Thanks for posting this video of a somewhat rare takeoff from SAN. It’s kind of odd seeing downtown San Diego and the Coronado Bridge out the airplane window on TAKEOFF rather than landing. I’m guessing this only happens 4 or 5 times a year; maybe a bit more, perhaps a bit less. Nice video anyway.
I stayed out in SD for a couple of years and even lived downtown right next to the airport. I can say that 9 departures happen more often than you think, I'd say 6 to 10 times per month. It's cool seeing them land over Ocean Beach at night during the fog, now that's a site to see. I have Even seen them alternate back and forth between departures and landings during wild weather.
@@dylanmartin3164 Yes! Lived right under the flight path in OB, it was fun to watch the approaches from over the ocean and see traffic switch direction on stormy days. Kinda gave Sint Maarten airplane beach vibes
that spool up was awesome

I spent 5 years out there and never flew out in the opposite direction.
That plane - is on radar - only in reverse!
And - forward -- no way u - can tap - rudder for!
