This noise had been doing my head in for a long time but I'd been putting the job off knowing I was going to struggle trying to do it on my own! Luckily super Ash to the rescue helped me out in between a project he was working on so here we are!... There's also a brilliant little fix that we didn't expect that we needed to do further on in the video that probably saved me hundreds of pounds! Happy days! I hope you enjoy todays video!

Shed loads of heat on those brake line nuts usually saves them from twisting and snapping, I've never had one crack and I work on 50's and 60's stuff, grab a mapgas torch... Heat solves most tight bolt issues ✌🏻
They never looked like snapping though that’s the thing. But was moving freely 🤷🏼♂️👍🏼

Someone once told me that putting wheel spacers on cars damage the bearings by putting extra forces on them, something to do with the weight of the car being balanced outwards, and the Porsche is a very heavy vehicle...... don't know if it's right but it's what I got told 🤷

hubcentric spacers don't cause damage because it's just slightly longer bolts. Cheap spacers that press on the bearing will cause damage.
I bought a set of front calipers for one of these to fit my transporter for the same price as your whole car so you have a bargain

Keep up the good work Ben, them size wheel spacers will probably knock out another bearing and a little tip for getting out seized brake pipes is a little blow torch the type used by chefs just heat up the head of the brake nipple, Amazon is your place!

Less than 2 years between mots so it’s not exactly that long for a restoration is it ? It’s now getting a engine conversion 🤷🏻♂️
@@Simples739 just looked and I broke the coupe turbo 4 years ago so must of been 4 years you sent me a pic of the Astra back then on the ramp. IMO I would keep the c20xe init. Least it’s done to a good standard.
It’s never been on a ramp whilst getting restored, it was on a spit then on the floor in a barn.
