    Really great summary of both the philosophy and philosophers who made modern science possible and the scientists and the initial discoveries that proved that it was effective and valuable to human life.

    I don't know why I felt like President Barack Obama was giving the lecture, but I am totally ahead of my intro to Philosophy class because of these lectures! Thank you so much!

    This is an unfortunate misrepresentation of Machiavelli. He stated that Machiavelli was being descriptive but implied he was being prescriptive. In fact the Prince was an ironic piece and Machiavelli actually advocated Republicanism and separation of powers.
