@Luciferish Tingz well, she was indeed poor even as a child. she has crocked teeth because her family wouldn't be able to pay a dentist, but yeah, she worked her ass off to be where she is right now, it wasn't an easy journey and she achieved it all by her own.
I remember finding out about Katy when I Kissed A Girl was a huge hit back in June 2008...I think I was finishing 5th grade and about to enter middle school but I did some internet digging and found all these unreleased songs of hers. I had this on repeat all year during that year and had no idea what these lyrics actually meant but I remember the entire song itself and the chorus being SO special to me...
She should make more songs like this! It sounds so good! The harmonies are excellent. And her pronouciation is brilliant! They should release more songs like this! And she should make a movie, not like Part of Me movie but like a actual movie where they have a story and scenario. It would have lots of viewers!

not the best idea. because it probably will be a pop-house or maybe ambient-pop like they make these days, with lots of reverb and moaning and grunting barely hearable words.
For some extreme coincidence I got to know this song when I was 12 years old in 2008 and it introduced me to Katy Perry. After listening a lot to OOTB and TD I was really disapointed at the direction she decided her carreer to go. I understand artists change their style over time an being successful and getting rich is important, but... I miss this so much! Anyway, we'll always have it to remind us of this amazing artist, who's one of the few I've had an opportunity to watch live almost 10 years ago. Absolutely worth it!
Right and i had so much faith for her to redeem her career. She still has time to, she just needs to let go of dr. luke, Get an ENTIRELY new team, and sing more music. I believe she will try again with another album because 143 was shit.
This song is really good, lyrically, sonically, the whole vibe is just there. Katy should let go of trying to remake teenage dream and just embrace music like this or expand to new horizons, 143 was such a mess but I hope if anything it serves as a wake up call.
