- In the serene embrace of the village Sanktia, nestled within the precincts of Raina Block-1 under Purba Bardhaman, the venerable SANKTIA HIGH SCHOOL(H S) took its sacred birth on the 25th of JANUARY, 1925. Established under the gracious sanction of the then State Government as SANKTIA ME SCHOOL School, this institution has since blossomed into a beacon of learning, nurturing countless students who now, like fragrant blossoms, enrich the farthest corners of the globe.
As the school approaches its CENTENARY CELEBRATION, we are honored to announce a grand THREE-DAY COMMEMORATION on 24th, 25th, and 26th JANUARY 2025. This milestone, a hundred years in the making, is not merely a celebration but a tribute to an institution that has illuminated the lives of many. Students, both past and present, alongside the local community, are passionately committed to bestowing upon the school the status of a SMART SCHOOL-a fitting gift to honor its legacy.
The festivities shall witness the confluence of distinguished dignitaries, state representatives, alumni, and thousands of well-wishers, all gathered to pay homage to this hallowed seat of learning. The evenings will be resplendent with cultural performances that promise to mesmerize the audience. Esteemed Bangla bands DOHAR, CACTUS and SAHORE will grace the stage with their soul-stirring rhythms. Celebrated artists ABHIJEET ACHARYA and ANKITA BASU shall enchant us with their melodic prowess, while a captivating STAGE PLAY by PRAYAS will leave an indelible mark.
