Guys, she doesn't say anything blasphemous ever, she has said she will never mix sex and religion, like some popstars have done, as it goes against her beliefs. She went to 2 labels for a second christian album and they turned her down so she busted her butt and did what she had to do to get where she wanted to be and i give her so much respect for that but she still maintains her faith and therefore she has even more of my respect and i pray that God still continues to bless her for she deserves it. she has changed young people's lives.

Honestly I'm so upset with the comments I'm seeing. Just because Katy writes songs that aren't about God or Christianity doesn't mean she's gone to the devil. She still believes in god just as much as she used to! She even has Jesus Tattooed on her wrist like come on guys. Yeah she sometimes writes songs that are a bit rude or inappropriate but she's a singer/songwriter, she writes what she feels in her heart. you people just have to understand she can be her own person.
The change is evident...but I can see the benefits it has given her throughout life. It is disturbing how much she had to give up and change herself for this society to truly love her. I love all her old music. she was like a white canvas, but im sure she had the urge to become the person she is now. The fame, money, and power one could only dream of. she now has all she wants. So all in all, I thought it was a fair trade.
I like this song. I don't like her music these days. So what if I don't like it? As long as she love what she's doing then be it. We are just listeners. :)
I love her newer music and her christian-pop album. I think she still is a christian because she seems so down to earth and a great person I don't think she would change that about herself :)
Its hard to be a christian and I understand wat Katy did but I wouldn't have the gut to do tht bt God knows everything and hopefully she'll come back to him cuz its the best thing to do

@wherestheflood97 i think she just made this when she was really young and was going by her parents' values. now she has grown up and knows who she is, and doesn't believe everything she was told when she was little.

Great Jesus Christ reduced to a Katy Perry internet heavy searcher. As always, i could tell her who she is. she's someone very special. but isn't it better when they find out themselves? This is my first listen to this. It is better then i had imagined. i'll have to check out more.

The record company went out of business after the album was released...so I guess it was never promoted the way it should have been. If somebody bought the rights to this album and re-released it, I'm sure it would be huge.

ok. i can't please everybody for what they stand/think for, that's your opinion. i didn't became a fan of her because of her Christianity. i 1st saw her as katy perry and that katy hudson is just a plus because i also like her. Back then in 2009 she went here in the Philippines and did a mini concert in a mall and also gave my fellow countrymen relief goods because of the devastating typhoon Ondoy. Just recently i watched her video with a child with autism whom she sings with the song Firework.

Thank goodness she got out of this cult and is happy now. As a pastor's son, I know the freedom you feel when you walk away from childish superstitions. Rejecting christianity made me feel like I was born again. Free from the ridiculous man-made bullshit that enslaves you cult members. Enjoy this life, it's the only one you've got!

While I'd like to hear her sing gospel songs, I don't think that going mainstream should condemn her. She may very well have a stronger relationship with God because of gratitude for her new found success. Money makes life a lot easier, though. =( Speaking of, I need some money buy this CD!
