Hey love! in this video i did a 7 day rice water challenge where i use the yao women recipe of rice water every day, for 7 days! Rice water is amazing for hair growth and i have done many rice water videos on this channel before. i once did a 10 day rice water challenge with regular rice water so i thought i'd try a 7 day rice water challenge using the yao women rice water and i was amazed!

For those wondering if you can use rice water every day, the answer from personally experience is maybe. Lol I did use it almost every day for months and nothing bad happened to my hair. In fact my shedding some very low the entire time I used it. I am low porosity as well. However, I didn’t grow stupid dumb amount of hair if that’s why you want to do it. Your hair can get use to a product. I kept using it cause it kept my shedding and breakage at a minimum, but my growth was always .5 in so use it at your own risks if you do. Also, I have stopped using it for about some weeks now and plan to use it again soon, in the meantime (I used the yao women’s recipe plus grapefruit peels) I have a jar that’s been fermenting since July and til this day (oct 1) it literally doesn’t stink whatsoever.
Unless its fermented then it smells
My rice water has been stored safely in a dark dry place for 5 days. Can't wait to try it . After 4 weeks. .

Can this be used for protective styles or braids as in like a moisturizer everyday for a 7 days? Also does anybody know how well this works with coarse hair?
Yeah your hair look longer because you comb it out and put in conditions that's why I tthink your hair look longer

Hi love, I made this version of rice water. I only let it fermented for two weeks with the grapefruit peels. I am here to say it was a big difference, it literally felt as if it had a slight moisture of oils from the grapefruit. I used a very small amount with a mixture of added water as a leave in for 24 hrs. Then I raised out on the three day after the spray of rice water for 10 minutes rest. I just started, so I will keep you posted on my results.

It might be me, but I'm kind if confused as to what you did daily. Did you spray on the rice water, put it in a shower cap for 30 minutes then rinse and on 8th day you washed and deep conditioned??
Hey, no i was spraying rice water in my hair every day and leaving it in for 20 mins for 7 days. On the 8th day i didn't use rice water, i just deep conditioned and detangled. 💖

Is it ok to add rose water to the rice water?
I wouldn't suggest it because rice water has astringent properties and can make your hair dry combined with the rice water. 💖
