Lmao, that rarely happens. My teammates disconnect first then me. Once 2 of my teammates disconnected and only 2 of us on wave 2. We did it. Then I just realized we got to wave 3 and boy did i know I should die.

It's actually good to stay in one spot all together during glow flies so all of you can weed out the salmanid. If all of you are separated then the round will be over pretty much immediately.

yes every map has a choke point that forces the salmonids to all spawn from the same spot and only go to one spot on the map. and with everyone huddled near it and knowing how to correctly use their weapon (dynamo and flingza stay on the ground to crush them - don't flick, brella shields should be launched, bloblobber should be standing at back and aiming over the heads of teammates so bubbles bounce, etc) you can easily survive. also helps if you all know when to individually alternate between firing, refilling ink, getting/delivering egg

I personally enjoy Salmon Run more so than Turf War.
Not that I find any problems with Turf War, it’s just that... Salmon Run is so satisfying! The co-op plays you can make, the survivals you can accomplish, the parties you can have between & after waves. Do I need to say any more?!

Also I really like the teamwork in ranked and salmon run. In Turf War, no one in my team works together, and it kinda sucks.
I haven’t touched Turf War in months, and I’ve never looked back. Charger main here.

Salmon run is a mode where I play pretty much daily whenever a new shift appears. And the more we play that mode the more knowledgeable and easier it gets to manage with the map, layout and how their AIs work. It's great!

The reset rank is for a group of people who feel that above a certain rank is too hard. And for another group that enjoys climbing from Profresh 40 to 999. Previously it would take a long time to drop in rank in order to start all over again. I'm part of the group that resets a lot
Getting 999s is a big achievement and is what makes Salmon Run fun for a lot of us. There's a very large dedicated Discord server solely for strategies and everything related to SR.

I would say the worst weapon in salmon run is the range blaster. It's ink-thirsty, it has terrible mobility and fire rate, and the extra range is never made necessary in salmon run except for when you're fighting a steelhead.
Eh, to each their own. Bamboozler is OK for me.
Inkbrush is not that bad, it's useful if you get surrounded and don't have a path to swim away. It does suck when you can't reach a Steelhead, though. That's when you utilize the high ground. Basically, the worst weapons to me are the ones with painfully low range (Luna Blaster, Dapple Dualies) and/or slowness (Hydra Splatling, E-Liter).

everybody gets on that platform to take turns to fire your weapon and create a choke point, that particular spot is even better for being just besides the basket, rollers and brellas specially need to serve as "walls" during glowflies

2:07 *deep inhale* BASICALLY Salmonid culture revolves heavily around a sort of "circle of life" concept, these statues were built by the salmonid to represent that cycle and the fact they can be eaten by other creatures as part of it. Its not something that bothers them its just their culture, a very "honorable clan" vibe as was said in an interview (dont remember by who tho I think the director?). Thats why they use frying pans and such as weapons. Thats also what and why the Griller...is. I cannot recommend the video rassicas made on salmonid lore enough, they translate the interview that gives us the most info we have atm on Salmonid.

Best moment of my life: That time when we had a full basket on Lost Outpost, but the building was flooded with Steel Eels. I was the last guy alive. My teammates were calling for help as more Eels ran them over. This was risky, and there were 20 seconds left. I fled the building as fast as I could. I was safe, until some Cohocks noticed me. I was able to kill some, but there were just so many. I ran around the building in circles until the wave ended. We won.

Theory for the gaint food on the spawning grounds: Inkling are not as big as a human shown by the ballpoint pen minigun being as big as the inkling them selves and why in the octo expansion

When you only just now realize that every boss in salmon run represents a sub or special:
Maws: splashdown
Steel head: Booyah bomb
Stinger: sting ray
Steel eel: ink wall
Scrapper: is the one exception, if you can think of anything let me know
Drizzler: rainmaker (not the competitive one, the special)
Flyfish: tenta missles
scrapper: baller?
The drizzled is called inkstorm not rainmaker.

tip: if you're in a bad situation and the round is about to end, jump into the water when there's 3 seconds or less, and you'll survive because it doesn't count you as dead until 3 seconds later

Also I learned technique, if you all stay really close to each other, during rounds, well except for mist, you’ll probably die because everyone is close. Also you can one shot the fly fish with the sting ray if you just aim at the middle for a little bit. I’d say the specials you want to aim for is sting ray- can kill like, every boss basically so that and splashdown because you can save your team

if u r on that map with the ink rails (I can't remember its name) and u r being swarmed by glow flies go on the ink rail and let your teammates do all the work

to answer the question of reset rank's purpose: on the surface level, it decreases difficulty without having to deal with a loosing streak. hidden in the background, on the other hand, comes the real reason; difficulty is directly linked with the number in the meter (not pay grade), and once you hit profresh 100, it will not reset daily. resetting ONLY drops the meter, not the pay grade, so when resetting, you can build up your pay grade higher than where you cap off in difficulty. Learn your limit and reset to keep building your pay grade and get the daily rewards faster. Since pay grade goes down with a loss (relative to how bad a loss it is), resetting is the only way to build it up to max in a reasonable amount of time.
profresh 100 is not the hardest salmon run can get. if i remember correctly, it isnt until 300+ that you max out the difficulty at 200%, and only if all 4 players in the lobby have that same minimum score.
I vibe with anyone who's tried to play on hazard level max. Not people who play on hazard level max, people who TRIED getting there

Hi Jay, I love your videos. I enjoy watching them and I want you to keep up the amazing work.
I would also LOVE to see some story about the salmonids. There are actually already some interesting tidbits about them in the salmonod field guide! Did you know: "They inhabit a restricted ocean zone, and any unauthorized contact with them is expressly forbidden by law."
The corn, sausage and asparagus towers are present on every salmon run stage and i believe they are there as "landmarks" to make communication easier for squads familiar with their locations. Eg "2 stingers at sausage tower"

Yesterday my Run was a mix of good and bad, had one team that just kept killing and dying while I was the only one picking up the eggs

Don't put in more roe eggs in the basket than required in the first two rounds, if you crush it then the game adjusts and makes the next level much much harder.
