I noticed the recommend blade length is 32 for this one, is there a reason why. I just ordered the star killer limited edition and that also recommend 32. Vader sabers does not have a recommend blade length on all there sabers. Any feedback why just on these two.
Who else here called this their first lightsaber when they were a kid, with the blue plastic telescoping blade and flashlight emitter lol. A classic
Mine was Luke's green saber. I still have it, even with a broken blade lol
I think my first lightsaber was a broomstick hahaha
Mine was the hasbro 2007 build your own
First version of Darth Maul, when phantom menace first premiered.
Me but didn’t light up and was very durable and I had a blue and green one!!
Man, I always love your reviews. This was my second saber, the XenoV3 version, and I love it. I like how you're honest about saving some money and still having almost the same quality with the cheaper version. Thank you for the awesome content, we are about the same age and I feel like we share some similar good memories about StarWars.
Good memories of everything back then. Great time for movies and life!
the Chrome is very AOTC Saber accurate, the Brushed is more TPM Saber accurate. I'm actually kind of surprised that the Brass Valve is the button and not the actual Red Button. I may hold off on this one now, honestly.
you can change the button functions.
@@christopherhahn3950 - right, but is the red button actually set up as a switch? From the look of it, it seems only the Brass Valve is set up that way. I hope you are right and that can be changed
@Saberbelt No, the red button is completely static, and in no way connected to anything.
My favorite saber from the prequels. I’m probably going to get this one in a few months! Thanks for the review 🔥
@@JosiahMuncy I have the TXQ version of the Obi-Wan ep1 saber, which is decent, but after seeing the effort LGT put into the Obi-Wan ep1 V2, I picked one up. I'd also looked at the 89sabers version, since the 5 or so 89's I have are top quality. The LGT Obi-Wan V2 is very close, so I decided to give LGT a try again. Let me just say you won't be disappointed and I got mine with proffie, but the Xenopixel's V3's are really nice also. Can't go wrong either way, and the hilt is spot on. Now you can probably get a custom, crystal chamber Obi-Wan ep1 saber, but your looking @ $600+. I usually go 89sabers/LGT( their newer gen hilts), TXQ. I've got several of each brand, so thats my recommendation.
WOW that’s a damn good looking saber,Nexus are pulling out all the stops also it’s great seeing all the sabers taking this leap forward, great review mate 🤙🏻❤️🤙🏻
Amazing to see how far these saber designed and technology has come in just 2.5 years I have been reviewing them. The line between high end and mid range has become blurred for sure.
@@TheCollectorsOutpost can’t wait to see some new sabers for a wee change hopefully The Acolytes will come up something new and exciting 🤙🏻
Yeah I've noticed those differences over the years too! Just looking at my very first lights lightsaber that's a RGB Baselit, you charge it with an ac adapter, & back then you either bought a lightsaber that had a covertech knob on the saber (wasn't called that) or you couldn't put on on it.
That very first lightsaber though looks like it should be in a Museum somewhere, & I still pull it off the wall every few months to give it a few swings. Watching these movies & seeing them getting their lightsabers destroyed or loosing them all the time but not caring (just make another), it just makes me feel they don't respect their lightsabers enough to do the lore justice

I have the same feeling on old vs new sabers. I ended up selling all of my old sabers with the ugly on / off buttons + charging ports and bought newer versions of them, the Qui Gon saber is a good example of old vs new like this Obi saber. I really enjoy you channel! Keep up the good work!
Oh yeah that first qui gon is perfect on seeing the changes and efforts to make these more movie prop looking
Newer is more accurate, but the older would probably be better as a stunt saber.
Also speaker mods might be easier with old core, but haven't tried with the removable type. It is possible to fit 27mm speakers like from the Verndari into LGT hilts, if you let them sit in the pommel. I think something could he done with the removable ones, but it can't sit into the pommel, like the Shin Hati does.
Even if the pommel is holding sound back, it'll be a massive improvement. 👍
When my friend got his Darth Vader Original Xeno v3 from NeoSabers, They gave him a brand newer hilt design that looked incredibly screen accurate. Of course the electronics were Xeno v3 and it was exactly like the one you were showing. Portable core. Btw that was really cool that you got your own sound font in there.
Thanks. It’s just a couple sound files I added in.
Brooo…. BROOoooo…BROOOOOOOO! That sound font tho hahahaha
😁
Man I was about to get Anakin Betrayal flex saber from VaderSabers for the May the 4th sale, but after seeing this one you got me in a bind. I've always had a thing for Obi Wan's Prequel lightsaber.
My own customs saber is also dropping At Vaders sabers in May 4th!

@@TheCollectorsOutpost pretty cool. But between Anakin's betrayal flex Saber and Obi Wan's prequel Saber, which one would you choose?
I'll need to see if I can get the ep2 pommel bit somewhere since the one I ordered came with 2 of the ep 1 with the holes in it. Not a big issue since outside me I doubt anyone is going to notice.
Yeah the 89sabers comes with both and Xeno just came with the holes versions. But 99% of people just won’t care between them. And who knows, they may at some point include the other version to swap out. I wouldn’t be surprised. They are constantly updating things
I always enjoy your comparison videos 😊
Glad you like them!
Wait we just gonna glance over how Jon got his own custom sound font?
Hahaha I just made a few sound files and dropped them on.
Wow that's super awesome Jon and the xeno Obi-Wan saber is so very similar to the 89 saber version but I noticed that the xeno is skinnier then the 89 version but other than that and the blade plug and the buttons there is very little difference so awesome🐉
Just bought mine and used your code, great video!
Awesome! Thank you!
Is the ignition the red button towards the top of the blade or does is not do anything and the gold one does everything? Also, is the blade plug magnetic into the blade hole or does it just sit there?
I got this one recently, there’s only one downside and it’s touched upon, but I have about 4 sabers, and this one is definitely the most muffled and quiet of the bunch. Everything is else is great.
Yeah sound venting on both the xeno and 89 are not great. The 89 is maybe a tiny bit better in sound but not much.
@@TheCollectorsOutpost good to know, it’s still really cool and it’s probably the best version for money!
I've the UW/TPS version from years ago and quite pleased with it, in fact, it'll be the only 1 I get. It's about 95% as accurate compared with the 89sabers version, which works for me. But it's nice VS updated theirs to get rid of the 16mm button and external charging port.
I did just receive the VS Baylan Skoll version 2 hilt, weathered with proffie and am quite please with it. They also delivered it in the hard case though, which I didn't order. I'm surprised it was delivered so fast. Ordered it in 3/22 and got shipment notification 3/29.
Vaders sabers sells TXQ and LGT hilts. Xeno 3 is the name of the soundcard used. So this is actually 89 sabers hilt vs. TXQ hilt
What is it you’re talking about? This is a xeno v3 board and that is a nexus saber hilt (LGT) not TXQ. TXQ is SNV4 / SNV4 PRO. So its a 89 vs xeno (NEXUS)
@TheCollectorsOutpost that must be my bad then. I was told vaders sabers only sold TXQ and LGT hilts. Maybe i was misinformed.
They dont specify on their site so i just went off of what i was told. Im still very new to the hobby and love your videos brother. You have helped me learn alot about the hobby and im very thankful for that.
I was just confused. I thought u were saying 89 vs. xeno, like if xeno made hilts. I was dumb and started researching if there were xeno designed hilts🤣. It's so hard finding all the info and knowing if it's correct.
love the channel bro
Thanks!
How many retention screw does the blade have in order to hold the blade ?
I loved the saber awesome also to anyone who ownes a Disney galaxy edge I didn’t know this till recently you can take apart the saber can convert it to profiy or xeno but you will have to watch a video to do that
I want to do that with my luke hilt
Been looking at your vids recently and tryna think on a great 1st lightsaber. Any recommendations?
This isn’t the answer you may want to hear but go with your gut. You’ll just get the feel for one and just get that one.
Agreed
There is no real answer as a saber I may love you may not. I may say go with a classic like Luke but you may want a Vader or a Kenobi. So it’s really a personal choice.
@@TheCollectorsOutpost what about top 3 company’s that you recommend like ccsaber etc
So overall final say if you can only have one, 89Sabers or Vader’s XenoV3?
Personally in this case I would go with the Xeno. Way more user friendly and they both look almost identical
man i just got this saber for $197 $202 after tax and discounts with a Proffieboard, where i get my sabers his saber can use both SNV4 Pro, XeonV3, & Proffie love the gold core & his cores alone is $40 for a SVN4 Pro $57 For a XeonV3 & $62 For a Proffie and his pre-emtpy hilts are super cheap
Where
Can you also do a playthrough of that Pantera style sounding song? Actually sounds sick :P
Can you add sound fonts to a Proffie light saber just as easy as SNV4 and golden harvest?
Or do you have to code it?
To do it right you need to code in the font. You can swap out the audio files but it’s just not the right way to do it. Proffie is not easy.
How does this compare to the sabine xeno v3 saber. Both look amazing...
Both are nice
I’m curious, the Xeno app I’m using doesn’t look like the one on screen. Granted I’m using iPhone.
Xeno just got a new updated app about a week or 2 ago. Take a look at my new video for the Ezra lightsaber and that’s the newer app.
Woah, I’m sold on the xenos now
Hey r u gonna review the accurate cal crossguard from Vaderssabers the paladins oath
If it’s sent over I sure will!
Please! Can you do a review of the same ultimateworks brand saber?
I don’t see many UW things come in here.
I am curious what blade inch is that
28inch
So is this saber from Vader's Saber the most accurate Obi-Wan TPM Lightsaber there is? If NOT who would you recommend I go through?
This and the 89 sabers version are both great.
@@TheCollectorsOutpost Right on thank you.
Hoping that one day you'll review arcann's lightsaber from Star Wars: The Old Republic 🤞🤞
Send me a link
@@TheCollectorsOutpost can't send the link through the comments but korbanth sabers has it. Comes in proffie too. I have s feeling you'll like it!
Idk. Why would we get anything else but the AZ verndari?
Because reasons
Good vid
Thanks!
