    YESSS thank you so much for reviewing the entire line! So many people only test the 3 and that club isn't appropriate for the majority of amateur golfers. Love it

    I have the 3Wood and 7W in the bag. I have a 60gram stiff in the 7W accuracy is greens at 200-220 yards and I am mid handicap,
    3W is easy to hit and carries 250 yards, but gripped down good for 22yard stock shot also. A 5 Hybrid 25deg takes me from 175-200 yards. PW-6i works for the rest of the bag.
    Lovely solid feel of the Srixon ZX compared to the Cleveland's but they are a great club also. Nice value for money clubs.

    Good review Lee 👍🏻 I don’t think anyone likes a 3 wood off the deck lol but considering the Srixon driver went about 280 and combined with the 5 & 7 wood in the bag your range would be about 530 yards on a par 5.I would only just use the 3 wood off the tee. Everyone discuss 😂

    Just to put this in the mix lee I’ve always struggled with 3 wood so I opted for a 4 wood and just worked around with the yardage because know matter how good we think we are we will always struggle to actually hit the yardages every time so you make allowances for the gaps I think as club golfers and while people always talk about gapping I think that’s more important in the irons (but then what do I know I’ve only ever got to a 5 handicap)lol

    I got fitted for the ZX7 driver in January so I also went for the ZX 3 wood at 15deg and the 3 hybrid at 19deg. The shaft for me turned out to be the Tensei Orange CK, beautiful shaft.
    These clubs are so far under the radar it's criminal. Anyone going for a fitting needs to hit the Srixon range - even if you don't end up with them.

    Maybe you can do an Ask Dan on hitting a 7 wood 👍🏼clearly shaft spec makes quite a difference, worth a retest for the shaftoids! Going to be gaming g410 5w (@16.5* and 7w @ 20.5) for the post lockdown 2021 season.

    For the 7-wood, it’s a shorter shaft, and you’re pull-drawing…move it an inch back in your stance.

    Nice to see the Srixon fairway woods on test, going to get fitted for the driver and the 5 wood. Like you 3 woods of the deck for me are difficult to hit consistently. Liked the review.

    You could argue that with your phenomenal speed, you don't even need a 3-wood. Might be better with a strong 4-wood? How about popping the 5-wood shaft into the 3-wood head just for giggles? Great review, really good products from Srixon.

    Beside shaft, try moving the ball position back a touch with the 7 wood. Think the 3 wood is too close to your driver distance, IMO.

    You fancy the Cleveland/Srixon clubs this year. You don't have to have to have a 3 wood. I have two 5 woods. I have a low launching and high launching.

  • @markaochoa2017
    @markaochoa2017 3 роки тому

    I actually don’t game a 3 wood. Almost goes as long as my driver once it rolls out. 5 wood is my favorite club. Would defiantly like to try a 7 wood instead of a hybrid just to see what happens

  • @chrisbaker1967
    @chrisbaker1967 3 роки тому

    Good review, Lee. Definitely be interesting to see how that 7 would perform in the same shaft. Gapping was great and if you could get anywhere near that grouping with the seven, they'd be great clubs to attack greens with. I suspect the three could do similar but clearly needs a lot of practice to achieve the consistency of strike required. But if you could achieve it and be hitting a straightish ball off the deck as far as most people would realistically hope to hit driver then you're going to shorten a lot of holes and give yourself chances

    • @LWG
      @LWG  3 роки тому

      Yeah I agree mate. I love my 4 iron though. I have some decisions to make this year.

    • @chrisbaker1967
      @chrisbaker1967 3 роки тому

      @@LWG yeah, being a long hitter, I guess that seven wood fits in the same gap. Test it for dispersion, descent angles and, ultimately, confidence when you're stood over it and see the outcome. Good luck

    3w off the deck is hard enough but off a mat is really difficult, I wouldn't right it off until you can play off grass. 👍

  • @kymstock1852
    @kymstock1852 3 роки тому

    If at 115 mph swing speed you are not getting the 3W to behave reliably, little wonder most club golfers only use their 3 W off the tee.Your flight path looked very low with the 3W. I set my Cobra F9 5-6 wood at 17 degrees and got the off the deck shots I needed, as well as using it off the tee to keep the ball in play when needed. What loft is a 4 wood these days? Does anyone make a 4 wood, or is it at the end of adjustable 3 ( highest) and 5 ( lowest) woods range of settings only?
    Edit 2 months later: I have added a 7 wood to my bag ( TS2) . I have set it at 22.5 degrees to get the 165m carry I wanted, other wise it was getting too close to the 5 wood ( now at 17.5 degrees) . The 5 Wood trajectory is lower / more penetrating flight, whereas the 7 W is higher and stops very quickly .

    That’s the shape I get with a 3 wood just toey strikes and big left miss.. I don’t think you’ll need to hit it 250 off the deck.. very few of us play courses that requires that.. put that 5 wood in the bag.. better gapping for you I think mate

    • @LWG
      @LWG  3 роки тому +1

      Both good in their own right. I’d say the Cleveland is easier to hit, but you would get rewarded more from a good strike with the srixon.
