Any person seeking truth will not accept the very surface argument that John 8:58 is Jesus claiming to be God. When Jesus spends so much of his time speaking about not exalting himself and not testifying about himself. Any 1st year Greek student or even a novice looking at a Greek interlinear New Testament will see the Blind Man that was born blind saying ‘I am’ (ego emi) when they said he only looked like the man. The translators did not capitalize the word I AM in that case. Jesus was telling them that he was more important in the salvation of man than Abraham was. He had also just called them children of Satan. That’s why they picked up stones. Most compelling argument against him claiming to be God was that they did not bring it up at his trial. And no one in the New Testament was ever brought before judges for claiming that Jesus was God. It simply is not there.
@@karlshaner2453 Please show me the verse after Resurrection that Jesus claims to be God. I read him saying his God is our God. I hear him say that again and again in Revelation.
@@SonOfGodByNewBirthInChrist You need to think biblical, without glueing yourself to the bible..But seek the Lords words from other prophets from the house of Israel. God has not changed his methods, sadly most Christians reject his methods to their own detriment.
@@karlshaner2453 John 12:48-50 The one who rejects me and *does not receive my words* has a judge; *the word that I have spoken will judge him on the last day.* For *I have not spoken on my own authority,* but the Father who sent me has himself given me a commandment-what to say and what to speak. And I know that his commandment is eternal life. What I say, therefore, I say as the Father has told me.”
@@karlshaner2453 According to the Bible, no. He never claims to be God, and since you haven't shown where he does it, and since I have read the book cover to cover multiple times, I know you are wrong. Jesus HAS a God according to himself. It's not difficult. In Revelation, LONG AFTER he rose, he speaks of his God several times (Rev. 1:6, 3:12, etc.). It's even called in verse 1, the Revelation of Jesus Christ, THAT GOD GAVE HIM.
Jesus is indeed Jehovah, but he is Not his Father....They are literally Father and Son in the true sense of the word. He tells us very often that we are to pray unto the Father in his name, and that we as he is, are the children of God.
Good job brother.

According to the bible, yes...Find the record after he was risen, he does claim to be God, but still the Son. He still does the work of his Father.
