your support! PEACE!

Great information about the blades
Its something that I'm sure is over looked by many.
Miiiike! Good video, Brother! Tweels are the way to go. No flats is a GOOD thing! Have a GREAT weekend! God bless.
There is a price to pay to have them. I look a long term, no flats, save my back a little bit more, hold hills a little better and the mower just looks damn cool lol. Thanks Lou and you and your family as well have a great weekend!
Hi Mike,
Great Video and great information about the blades,
Take care and have a good weekend !!
Thanks Mom!
Well now I know what Tweels are Lol. Oh congrats on the new yard Mike. Lol I can't remember what I did two minutes ago too. Wow that is off a half an inch. Glad you measured that. Those Tweels look awesome on the John Deere. I'll have to check my blade height on my tractor. Nice footage. Great video brother.
They are getting much more popular now. Many people do use them. They are very expensive. Yes, measure your tractor blade. Make sure to have the machine on a flat even surface. Thanks for watching. Monday morning there will be part 1 of a 2 part mini series that will show the Tweels in action. Thanks Bill!
@@MBGAdventures Yea that is the first time I ever seen them. Oh I bet they are expensive. Ok flat level surface got ya. Your very welcome always glad to watch cause your videos are interesting and fun. Oh cool I will be waiting for the series. Have a goodnight brother.
"the tweels on the mower go round and round..."
Oh Tony
Very nice wheels or should I say Tweels 👊🏼. One negative I seen on a few other videos is gotta take them of in the cooler weather for leaf clean ups.
Ha ha! I will look into that. Haven't heard anything negative with them in the cold. If so, no Biggy, just switch them out with the air filled. I will not sell them. Thanks!
@@MBGAdventures not really negative just in the cold if you let them sit they get a flat spot that’s all
@@TheLawnFellas Ah, gotcha. I think any tire if there is weight on it and sits for a long time would get a flat spot. I'm not too concerned about it but I will read up on it. Thanks!
@@MBGAdventures oh ok I thought it was just the tweels good to know
No matter what equipment I want to buy it always seems the work that comes in dictates the equipment I buy.... Thats why we all have so many different machines and setups.
You are right. Thanks Ken.
Use a deck leveling tool. You keep taking measurements at an angle. Also know that the tweels settle over time.
Yes, I have to look into that. I had Tweels before, ya, they do settle. Thanks for the advice and watching!
You should check the blade height in the front and back of the deck, spin the blade so its pointing forward and measure each side (front and back) If the deck is pitched forward or back your blades could be lower than the measurement in the center where you checked.
This is why I have friends like you. Your experience helps many. I didn't even think about that. I will check it out for sure. Thanks Ken!
I've been looking at trying the tweels out pretty soon, just don't want to pay that price for them lol
They are expensive. Price here in Canada has gone up a lot since last year.
Might look into the tweels next year. I was assured when I picked my mower up that it was level, I should check it this weekend.
The cost of the Tweels have gone up here since covid. Last year they were $1100. One dealer said $1800 and another I got for $1450. Everyone is taking advantage and trying to make a buck. I thought I would throw in the blade level thing in this video to see if anyone would watch the whole video lol. I will adjust the mower so it's accurate but for now, at least I know I need to set the knob at a half inch more than what I want. Thanks for watching and your support Chris!
you need chech the blades at front and back being .25 higher in back on 60 inch
It's not really much of a difference for me to be concerned about. Works out great!
I do some pretty rough properties as well so I'm looking forward to see what you think about them by the end of this season
I have used them before. They are a bit smoother than air filled tires. They do hold hills better too. You just have to be extra careful on turns as you have a wide flat spot. You can easily tare up lawns with them in morning dew or other wet conditions.
I would love to have Tweels on my mowers🤔I wonder if you can get close to a 1000 hrs out of the tread..?..
I would love to have them on my stand ons too but they are so expensive. Makes sense on the Z950M as that will be used for large properties, bumpy, hills and for future commercial properties. No flat piece of mind is great too. Not sure how long the tread lasts.
Got one z950m with 1550hrs and one with 1800hrs tweels still in great shape on both
@@Jamestreeman I think if you are not spinning 360's on pavement everyday they would last a long time. You are living proof so thank you for telling us! :)
@@MBGAdventures both mowers have 27hp kawas both regular services kept indoors. Valve adjustments. Couple deck spindles replaced. 1800 hr one got new front wheels. Outstanding pieces of equipment.
what blades you have?
Just the straight factory ones that JD gets. No high lift, mulch, just straight up regular blades. They do a fantastic job even mulching. Discharge is nice too.
