Mr. Jack, do you feel that Haas wants to stay in NASCAR to be competitive, rebuild to where they can win races again? Or is this just to have a car on track to be a rolling billboard for Haas Automation and Haas Tooling? Me, I think it's the second, unless they revive the Hendrick connection and this becomes the team that Junior wants to invest into. Very interested to know your thoughts.
Conspiracy theory: Haas intended to drive out Stewart with his dumb decisions to have sole ownership of the team. Now that that's done, the future is very uncertain, especially seeing how Hamlin, Marks, Keslowski, and other teams are vying for that one open spot to take from Haas and boost their numbers
@@LessGo7921 I'm only biased to the numbers 00 and 0 cause I've raced those numbers personally. And 01 car would be good too but maybe Dale Jr. would do that if he hopefully makes the jump to cup.
I think all that matters for Haas at the moment is staying as a highly competitive Xfinity team like they are rn. Then use that to build up their cup program
This makes me think Stewart was the main problem. Tony Stewart is the one who was always flirting with leaving Nascar, and his attention was on projects outside of Nascar. Stewart Haas could have survived if they simply reduced down to 2 teams, and sold the other 2 charters. Running a 4 car team is extremely difficult, especially when one of the owners loses interest in managing things on a day to day basis.
Tony went to different projects because he honestly probably didn't think it wad worth his time look at the team since he left Harvick was the sole life line for that team and now he's gone why would Stewart stick around
@@RC.41 Gene enters the chat. Both are bad and rather not put money into the team. Gene has a history doing this to his team in other series and only wants to reap the rewards.

With Haas sticking around in NASCAR, I think Cole Custer will drive in Cup next year, he's no longer the favorite to drive for Front Row. FRM will make a tough decision on who they'll sign next year, most likely Noah Gragson and/or Josh Berry as Berry is also a favorite for Wood Bros/Penske to drive the 21.

@@kharnthebetrayer1575 yep. I’ve always knew Gene was all for business and Tony was more for racing. After 2022, I just gave up on hoping for F1 Haas to do well
Regarding their placements next year, I honestly think they might do better than people expect. I've had this theory that SHR was struggling because they were spreading dwindling resources too thin between four teams and cars, and that if they just shrunk to a more manageable size and consolidate their talent to maybe two teams they'd be fine. Going to one seems a bit drastic because now you have to rely on a single car to get any and all winnings instead of having a back-up entry, but hey, they are at least downsizing which should stop the bleeding. Also for aesthetic purposes I would kind'a like them to bring back the 0 car or something. Rebrand the 98 in Xfinity to the 0 and we cam have some consistent theming across the whole organization. (Also because if I ever got into iRacing I'd probably rep the 00.
While the 41 has championed the HAAS name, i think you stick with the best recognition for outside people when deciding which number stays. The 4 and 14 both have championships, and Custer is making a name in the 00 on the xfinity side. So all in I think the 41 has the least chance of being kept even counting the 10 car.
Herbst is not a top driver. In 157 Xfinity starts he has just 1 win and 2 poles. There are a dozen better drivers out there and Custer is 10X better. Custer has 158 starts, just one more than Herbst, but he has 13 wins and 20 poles. If Herbst gets a ride, it is because someone wrote a HUGE check.
Custer to cup is locked. Good, bad or otherwise it’s the future of that team for cup in the foreseeable future. Herbst will likely continue on in Xfinity and Brandon Jones (if he gets the boot from JRM) would likely make up the Xfinity team. I struggle to think this will be a serious competitive organization. If anything I think this should be a looked at as a funding/B2B/financials first type organization.
This is my conspiracy thought: Andretri Autosport wants to get into F1. What if HAAS forms an alliance with Andrett in F1 and in exchamge, Andretti helps with funding of his NASCAR team. Then they switch to Chevy since Andretti wants to bring Cadillac into F1.
Won't happen. Haas is in F1 because he likes being an F1 team owner. He likes being able to bring clients to races, give them the "insiders tour," and sell them his multi-million dollar CNC machines and service contracts. The team gets a split of F1's money, and has enough sponsorship to pay the bills. And there's some personal animosity between Haas and Michael Andretti, and has repeatedly said Andretti's the last person he'd sell to. My thought is that Haas wants to be in NASCAR, but doesn't want to spend the money he's had to put out for years. Getting rid of Stewart means no partner to split profits with, and Stewart's given up on NASCAR since the Eldora snub and drag racing is more fun for him now. Stewart is probably happy to be rid of whatever commitments he had at SHR, and walks away with a nice payday. Haas can now be a Cup team owner, bring clients to races, give them that "insiders tour," and sell them his multi-million dollar Made in 'murica CNC machines. Custer's family pays the bills, and won't steal the spotlight from Haas. Ford will continue to support them as long as they need a competitive Xfinity team. Penske isn't interested; RFK is still rebuilding their Cup team and it'd be a distraction. Supporting Haas in Xfinity, while giving them third-tier support in Cup, is in Ford's best interest, especially if they decide to move Deegan up to Cup (and don't learn the lesson of Danica)

Long time SHR fan. Its definitely gonna be different only having 1 cup driver to pull for and knowing theyll probably not be very competitive but hey dont have to search for a new team now.
I wanted them to stay not because they are my favorite team, but because they are the 2nd fastest team outside of jgr. Riley herbst is consistent, and cole custer is always up front, they are a top team in xfinity, so idk what they were thinking about shutting down
I really don't think Gene Haas is cup team owner material, he's very hands off even with SHR, pretty clear that when Stewart stopped caring the performance of the team plummeted, it'll be cool for the car to exist on the track in 2025 but that's just about all I expect it to do next year.
I had heard rumor of Haas staying in Xfinity so that doesn't surprise me, but keeping a Cup car is very unexpected. Definitely think Custer is the leading candidate for Cup, I think reports had it that the decision to drop him back to Xfinity in the first place was a Stewart idea, and I genuinely think Custer has been Cup ready, he just joined the team when the downfall started. No saying what will happen, but I hope focusing all effort on one ride instead of dividing effort to four seperate teams can get them in the tight direction. I think Herbst keeps his ride, and Preece takes the Xfinity 00. I'd also like to see the car change to the 0 or 00, but I don't know what rules apply to Cup numbers.
Custer will be in that cup car and they will run Kaulig like. I would like to see them mix it up with the Xfinity drivers, but feel it'll be Herbst and some other pay driver.
Happy for those who get to keep their jobs, but at best, I'd say that this team will be similar to what we see currently: Mid pack with flashes of impressive moments/finishes, but this is only if they can keep or bring in a good driver (I'd say most likely candidate is Cole Custer). Problem is the money side of things, especially if Gene Haas is going to have to slap his name on the car every week, and I don't know if he's willing to put out the big dollars for a driver who is currently being looked at by other teams (4-5 of the 6 drivers left with SHR are pretty much on everyone's wish list in the Cup Series)... However, given that it will just be one car instead of 4 now, I may be surprised. Hope things work out for everyone involved next season.
I actually like this move. I think Gene HASS and HASS automation staying in the cup series is a good thing. And I think he’ll have a better chance at being successful in the cup series than F1. And as for how they will preform. I do think they will be a back burner for most of the 2025 season. And then start showing signs of speed towards the end of 2025. I think if they’re not on the same level as RWR they will be slightly below that. And I do think they have a whole lot of drivers to consider for not only the cup series seat. But the two xfinity series seats too. I think if cole Custer doesn’t get the cup series seat. It will either be Chase Briscoe or josh berry. And then for the xfinity series rides. I think if Riley herbst doesn’t leave. He gets one of those xfinity series seats. And for the other. I’m thinking that Ryan preece ends up in the xfinity series in that second seat.
I'm happy but I don't think anyone wanted to buy that last charter, and with the France family lurking in speculation, they just kept it, see if the investment rises again.
I could see Haas switching to Toyota or Chevy if he plans to switch to Honda( or a different manufacturer when they come in). On the driver side I assume this will be either Custer because of his dad or Herbst because of Monster money. On Herbst I don't see him as another Johnson but I also don't think he'll be any worse than Bubba Wallace is in cup.
Don't bring Deegan to Haas. She suffers from what's called skill issue. Cole Custer and Riley Herbst staying in the team are the best Xfinity choices imo.
Iceberg im a massive hailie deegan fan but i agree with you. She needs to improve and improve NOW before she becomes a perminant midpack driver. I dont think a new team can do the job. Hailie NEEDS to get better.
I know she's a good driver AM Racing isn't a top tier team plus if you look they were supposed to be a two car team and well for some reason they couldn't make it happen and I think it's because they don't have enough funding. I want to see her race for a actual top tier team like what she had in the K&N West that team was really good and she was able to win three races and most of her finishes was top 5, then she drove for DGR which isn't a good team now they are doing better because they went from ford to Toyota, Thorsport who had success with Toyota switched to ford and well haven't shown the same speed that they had before. This is her first season in Xfinity her rookie season. Remember where Ross Chastain came from JD Motorsports I believe and he got the opportunity to drive in the 42 car that was really good in Xfinity and showed speed and even won. I think if she can drive for any team that's better than AM Racing even if she has to change manufacturers i think it will help her
It’s good for at least some of the employees, but unless somebody else joins the team to run it.Hass will not be competitive. Hint Jr. and Kelly. Might be an opportunity to get into Cup and run it your way.

I wanted them to stay not because they are my favorite team, but because they are the 2nd fastest team outside of jgr. Riley herbst is consistent, and cole custer is always up front, they are a top team in xfinity, so idk what they were thinking about shutting down
Saw this coming since last week for some reason
That sounds like a terrible financial decision unless it is being done simply for a tax write-off.
They could be the next furniture row! I doubt he's staying in the sport and spending the money to just be mediocre!
It’ll be Overstock as the sponsor
Nope it’s going to HAAS CnC just like now and before Tony .
I really don't think Gene Haas is cup team owner material, he's very hands off even with SHR, pretty clear that when Stewart stopped caring the performance of the team plummeted, it'll be cool for the car to exist on the track in 2025 but that's just about all I expect it to do next year.
Joe Custer will be running the team.
Dude what are you smoking. Dude is literally ass
It's gonna be the 00 in Cup and the 0 car can be the Xfinity ride.
Would they entertain Toyota? Adding LMC has been such a failure I don't know they would.
Custer will be in that cup car and they will run Kaulig like. I would like to see them mix it up with the Xfinity drivers, but feel it'll be Herbst and some other pay driver.
Stewart was the only reason that team had a chance at winning, without Stewart there they are back to the back of the pack
This ought to be interesting 👀
Where did Gene Haas get his money from in the first place? Anyone know?
HAAS Automation, his company makes CNC machines, some really good products actually
@@anareel4562 Oh thats cool. Thank you for the information
Haas really said “sadly yes, but I lived!”
My guess is Custer will take the cup ride preece will replace Custer in xfinity
Custer is literally ass
“I thought you were dead.”
*”My death was greatly exaggerated.”*
The only problem with Danica Patrick was results also. Results is supposed to be what the racing is about. Deegan reminds me of another Patrick.
I always expected this outcome. It was Tony that wanted a change of pace
So one charter will be kept by Haas. Two other SHR charters is up for sale as one was already taken by Front Row.
Cole Custer is the youngest winner in nascar history
Not the youngest in Cup though.

Had us in the first half ngl
Imagine briscoe and Childers in the one Haas car👀
Nah he will reunite with Roush at RFK.
My friend actually predicted this earlier today on his prediction video
I like the decision. Haas needs to be in NASCAR with Ford.
Chevy
If he's smart he'll keep Noah or Chase. I think Noah has the best long term potential
As a Preece fan I really want to see Preece is a Solid xfinity team and just get a nice base down then try and get into a great cup team.
Maybe but he worked so hard to come back to the Cup series.
It would be the 4 charter, not the 41. Maybe rebranded to a different number, but the 4 charter is the original 0/00 Haas charter
I really hope that keselowski gets the number 14
Why would Brad K get the #14?, They’d probably wanna get the #16 more. (If kaulig shuts down, or gives up the number for the #10)
@@BraydenBunch58yeah possibly but it wouldn't surprise me if Keselowski brings back the 26 or the 06.
Hailie brings her fathers last name
BoTS, bOtS, BOtS, boTs, bOts. 5 of them.
Custer to cup, briscoe to Gibbs berry too wood brothers, Harrison burton and preece to haas xfinity
No disrespect to Tony Stewart but I'm very happy to hear that he's doing that
ARIC ALMIROLA COMEBACK INCOMING 💀💀💀💀
I'm happy but I don't think anyone wanted to buy that last charter, and with the France family lurking in speculation, they just kept it, see if the investment rises again.
Refuse to like a video that seriously mentions Haley Deegan possibly going to the cup series
I did not here that. Pretty sure he said Hailie Deegan would be lucky to get Haas Xfinity ride if Cole moved to cup
Cool. Cole will race Cup.
Saw that one coming.
The new rwr (pre Justin haley)
I don't know.....but i can smell a Bow Tie return to the Haas team......
If they switch to chev OR Busch just joins on his own without manufac support I think imma die
One car teams aren’t serious.
Hailie NEEDS to get better.
she's not even a mid pack driver. Nice girl yes. nascar driver no.
Earnhardt-Haas Racing?
They should bring berry and Rodney back for their one remaining cup car and have preece and Harrison Burton take over there two xfinity cars. And Custer goes to front row in there new cup car.
Lmao Hailey deegan..... are you Fing serious????
I like it good job hass
This is the perfect time for dodge to come back
