Sunday school teachings have long held to a school of thought about a location on earth called the tower of babel and up until the scattering of the peoples, there had been one language and one racial color. Then the Holy Spirit sent them into confusion with multiple languages and also with a natural grouping together by racial similarities with each one discovered to be all speaking the same language. This had happened before the days of Peleg mentioned in the Old Testament meaning when the earth was divided. Literally the crustal plates began dividing and spreading apart. This was God's way of forestalling the event about a single one world government and that would have prevented the sequence of events leading to the birth of Jesus and then his growing up in a single unified culture at the end of the age of empires. Only later in human history began some new teachings that there had been more than only one cradle of civilization. Lighter skinned people were associated through generations of growing up far north of the equator and darker skinned people nearer to the equator.

I agree that race is a man made ideology used to separate people based on skin color and outward appearance, sometimes for bad reasons as history has shown. I chalk that up to people being able to be easily influenced to believe what someone tells them is true. It's been that way since the serpent slithered into the garden and influenced Eve the Eve convinced Adam to eat the fruit. At the same time I feel there is a little more to our differences than just culture, language and practices., People from different geographical lineages do have genetic differences. Red is in many complexions. Some dark skin people are of a reddish brown copper tone. Complexion in people variety of darks to lights. If you look at women's cosmetics, especially foundations for dark undertones, you'll see shades of golden added in some, shades of red added in some of the foundations. There is not much red added to complexion of lightest to white tones if it is it is very minimal. Light or white tones aren't red unless the blush or are emotional but constantly red. To create blushing or red or pink in the cheeks light or white completions us blushes to ADD coloring because it gives the skin some color. But there's so much more to that I won't go into because its too long.
