turkeypopcorn Definitely better than JHUD she was wrong for the role, but I don't think anyone could beat Queen Latifah the simplicity she used to sing that song made it all the more beautiful
I like both Jennifer Hudson and Alex Newell interpretations of the song. Both versions are really powerful and uplifting. I would favor Jennifer's version slightly based upon commercial appeal.
He sounds great, I can't deny that but I prefer Jennifer, lets face it he is still a man with a great voice, and Jennifer is a woman with a great voice. When Jennifer sings she is not trying to inmate a man she is singing like what she is a woman.
Stupidity , what the hell , when Toni Braxton sings low notes why are people not saying is ugly , but in contrast when a man touches higher notes is directly falsetto , his voice is thin it doesn’t have sufficient energy , what the hell is more talented for me because of the fact his a guy
I began listen to this song because of Alex Newell.
Ulisses Oliveira me too!!!
me tooooo
YYYAAASSS ALEX SAAAAAANG IT!!! GOOSEBUMPS ON GOOSEBUMPS!!! THis comes from a place!!! WOWWWWW!!!!
Alex is just simply fantastic!! His voice is mesmerising! :D
Let's be real. Alex has both jen and queen latifa beat on this song. Incredible
turkeypopcorn nah fam
turkeypopcorn not really. Jen has so much feeling and emotion in her version. Queen just sucks

Black Sun in my opinion Jennifer Hudson sings it better because she sings it with power and conviction like she knows where she's been.😁
Pauly- Walnuts Queen Latifah's version was so bland.
THE best performance of tour song I have EVER heard
Should have been Motormouth in Hairspray Live!
Pauly- Walnuts Lol Why Cause She Messed Up On The Last Note Girl Get Real..
Peyton Carter Because she can actually sing this song and more importantly she is actually "Big" unlike JHUD
Peyton Carter Also where did she mess up? She slayed that note
I want a voice as mixed as his.

He makes a mistake in the lyrics in the beginig, the only mistake
Felipe Lobo Sanchez yhr he said distance instead of darkness
Did not expect him to be able to get a note like that last one 😳
🤩🤩
Sang, bitch, sang!!!
What was that note at the end? C6?
Alejandro Tamez A5
@@thd6810 Its a G#5
Lucas Willian close enough lol
@@thd6810 Yes, you came close! 😅
Alex is good, but Jennifer Hudson is simply better, you can hear the rawness and pain from Hudson performance. My vote is Hudson, go get that Emmy.
I don't like this version. Too much going on. I like the lady in the play.

So what?
